  14. There is no place I'd rather be....I want to move right into your heart.

Loving that room of white with that settee, and that first room of cozy woods is soulfully moving.
As for the paintings, I see the darkness is soulfully connected and the dove is releasing it.
This Easter's prayer is for you, that peace and beauty is all around you.

  15. Dearest Anita,

I am happy to read that you found inner peace. I try to find it too, but it's still difficult. Perhaps I need more time. The garden is a place where I can find it, but somehow I always invite friends and family whenever I am there :-) Hopefully this summer I will be able to spend more time there on my own.

You asked about my allotment garden. It's on the outskirts of Rotterdam, on an allotment complex dating back to the 1930s. Because it's old, it has some amazing trees! I have an old pine tree in my garden, which is beautiful and always full of birds. I rent the garden from the municipality of Rotterdam, but we bought the little garden house. Whenever I cycle to the garden, it feels like going on holiday :-) I have organised an Easter brunch in the garden tomorrow morning, with my daughters and my parents. I am looking forward to it very much!

Hope you and your family will have a lovely Easter too!

  22. Sweet friend-this post reflects life, even in the slight disarrays and disruptions that happen to us all. The image of the woman holding tight to the horse speaks to me. We hold on tight and we ride it out. I do hope, my dear, that you are feeling better by now. I know it's been a process and I'm hoping and praying for healthy reports. I've said it before, you are a gift to this community. Be well and it's wonderful to see this glorious post. Happy Easter my friend.

  24. Dearest Anita,

Being under the weather grants us a period of calm and inner reflection; a time when we climb off the helter skelter of life. I am quite certain you will come out of this spell of physical tiredness feeling more serene and with a sharper perception on what is important in your beautiful life.

Happy Easter to you both. I wish you joy, peace and enlightment.

Today we are going to wash the dogs (big job) and I need to buy and prepare food for our Easter dinner tomorrow.
But guess what I'm doing, a last minute table centerpiece and door basket.

Sometimes one must go with ones inspiration and ignore reality.
Food? You wanted food to eat? But look at my decorations!

  60. Thank you sweet Anita! Man! That post spoke to me. LIFE just by itself is an interruption in our daily agenda, that is indeed intertwined in LIFE. You said it beautifully without virtual complaint. I'm yet to do a new 'thrift outfit' post, but my polyvore versions are on the low - end scale for, dang sure, which still in the thrift pocket, basket or category. But is it difficult to do life when real life gets in the way; ie. cancer and it's treatments. How is your health this day? Better, I sure hope! May God's blessing help you and heal you! He is the ultimate healer after all. ♥, Renae

  72. Yes! I can definitely relate to what you are saying. There are lots of things that slow me down, not only lately, but it seems like all the time. But they are good. I have to slow down for my little children-- which is lovely, and I have to slow my progress sometimes to not overtax my body or budget. Some of these slow-downs keep me from making huge mistakes, as I can be impetuous, and as you've said-- they do make me reflect on the Power within. I love that the most.

I hope your Easter was wonderful, and that your newest ventures are all doing well.

That is a really wonderful exercise..taking random words
and putting them together! I have done this several times...
I make a list of words and then I start to write with them...
and before long I have a chapter for my artfulfairytale...its
pretty much how this whole tale has been composed...

i am glad spring rains have found their way to you...its
getting warmer here...i guess the heat will be upon us
soon...and with it nights of writing...happy sunday my
    far away friend!

    you are well...again...and feeling yourself?

  108. A gorgeous post my dear Anita!!! You know just how to say the things my heart feels.
Sometimes I think our lives get disrupted so we can know how to truly be thankful when things are right. I think true grace is when we can show our appreciation even in the hard things that life flings our way.
    sending hugs...

  112. Hi beautiful Anita!!!!!
    Another fabulous post!!!!!
Have you seen all this insane weather?!?! Those poor people in Arkansas!!!! The tornado threat was in our area too but luckily we only got hail and heavy thunderstorms. We're supposed to get more tomorrow. It had been warm for a week but now it's cool again.
    How is everything with you?
My dad got me started loving Starbucks vanilla rooibos tea when he was visiting. My dad has another treatment coming up in AZ....
Hope you had a wonderful day!!!!
    Love & Hugs,

  130. Anita, thanks for the comment. Did you see how upset the owner was? He was so mad that all the horses that start in the Derby and Preakness, then the last Belmont race is 1 1/2. He said the horses are tired and that only the ones in the orig race should be allowed to Run. I agree he has a point. Those horses have been working hard and then they sneak in some fresh blood, it's not fair.

  131. O how I love this last photo of this post. This room gives me such peace. I need to get some pale grey velvet pillows.

I just wanted to come by and say hi and wish you a most beautiful Summer holiday. May you find the restoration needed after a long year of hard work. May the light of His countenance shine upon you and give you peace. xxo Kerrie

  132. Moved to tears. One of the most beautiful posts I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I am now nearing the end of my life and I know my years..perhaps days are numbered. I feel it. I thought I would mind when these day began to arrive..but you sort of sink into it and accept. This was ...something I want to go through again. Save. Share.
    Thank you..
