Touching, whimsical, heartwarming, timeless...
As I wrote on my FB page, I am not a runner, but I know Canadians who have been preparing themselves for the Boston marathon. I admire all of these people who inspire me to do better and to believe in the strength and vitality of the human spirit. It breaks my heart every time I think of our world suffering violence, dehumanization, decaying of human life...Instead of celebrating the human determination and vigor at the finished line, we witness senseless deaths ... Thank you for this beautiful poem, my sensitive friend!

Dear Anita, If it weren't for our faith, the evil in this world would be unbearable. That also applies to a much ignored trial going on in Philadelphia at this time. I am glad there is a Heaven for innocent souls.... and another place for those who are not.

Anita this gave me chills.....your words are powerful along with the images you choose. I am so sad to think of those that are without their loved ones tonight....parents mourning an 8 year old, a fiance 2 weeks from being married mourning his bride to be, and another young adult who was taken too soon.It is so senseless, so unexplainable. Yet we cannot lose faith, we must hold out hope for a world where peace is the norm and not a luxury.
My thoughts and prayers are with all those who were affected by this horrible event.

Dear Anita.. I am crying as I read this and try to form some sort of response .... how beautifully you have expressed the tragedy of the loss of this precious little boy.... how words cannot express the utter treachery of such a loss of such an innocent child. His father will never be the same again... I only hope that he can gain strength to live for his son. All of it so terribly terribly sad .... you have done tribute to and my heart goes out to all the victims ...
hugs always and stay safe my dear friend. God now has another gorgeous little angel with him.

Dear Anita,
You have put into poetry... through your words and your images... what we are all feeling...

I am so appalled and horrified by this latest tragedy... I can't really think about anything else... I have a son who partakes in these events so I can imagine all those happy faces at the finish line... watching and waiting... the competitors... using all their reserves to make it to the end... and then boom... life is over... changed... never the same again...

Senseless... brutal... and pointless... What is happening in our world? xv

Dearest Anita, life is very strange sometimes - so beautifull and horrible ... why do people do these things to one another - so much pain and for what? Love your poem, for it captures the beauty, the hope the pain - and the search for an answer ...Love to you!

Awe, Anita, such grace streams throughout this post. The sorrow of that little lost son is mellowed with your imagination and voice. I am sure his Mother would loved to read your words. I would love to know she has read them. Did we hear she has a brain injury? What a tragedy on so many levels. Such sorrow, such senseless sorrow had befallen all of us, once again.

I can only imagine you have dedicated this to the eight year old boy who was waiting for his daddy...
Of course tears are falling down my face...
Such a loving tribute to innocence and tragedy.
I've been to Boston three times and you lived near there...so I know...those of us who know Boston can imagine the quiet of that special city being ravaged.
This week has been one of the saddest for America...it has lasted an eternity and for some, they are now in eternity waiting to be reunited at world's end with their loved ones.
Enya's music is so universal and comforting...thank you for your soothing yet powerful post.

Dearest Anita
I did think of your own dear father while reading your post...as I don't know the whole story of your father. Mine passed away in 1997 from Lymphoma, he was a dear man of God, brought us all to a saving knowledge of the Savior. All I can say is 'Praise God for our Daddies!'

Thanks for stopping by today! I'm sorry to hear you are having more snow.. gosh it keeps coming doesn't it? My gardening is a ways out as the temps are still around freezing in the morning and the highs are low forties. The ground is very muddy so I'll be starting with a few pots. The colors are so lush because we live in a constant mist.. not good for the hair!

Enjoy your day Anita!!

Anita m'y mots beautifulest of French friends, with so much going on in the world and life at home along with work and creating I so needed to rest my brain on a simple thought of simple, posting a few photos of depth and meaning to what one takes from it, making it personal to each in how they want to interrupt it into there own lives.

Like you my friend your words are gathered and collected for safe keeping to them be used in due time in a message for all in how they want to use it.
Your post here in my return wrenches at my heart losing my father at the age of 14 and wanting to share with him my run.
Life is funny my sweet friend but we so get why we run that path to where we want it to take us, and who is rooting us on in the run is our beloved, gone but not out of sight.

Touching our souls, with your wand of beauty and grace.

See you soon my friend, I am running along side you.

There was something so evil about bombing the Boston Marathon. It is a great holiday there... a day to play hooky. People are happy and loose and enjoying the day and runners are pushing themselves and proud to run. I think the image that I can't shake is the one of the dead boy asking for peace. What a world. We have to do better.
