And this is exactly what I'm going to do...

1. I weep as I write.

2. There are several of you who I admire.

3. You will remain a part of my daily life.

4. This is my last blog post.

You see my friends,

It's about time.

anita rivera

It's about time

I say goodbye.

Because

I no longer have the time to:

develop my own photography

create meaningful blog posts

and

work as a full-time French teacher

while aspiring to be

a real poet.

In our blogging world where

a beautiful home

arts and crafts

and obtaining desirable things

is mainstream

I have no more to offer.

I enjoy using music

and

stunning imagery

to accompany my own words.

But I can't produce

my own rhythms

or

my own visuals that reflect my life.

There.

I've written one true sentence

at a time

to compose this narrative

because

Oh...

I forgot

the truest sentence of all:

I love you.

Anita, you wore MUSK too hehehe? Weren't those styles something else? This one particular dress on my post my mom made for my Confirmation at church. This friend of mine had all the latest things before I ever did and she introduced them to me, fashion, jewelry, music. Oh Yes, DO call your friend from high school. I bet she'd love to hear from you.

Enjoy your weekend, Anita. :~)

Anita, you will be missed, but I do understand your decision, especially with your teaching profession! Somehow, many of your poems meshed with my own experiences and sentiments at that precise moment in time; so I thank you for all of them. It is with sadness that I say good-bye, but perhaps another time, another place our paths shall cross again....

I just wanted to come and say hi to you here....it feels like "home" for so many reasons. :) Guess what? I'm typing on a keyboard! A little bluetooth one, it's so cute....now my clumsy fingers won't mess up the typing... ;)))
Thank you again ever so much, dear one. Have a beautiful Sunday....

Bonjour dear Anita.
Merci for your visit this morning... Having trouble with my email, will try again later today..
Yes, he was the sweetest man... I do not know what region of France he was from.. It would be very interesting to know.
So happy you enjoyed walking down memory lane with me.. Yes, I think you should gather your photos. Bisous, dear friend!

hi my sweet friend, Anita! Oh yes your idea of wearing a crisp white blouse and diamond studs are perhaps going to be in this re-creating a polyvore, perhaps next time. I am really into those Polyvores now days. I am because I figured out how to make them under $50 options per item. True, my thrift outfits are always below $50 for the entire ensemble, not per item. But heck, that is still having a great outfit without breaking the bank in some form or another. So great to see YOUR COMMENTS on my post again! You ROCK!!!!! ♥, Renae

Oh Anita, somehow I missed this post. In a way I wish I had missed it, if only to know that a new post would be coming soon. I am so sad to hear that you have decided to stop blogging completely. You are not only a very loving, but talented lady as well. I enjoyed reading your beautiful words, looking at your fairy tale images and your own photo's, which are REALLY good. I so wish you had more time and energy to continue.

I think I understand though. When you have been blogging for such a long time, like the two of us, it's difficult to find something new. Perhaps 'new' things are not to be found in the blog world, but in real life. I may decide to follow your example one day. I hope we haven't lost you completely Anita. It would make me even sadder.

Sending you lots of LOVE too!

Hello dear Friend!,
I thought that I would have gotten here sooner, but I am so involved in painting and flooring the laundry room! I can't believe how long and drawn out the work is ( it is never that long in the imagination of the creating in the mind)!! But it is almost finished and I am looking forward to doing laundry in the new washer and dryer!! :-)
I was glad to see you at the "Apothecary"!! (and so were the Mousies)!!
I hope that you and Ruben are enjoying a wonderful peaceful Sunday (and Happy Valentines Day)!
I pray that your creativity in your poetry is flowing freely and is satisfying and full!!
Many many Blessings, Sending warmth and love , Linnie and Mousiekins

Many thanks for your kind words here. I am in the process of making a book of my blog, but with my own photos...I suppose you are looking at the pins on my boards of other photos? Not mine! Mine are OK, but I really appreciate you commenting on my taste of pins! Many happy wishes to you! Anita

Hi Anita, I am so sorry to hear about those kidney stones. Yikes, that is painful! I am sure your doctor is giving you what you need to dissolve them .. and I hope they pass quickly. Yes, spinach isn't something that's good for you to have right now so perhaps a good replacement is kale or arugula. Hang in there my friend .. this too will pass :):) ha...... we need to keep our sense of humor as we deal with some of these health issues that crop up "mid" life.

Oh Anita, I wanted to tell you that I didn't buy the bunny cup from Antrhropologie. I found it at Hobby Lobby, although I find the cutest things at Anthropologie, and it's a favorite store of mine. I didn't realize you had two in your area. Do you ever go to them? It was a fun day of shopping, but my feet are getting more tired and hurt when I go out for too long. That's the only bad thing about a long day of shopping.

Oh Anita, you can tell that you are so beloved when you have over 200 comments hehehe. Have a beautiful Sunday.

love you.

Anita: I am sad for us, but happy for you. You're going to go after what you want most...I wish you all the luck in the world. You are a talented woman and can do anything!
Sometimes blogs do become tedious and our lives demand more attention OR we just have been doing it too long. I'm in my late 70's and have been blogging for 7 or 8 years and have considered frequently ending my blogging days. I'm going to decide this summer. The only down side...I will miss all the good friends I have made. I will miss you too, Anita, as even though I don't comment all the time, I do read and enjoy your posts.
Good luck to you, always!

I have been meaning to leave a message and have stopped in several times but I am not good with good byes . Truly I understand as there is only so much of us to go around and I know this all too well. We create and love to share but all good things do come to an end if they become too draining of our hearts desire . Giving too much of ourselves can becomes overwhelming it can have us feeling like acaged canary singing our little hearts and knowing the tune is well loved ~ yet sadly after a while we realize we have boxed ourselves in . Open the cage and fly sweet singing little bird fly again, spread your wings and cover new ground. We will always appreciate the beautiful song you sang here.

Good Morning Anita! Oh my, I cannot believe the cold weather you are still getting! You will appreciate the warmer temperatures SO much when they come. Our weather has been gray, rainy, and in the forties to fifties .. typical for this time of year. I Know what you mean about the WHITE in the kitchen. When we were drawing up the house plans we decided to (go over our budget;) and add vaulted ceilings with big windows so we could see the forest trees. It's interesting that so many folks living in this area still have the traditional home with all the boxed in rooms. Besides added light, we also decided to paint the kitchen white with the exception of the black island. Now, even if it's cloudy (which Seattle is know for;) I still get the natural daylight and it really brightens the day.

I hope you do something fun for your upcoming spring break! Enjoy your day and stay warm:) xxLeslie
