It is time to be escorted

Another Summer.
I always find myself looking ahead to the next season that is ending to do things better than I did during it

Anita,
ReplyDeleteI know I have said this many times with regard to your posts, but WOW. I especially like the worded image of looking "with eyes wide open wherein hues unappreciated reflect back in unimaginable glory." Talk about the life that gains perspective. I also love your picture choices. The multicolored wave curl, and the magical entrance to the verdant path. You lift me up.
Love
Ruben

Beautiful Anita.
ReplyDeleteI love the opening of 'not becoming what we want by remaining what we are'....how profoundly simple....yet so difficult for many to undertand.
Change comes...either by choice or by force.
Have a beautiful late summer weekend!

That is so sweet...beautiful colors, sound, message...our next beautiful summer to come. and hang on to this one for all it has.
ReplyDeleteI believe I could read your work from an unknown source, publication... anywhere in the entire world... and be able to pick out an Anita Rivera original every single time. Do you know why? Because it is pure MAGIC. No one writes like you, no one thinks like you, no one has the"gift" you possess.
ReplyDeleteOne only discovers "magic" like you once in a lifetime.
Miss you... xo
Enchanting and very thought-provoking. Not to waste another nano second of our precious time we have. Breathtaking my dear...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely kick-off to my summer weekend. May I continue to find this kind of beauty in the things that surround my path this weekend.
ReplyDeleteHello Dear,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have discovered a lot of new things this summer and have been blessed with doors, as well as your eyes wide open for new adventures. I don't really want summer to end just yet. Looking forward to another one too! :)

La douceur de la musique de Yann Tiersen et ces images qui font glisser vers la fin de l'été... Your world and your imagination are beautiful. I would like to know where is the place I can find the statues in a garden? It's incredible !
ReplyDeleteThanks for the dream.
Perfect.
ReplyDeleteThank you.

Never was a truer thing said. A clear eye and an open heart makes everything new and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh how I covet those bearded sentries on the path. Reminds me of one of my favorite places on earth... the garden of Bomarzo -- Bosco dei Mostri... magic surprises at every turn.
Here's to a life full of such wonder for us all!
A change of season should be welcomed with great anticipation especially the Summer... Thanks for the inspiration. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anita, that photo was taken last year way before My surgery. How sweet of you.Denise

You came to dance with me, dear sister!! WOOHOO!
ReplyDeleteNo other art stirs my soul quite like this...merci chere amie...and keep dancing!!
BISOUS
So beautiful Anita...and so much wisdom.
ReplyDeleteHaving chased after the things mentioned in your poetry for many years, it was nice to finally learn how to celebrate each season, each day, and now, at last, each hour.
I loved the image,(especially the path)and the quotes. Is that a picture of the Rivera doorstep?
I hope you find time to read my replies to YOUR visits since it is my only way to visit with YOU. Wishes for a beautiful week!! Lisa
Spectacular images on this post. Love the chandelier and the orange horizon over the ocean.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely this post is today, Anita. And it really hit home for me today, as I have been dreaming of the future. The unknown can be quite scary, you know? I love this little girl with the book. She looks so curious. It sounds like you are enjoying the summer. It is too hot here in California, and as I get older, I don't do well with the heat. Can I borrow some of your weather? Oh, that haunting path, I love it.
ReplyDeleteAnd love you,
~Sheri at Red Rose Alley
so many beautiful things here to see and THINK/PONDER upon.
ReplyDeleteIt might be astounding if we looked at our surroundings with "new eyes"
seeing what we have missed because our opinions and frustrations of life in general cast a shadow on the beauty that is there....for us to find.
If we are willing.
Oh how I hate to see summer end. Anita, I truly will have to find a way of looking at winter with NEW EYES and a whooooole new perspective.
It is hard.
Dearest Anita, wow, such a lovely post - strikes a note in me! I also love the quote you put above - yes, life is change and transformation, we musn't be afrais of that, for how should we get those butterfly wings? Colorful greetings for a magnificent weekend of summer! xox
ReplyDeleteAnd oh it has been a wonderful summer..I don't want to say goodbye yet..
ReplyDeleteAs laways Anita..gorgeous images here and such lovely words.
hugs & kisses!

ah...yes with new eyes...that is a great inspiration....thank you for motivating & inspiring!
ReplyDeleteSo very lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you dear friend for coming over to visit today..
ReplyDeleteOh I just love this post..
Bisous!
Oh how I treasure summer....I just want to hold onto it forever yet knowing the changing of the seasons probably make me appreciate summer more. It is just so hard to say goodbye.....even for awhile.
ReplyDeleteYour posts are lovely and a gift to us all.
Hello Anita,
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a lovely day. We had much cooler temps today. Yahoo!!! I am not a fan of 100 degree days. I cannot believe that school starts next week. I bet you are giddy with excitement to think that you don't have to go back.
Take care my friend...
Heidi
Beautiful as ever Anita !
ReplyDeleteAt the moment we have a heatwave, bit to much for me.
Love and a big summerhug

Good morning my dearest! Thank you so much for coming by this morning...yes, our sweet girl took about half of those pics...she is teaching ME! Just as it should be.:)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day, dear one, we are running off...but when I come back I will e-mail...
Love you!
As always, stunning visuals and heartfelt prose. Each post is a work of art.
ReplyDeleteAnother summer can wait. I can't wait for Autumn in New England.
Anita, your comment on my blog was so sweet. Thanks girly.
ReplyDeleteI guess you could say I am pretty much a country girl...but I DO LOVE ME a little dress up time and the mall.
Too bad you can't get out here and ride my horses with me. It is a fun thing to do.
And...I LOVE the fairs, they are full of such fun things to see, smell and taste.
Another season, another journey, what a life! I want to walk down that haunting path, my eyes will, indeed, be wide open. The music is rather haunting too, and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you enjoyed our quilt trail, it really was wonderful to see the spirit of camaraderie that went into the whole idea. So many saw the blocks and wanted one for their barn or business too. The local artists, schools and women's groups painted them. I painted 2 of them, it was all I could handle, they are HUGE!

ReplyDeleteHi Anita, George here :) This is deep but I think I understand. Moms been at a friends all weekend miles away, it has been raining here but she says it was sunny where she was. I hope its not the end of the summer, the time goes so fast. Two weeks and Mom will be back at work :( and winter will be on its way. I'll be keeping watch.
ReplyDeleteFancy you seeing a dog like Tess, I can't believe there is another one like her!!
Have a Good Week
See Yea George xxx
This post is a MOVING post Anita, I am not sure how you do it, all the creating, all the remodeling, all the beautiful posting and it all comes together as if no thought was put into it than what comes natural to you, and that is the beauty within you. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so blessed to have a friend who lightens and brightens our world.
Keep inspiring your beauty within and all around you.
Anita, I am so happy you are inspired by your Nina win at my place, and go figure that you would be one of the winning draws. The universe works in many ways, and God is in control.
Thank you for encouraging my art in all that I create.
A bit of Union Jack for a short while, I had to try my hand at one, this is what an artist does, you know this to be true :)

Hello Anita
ReplyDeleteThank You for the visit, I am indeed feeling better, I still have a limp but I don't think that will ever go. I so pleased Ruben is moving around better and pain free, does that mean he chases you around! I've told Mom it would do her good to go on the same thing.
Love you Tess xxx

Hello Anita,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty post! I am so excited that you get to have a fun week, not having to go back to school! You're going to feel like a kid locked inside a candy store left alone in your studio, I bet. heehee...
Thanks so much for stopping by and wishing my Mama a Happy B-day! You are so sweet what you said. I love that we look alike. Thank you! In fact, I edited my post and put a different picture up of her and I today. It was last night when I was writing the post and I realized that I didn't really have many recent pictures of her...as well as the two of us together. So, I made sure to have one of my brothers take our photo today. :)
Okay, my dear. It's been a busy weekend. I hope you had a good one as well!
Love to you!
Heidi

We need to catch up soon. Kids go back to school next week, so finally....some time to myself! yay!!! Miss you! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteThat end of summer feeling is in the air, even in Texas! It is both nostalgic and hopeful... just as life and it's chapters, end end of summer always signals a fresh start with fall. I pray for eyes that will see and be involved with the everyday world in which I live, and the people on my pathway.
ReplyDeleteIt's for sure my eyes will keep watching this page sweet friend! :)
Where oh where did my comment go this morning.. I was sure I brought you some blueberry scones to go with our tea! Thank you my dear friend for wandering over this morning.

Hello, dearest Anita
ReplyDeleteYour posts are always so uplifting.
I think sometimes I take the burden of the world upon my shoulders. I feel for every human being on the planet no matter their station in life or circumstance. There is always HOPE for the most despondent of humankind. Jesus paid it all.

My son asked if he could have a Count Sealyham to give to his girl friend for her birthday. I reluctantly let him have one ;)
ReplyDeleteJust thought you'd like to know :)
I so appreciate your aesthetic and your beautiful talent.

I think we tend to enjoy each season more as we grow older, don't you think? We appreciate the differences and we hope they will linger just a tad more...instead of wishing for the next one to come soon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words, Anita. As always, your choice of images coupled with your marvelous poetry, touch my heart and lift up my spirits (it's not possible not to feel happy after visiting your blog!) Have a wonderful weekend, my dear friend.
Besos.

Such delights you always find! The little blonde boy on the crescent moon boat? I had that as a card, when I was much, much smaller. (But not so young as I am now) I treasured it for years. Thank you for letting me visit it again.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to AUTUMN to come ...
ReplyDeleteIt's my most favorite season .
Maybe it's because I was born in november I feel so connected to this season .
But hey ..... the colors are awesome and the fragrance is so delightful
and all the most beautiful surprises are laying on the ground to show us the magic of all SUMMER HAS BEEN WORKING ON .....
We are allowed to taste the fruit
to pick the berries..... to bake and taste and above all
TO BE SO SURPRISED by all of it
and the season brings us in the house ( in ourselves ) again and all can be at ease .....
we have little lights all around and we are counting our blessings
I love all of that !
I hope you can enjoy the next season too !
Hey sweet Anuta, thanks for your lovely visit! You're always so thoughtful and kind! Yes, i too have the impression, that many bloggers are away - that's the energy of summer! Must be a great feeling for you, not having to return to school soon, no? I think if you have the energy to yourself, you'll work wonders with it! Have a blissful sunday with lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteAs always, my visit here is enchanted and wonderful. Oh how I do love to visit with you and wish you lived close so we could chat and pet the rabbits together. Just placed an order in your Etsy shop for some lovely and magical tags. I can't wait to get them.

Bonjour precious Blogger friend! :) I am back from MIA...summer has been hectic, but I'm still breathing... ;) Tonight I decided to plunge back on board and post and visit my friends. I've been keeping in touch with many bloggers by Facebook this summer, which has made it easier with my facepaced schedule. But even some weeks I've been absent from that as well. I have a lot to catch up on your blog, I am sure. I hope to enjoy joining some of your Paris themed Linkies later this year if you're still doing them. I visited Margaret from The French Bear; another blogger buddette I love visiting and noticed she had joined you in June. How fun... Must definitely reconnect soon, I think of you often friend! Hugs...and blessings abundantly! xoxo ~CC
ReplyDeleteDearest Anita ... I am here finally and once again I am speechless at your command of the language! The language that brings us all together! I will be in New York in December from the 4th for one week ... if you happen to be there visiting I would love to meet you! I am thinking of arranging a blog lunch with whomever could come!

Fine.
