From Tip to Toe

From tip

to toe

and in between

for one fleeting moment

I felt like a queen.

I am still basking in the afterglow

of having been invited to attend the

as an "influential teacher" and to sit on stage in the good company of other teachers from different walks of life, grade levels and disciplines and to congratulate our students who have demonstrated exemplary academic achievements.

Persistence

Listening to others

Thinking flexibly

Being creative

Striving for accuracy and precision

Applying knowledge to new situations

Communicating with clarity

Responding with wonderment and awe

and ROLE MODELING

were amongst the values recognized in these fine young people as well as achieving high scores on state tests. What breathtaking images of a model student, teacher and role model that I would like to put into my reality!

Happy Pink Saturday mes amies!

I admit, some news shocks me but this does not! You dearest are an example of all of those traits. You think flexibly all day and I know, half the night. And the fact that you respond with wonderment and awe is as obvious as the morning sun.
To know you at the tippie top and the toe tap and the inbetween is a blessing for all.
Have a beautiful weekend with Professor Ruben. I'm sure he is looking towards flying to Nowhere with his Lady of Spain who he adores. Rats are REAL!

Good Morning Dearest,
up early to take in the farmers market, that takes place beside the store...might even go out for breakfast before I open. I think a crispy waffle with a sprinkling of berries might just do it.
The back yard is slowly progressing. My son is coming home next weekend for a visit{and to help with the heavy bolder lifting. I have taken next Saturday off, so I can cook and bake{and be a mom :)}
I finally picked up a patio set yesterday...I knew what i wanted, but took me a while to find it. It will be good for lounging on this summer...if the warm weather ever comes. This is the coolest spring we have ever had...SHIVER!!!
Well off I go...Have a restful long weekend...{long? Do you have a holiday as well?...forgive my ignorance}....Love Rosie

Nita, I enjoyed very much in taking the progress pictures and showing it to you and I appreciate you sincere comment and encouragment - ALWAYS!!!!*grin*

When ever I draw in a paper that is not water color , I can never transfer the SAME image. I got figure out how to do that. Many times when I draw *first* the results are better and although I can look and *repeat*, it is never the same and some how I loose something. If I draw direct on the water paper, sometimes I need to erase my lines and that does not work well too.sigh. This are some issues that being self taugh , I struggle. Thank you dear~

Hello Sweet Soul...
I really must say I LOVE to hear the events of the day...those wonder little minds...and the crazy things they do.
I have mentioned that my mom was an elementary teacher. We tease her, saying she never made it out of grade 3, because she always had a 2~3 split :)...She taught in a little country school, where I also attended. When I was in grade 5,6 & 7, we, {the boys and I} would get there as early as we could... {pretty early, as I got a ride with mom} and race out with our gloves to play "scrub"...Oh how I loved the competitiveness of this game. I would have loved for my girlfriends to join me, but they enjoyed more ladylike activities.
I played on a fast ball team when I was first married...now those girls are crazy...fun, fun, fun...I'm not able to anymore, which makes me want it even more... but He has given me new loves to fill this space.
Well dearest time for bed, as I'm in the shop tomorrow...have a blessed day with your wonderful charges...love you lots...Rosie
