Oh Anita.... This post made my heart melt... Breathtaking photos, and your words...Give more than you take.... We should all follow those words.. I love the photo with the child and pony, the woman in the lush green grass and the child looking back... I always look forward to your posts. Beautiful, just beautiful!

Gorgeous post, as always Anita. I am missing summer already, even though fall has not officially arrived. The kids are back at school, the days are still, instead of filled with the laughter of children splashing in the pool and running amok. We rise in the dark and the sun sets earlier...I am a summer girl and while I make the best of fall and winter, I can't help but feel a little bit melancholy!

Early this morning, I watched HOLLAND GRACE play her first ever soccer game in the foreground of the most glorious MT RAINIER! BEN was completely fascinated with THE MOON still shining in the bright morning sky! DEAREST ANITA, your post is the perfect finale to this SWEETest of SEPTEMBER Saturdays.
For a moment I thought the image with the beam framed chandelier was your home! I can't wait to see your beams!
MR D is playing Sinatra and is almost finished staining the desk.

You know how much I love your Saturday evening posts!

September is a delightful month. I love it too. The light, the colours and the harvesting we can do in the nature.
Yesterday I was out in the forest collecting some mushrooms. I found some and they where of really high quality.
I loved the photo of the bicycle and the sunflowers. The other photos where lovely too, but I just loved the first one.
Wish you a happy sunday.

My eyes have filled with tears, Anita. Thank you for this beautiful insight of yours. It could not have come at a better time. The weather has been glorious for the past two weeks and my almost 92 year old father was rushed into hospital with pneumonia (first time ever) whilst here in France He's out now but, as you can imagine, we've been on a rollercoaster of emotions this week and are now grateful for his continued presence in our lives.

Warmest wishes to you as every,

Nice! September is a bittersweet time of year for me. Generally, I've tended to prefer August and October--on either side of the transition. But I'm learning to appreciate September. Lovely post, Anita!

So nice to see you post. And thanks for stopping by. Your school year sounds like it's off to a busy start. Those students that have you for a teacher are so blessed. I hope they realize it. If not now, years later, I'm sure they will look back with fond memories. I have some teachers that I still think about that I had throughout my years in grade school, junior high, high school & college.

Here's to a new week and I hope you get some down time as well during the busyness of the work day to just stop and breathe and enjoy. :)

Love to you,

Anita,
Oh Yes, sweet September, it will always be a favorable month for me. I smiled BIG when I saw the basket of sunflowers, and is that a WHITE sunflower, maybe all dried up - it's so beautiful? I loved the picture of the leaves so much and it brought back a special memory for me. I even tear up when I think of it. My mom used to have a picture of Jell and Nel when they were little playing in the leaves, throwing them up in the air, and it was in her kitchen. It was one of her favorite pictures, and she kept it in her kitchen until she passed away. If I ever find it, I will send you a copy. I bet there is so much to do for you in September with school and work and all. I hope the school year is a pleasant one so far. The picture here with the little girl jumping over the fence with enthusiasm touched my heart, as I see a little of that in all of us from time to time. What a sweet September post, Anita. And by the way, I loved the music, it's always been a favorite of mine.

Have a wonderful September week.

Septembre

Le ciel est plein de bleu
et de blanc si tendre
frêle et pâle...
comme l’eau…
comme un désir caché…
Doux comme la nostalgie,
la pluie tombe de temps en temps...

C’est comme le vent
qui frémit entre les feuilles
que tu erres dans mes pensées…
C’est comme un oiseau
qui dort entre le feuillage
que tu sommeilles dans mon esprit…

Autumn is my favorite time of the year! I love everything about it, especially the scents. We're already experiencing a crisp chill in the air and the leaves have started to change here in NJ. It's wonderful!
I hope you're enjoying your new school year and have a classroom full of bright and eager students! How lucky are they to have such an AMAZING teacher!!!
We're long overdue for a Skype visit...
Miss you.
xoxo

Hello dearest Anita!!!!
How was your weekend? It was pretty hot here but then cooled off Sunday.
My husband and I watched the movie "The Fault In Our Stars".... Wow!!!! Great movie but incredibly sad. I was sobbing by the end. I have not read the book yet.
How is school? I bet you're looking fabulous with your amazing style!!!!
Hope you had a wonderful day!!!!

Hi Anita,
I hope you are having a good week! And a belated birthday to your husband. His birthday is the same as my nephew's.

Are you still having sunshine? We have rain here but it's still warm...so kind of muggy. The sunshine should return soon though.

Hope school is going well for you. It will be Christmas break before you know it. haha...

Love to you, my sister.

Dear sweet Anita,
Thanks for your visit to Philly to take a stroll through Elfreth's alley. I always enjoy waking up to a comment left by you, it's a like unwrapping a present and always appreciated. Fall is in the air, tomorrow will be windy and rainy. Lots of rain! Today I picked up two white Lumina pumpkins, one I'm calling Tall Boy the other short girl. Will wait until the rain ends to put them outside on our stoop. Sending my love,
Vera

Anita, your post is so gorgeous! I was feeling a little grumpy about fall when I woke up to pouring rain and dark skies this morning, but this has cheered me right up. I think I'll go buy a bouquet of happy yellow sunflowers like that first photo! Thanks for turning my day around and thanks also for popping over to say hello last week! We pass each other so often out in blog land, it was wonderful to see you at I Dream Of.

Hope your fall has begun beautifully! XO

Today while reading I felt such calm and peace enter my heart and then when I read the line "give more than you take', I smiled and grow teary - good tears.

Anita,
Good evening, my friend. So, you used to ride a WHITE HORSE, OH MY! What an experience that would be. This white horse by my house is so lovely, and I saw him hanging out with a grey one, which you would also like. It's been pretty hectic here with the move and all, but I am settling in, and feeling so very thankful for my new home. I'm just catching up tonight and visiting my special blog friends. I love the picture on here of the old man just sitting on his chair looking at the ocean. It looks to me like he is deep in thought, even if his back is turned and I can't see his face. I hope the school year is going smoothly, and all is well with you.

love,
~Sheri

You came over to met Cosmo! Thank you for your kind words! Funny you should mention a penguin , I was thinking about making one, but had used the balance of my black wool for Cosmo.. As soon as I replenish, I may give it a try.
I would like to try an Emperor penguin..

It's me again, Well Anita Renee's wedding wet so well. Father Peter did a fabulous job. He had all of us come up
and we all said we agreed on the marrage. Then we all went to the restaurant. It was a glorious day and Renee's daughter came to Maine from Florida, even the two dogs were in the church. Well it's time for me to listen to Dave's dog sing again. Unbelieveable and funny. The Post is gorgeous, big hug and LOL , does that mean laugh out loud
or lots of love. yvonne

Missing Sweet September already! While fall is not my favorite season (I'm a spring and summer gal!), I do enjoy some things about Sep and Oct. The gorgeous colors, leaves flying through the air on a rush of spiraling wind, the smell of woodsmoke in the neighborhood. Wishing you a wonderful fall.
