ReplyDeleteDeaf heart,
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well. You won't believe it, but a very heavy piece of furniture fell on me today hurting my left leg. It's beginning to feel a bit biblical around here. If you know what I mean.
Love and miss you!
Nancy

A beautiful reminder of the precious teachers who have blessed by life. It feels to me each teacher has come along just at the perfect time. Thank you for creating posts that allow us to dream our dreams and go where we want to go with them.
ReplyDeleteHello my friend,
ReplyDeleteI do hope that you are well. This post is beautiful and moving for all that are taking chances and leaving their old life and beginning anew. I know that you will reach for the stars and the moon and you will be richer and healthier for it!
Be brave my dear for although at times you feel uncertain you made the right decision. Your writing, and your art are magical and they touch so many, just as you did and will continue to do as you teach.
Take care and have a magical week, xo Elizabeth
Your words make me feel like swinging on my own paper moon. Lovely as always, Anita.......Sarah
ReplyDeleteYou know that high arched window in our great room? Last night we had the lights off, and yet it was so bright as the full moon shined into the room through that window.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we can't even see the moon, the clouds hide it...
But it is up there.
Over the rainbow...
And when the night is the darkest ~ that's when the moon's light shines brightest.
The crafting of your words,
like your paper art, Anita~

(oh, that music!)
You shine like a million brilliant stars, and if you're familiar with the lyrics to that song....it is all REAL because we believe in you...
Love love love...
Hello Anita:
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely captivating story. We are entranced both by the words and the pictures and, all the time, listening to and enjoying the piano music playing on in the background. What a treat this all is for a rather grey and damp Monday morning. And now, at this moment, the music has, sadly, ended.
Have a lovely week!
La mélodie du bonheur !
ReplyDeleteGros bisous lumineuse Anita et très belle semaine

Oops...all of those typos. Sorry....I am typing this on my phone...
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time here - from Renae's blog.
ReplyDeletePhew - I loved your story and your photography.
I think the story - at least to me - was trying to give us a message.
Hope you have a great week.
sandie
(oh Anita, I see my girlfriend, Chatty Crone has come your way. She is an amazing gal. Get to know her.)
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw the Paper Moon, that song got in my mind and thought for sure that would be the music this time. I do love the song you selected! Kooser is giving me writers block. It is a though my poetry isn't good enough. Odd huh? I love his explanation, reasons or such but I can't seem to write now.
Thank you for saying my smile is so nice. I'll be back to view this one over and over and over, so don't you mind that!
Ooooooh, so darling this post Anita! A paper moon made by you - in your unique style - did you make obe yet? Anyway, love the magic in what you put together here. with so many gorgeous pix and care. Am glad to hear your weather is lovely. We had a sunny and fine day too - i just bought pumpkin for soup tomorrow. Have a sweet and relaxing evening! xx

Good night sweet dreams from me to you Midnight overhere so I am going to sleep but I'll be back tomorrow
ReplyDeleteLove your new post dear friend
I take the words with me into the night *
My dearest Anita....
ReplyDeleteI am so captivated by the music...you transport me to another place and time...
How enchanted and mesmerized I am by this lovely post, as it is drizzling rain, here...and the drops on the tin roof have me in such a dreamy state.
Much love to you and our dear Violet, for capturing your beauty at the harp..
Always,
Christie
This post is pure magic, my talented friend.
ReplyDeleteSomehow it awakens the little girl inside of me who has always believed that true love makes life worth living...
Live your dream and wear your passion, sweet Anita.
Thank you for inspiring me to do so.
P.S I am so happy you have a new camera and you are having FUN! Soon you will be entirely hooked .
ReplyDeleteAperture, exposure compensation and ISO will become your newest "friends" :) Enjoy!
Anita, Your posts are always sweet balm to my heart and soul. I love how your brain works, not like mine at all. And I love your art and the fact that you play the harp. Harp music is one of my favs. Not harp music, but French--amelie-les-crayons. She's French and this album is so light hearted and sweet. I think I got it on Amazon, but she has a website www.amelielescrayons.com. Check it out.
ReplyDeleteLove, Mary
Yes, Anita, I get that. But I believe nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying. The difficulties will arise; yet, as you pointed out, stars can't shine without darkness. You are a star, dear, you will always be; even if you are not supporting your family with your art. You make thousands out there BELIEVE in themselves and made their own world MEANINGFUL. Keep doing it!
ReplyDeleteDearest Anita,
ReplyDeleteNel and her husband danced to their song at the wedding, HARVEST MOON by Neil Young, and it made me cry with joy. I love this post today and all the black and white on it. Is that you playing the harp? You are so beautiful! This little girl took my breath away. She is precious beyond words. I must come back to see her. Have a happy week, and please know how special you are to me.
~Sheri at Red Rose Alley
I would have written you back if I had your email. But I was thinking whenever someone is thinking about letting go - something deep is going on. Good luck to follow your dreams.
ReplyDeleteOh Anita,
ReplyDeleteYou are the lesson, teaching us all to love the passion for creating within.
Your paper art is the soul of everything you create, be it wood, cloth, or paper it all measures up to what you put into it, and it always seems to give back soulfully.
You climb, and hang from paper stars adding to their brightness....
You are the promise of the morning star with a beautiful musing heart keeping us wondering what creative piece you will part with, and of course your dearest piece meets our eyes for the first time leaving us in awww!... for its your creative heart that keeps us visiting to steal away a piece of you.
Love your theatre' mice, and you playing your music to the stars.
xoxo
May you count your lucky stars that you have love and art.
Blessings
Dore
Thank you Anita for your lovely posts, always a very good moments when I visit you.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week
Cecilia
Dear Anita
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful post as always! To brush the stars and touch the moon! In our dreams it is always the most beautiful part! I love that piece of music from Sense and Sensibility as well.... so exquisite.....
lots of love always
Frances xx
Lovely (as always)... and such perfect timing.
ReplyDeleteYou WILL continue the journey, Anita... perhaps at a different "speed", with eyes wide open, and a new sense of purpose? Hmmm??
We have much to discuss this week...
By the way, you really didn't expect me to close my eyes and walk away with such NEWS, did you?? ha ha
The journey has just begun, my friend!
xo
I love sitting outside and looking up. It's humbling and inspiring at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know what you're thinking right now... I just know you're not giving up on something that fits you so well, but are there some changes coming in your life?
Hello beautiful Anita!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThose Miu Miu crystal heels in your post are divine!!!!!
Like Cinderella's glass slippers!!!!! These photos are all fabulous!!!!! Did you see the harvest moon Saturday night? It was gorgeous here like straight out of a fairytale!!!
My husband & I celebrated our 15 year anniversary last week; it was wonderful. I can't believe how fast it has all gone by!!!! I remember that day so well too!!!! It seems like a minute ago!!!!!
I hope you had a terrific weekend!!!! We've had great weather here for the most part with cool & warm days.
Luv & Hugs!!!!! :-)

Anita,Yes paper moons are fun for awhile, then you realize what's really important, what last more than a season.I'm so glad the little girl bloomed into the beautiful flower she is today. The wonderful teacher and artist and wife whom We've all grown to love. oxox Denise
ReplyDeleteInspiring as usual, Anita.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day,
Marcia
By the way, my friend, paper moons are important too. Keep dreaming because this world needs more dreamers who don't necessarily lose sight of what is important just because their heart is eternally young. God forbid I should ever grow up.
ReplyDeleteXOXO's,
Marcia
I'm so glad I found you Anita, and that you found me too. sigh.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely Anita. Each one of your posts is a beautiful and a thought provoking performance. I always come away enchanted.
ReplyDeleteKaren
you are so gifted with choosing images to support your lovely words!
ReplyDeletesuch a beautiful post.
Lovely! It was so warm last night, we had dinner on the deck under the waning harvest moon listening to Edith Piaf with our French visitors. I hope you are enjoying your creative energy now that you get to spend less time in school. I need to get over to your shop to see what you've been playing with lately. Have a most fabulous day, dear Anita!
ReplyDeletexoxo, Kirsten
So very well said Anita. Sounds like we have many similarities. I agree with your fathers choice in music...is that you playing? Love the clouds and what a beautiful child!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings on you day dear! Lisa
Dear Anita I love the piana music, seeing you at the harp, the new creations.....the stars and moon, always so mysterious to me.

I see now that it wasn't you playing....just assumed you had made a video and naturally thought WHY NOT you can do everything else!!!
ReplyDeleteoh yes my sweet Anita, I did read your comments/suggestions which I tremendously appreciate. Several times yesterday I would go to your site to get to this little familiar box but my computer would drag and drag and stall too much. Most of the evening was involved in helping my daughter with a Halloween costume and such. Yet, I have broken through the block and have written a NEW POEM!!! I'm fine. Please write too my email: renae@simplesequins.com so I'll have your address. okay? love, R
ReplyDeletehello my beautiful Anita, just dropping by to say hi, and letting you know to believe in yourself… that’s where it all starts on this journey as an artists, don’t doubt.
ReplyDeleteen te souhaitant plein, plein de belles choses...
xx sandra
Hi Anita and I hope that your business picks-up, our economy is still very fragile and weak and quite a lot of businesses out there are either closing or about to close. So hang in there and the crazy in me thinks your going to make it, and I am quite crazy as you know I'm sure! Richard
ReplyDeleteA glorious tale that touches the little girl in all of us.
ReplyDeleteKelley
Awh..so lovely. Music, pictures...video so aptly chosen. That is the artist you are as well as any of your other art works. I love that yellow dress in satin. Thanks for coming over...and for the thoughts about p t conference, hahaha off I go.
ReplyDeleteHello! Anita
ReplyDeleteI figured out the problem on my computer, or I should say, my oldest son figured it out for me and 'clued' me in on some of the icons like the <3 heart/favorites that takes me directly to my blog. You learn something new everyday! Also, the house icon on my computer is for Yahoo, so 'something' changed ITSELF around, maybe Yahoo, and all is well.
Thank you so very much for thinking of me!
hugs,
Teresa
I hope you saw Hugo last year. I love Méliès and his truly magic movies. The stuff today is so wildly advanced yet I love Méliès naive sweetness and invention. He did touch the stars, didn't he. Be well in this new school year... may all your students realize how lucky they are to have you.
ReplyDeleteHi Sweet Friend...Lovely post! I love the way the story went...and loved the way the little girl grew up. :) The mannequin creation is spectacular. Is that somewhat the same level that you are creating now? If so...WOW! I love it! The piano music was splendid! Definitely set the mood for the post! ;) Hugs!
ReplyDeletePS: Loved the mini YOU that Violet created in the post. :) That's so adorable of you. xoxo
ReplyDeleteAnd she shines and beams like the brightest of moons! She didn't fear and now she does what she loves doing the most, doesn't she? You are such a brave soul, Anita. I'm still afraid to jump out of my comfort zone and do what I think I should...but you, are not only creating wonderful words but also wonderful art, that reflects you, the so beautiful you. Glad you are in this blog world, my lovely friend. Thanks for inspiring me with every single one of your posts.
ReplyDeleteBesos.
Oh yes...it is tough out there, Anita, but I believe in you! Tonight as I was rocking Maximus I thought of you and said a prayer, asking the Lord to open those doors of opportunity for you. Good things are a comin'!!!

ReplyDeleteOh how I love the moon. Makes me smile whenever I see it. Love how it makes the sky look.
ReplyDeleteMe again...
ReplyDeleteI fixed the problem on my side bar links, so the Do-it-Youself Dollhouse Room out of frames link is now on my sidebar. It is a visual tutorial from Joann Swanson (no relation to me) of DIY DOLLHOUSE MINIATURES. She has quite a collection of past posts about doll houses and great ideas! OH, and I adore the theatre you had showcased your paper mache wands in!
Have a lovely rest of the day!
I will email you soon!
hugs,
Teresa
Hello Dear,
ReplyDeleteHow are you today? Maximus and I went for a walk today and boy was it WINDY! Windy, but sunny. I thought of you because I know you like stormy days. Right now, I'll take as much sunshine as we can get. :)

good Morning Lovely Lady! May I get you to write to me via an email first? (renae@simplesequins.com)
ReplyDeleteThen I will respond. I ain't got no way to access your address currently. My email within my comp is tangled up or some such non-sense. But meanwhile read my newest poem on my site, at the top bar/page = poems To lyrics, k? I have decided my poems get a special page for those that choose them rather than me 'inflicting' others. hahahaha. please tell me your valued opinion? after you write to me, I'll have your address linked and the sharing of ideas and values will BEGIN!!! Love to you today ~ dear friend.
That beautiful art work of the gal at the harp...that was you wasn't it. WOW, what a beautiful piece of art work.

Anita my dearest
ReplyDeleteI have not yet been to the postoffice but the surprise will leave my house soon on its way to you
I have choosen something flat and small Do not want have it lost on its way ...... So something SIMPLE small and yet GREAT JOY hihi
My birthday is coming up
november 2 ......SCORPION !
Since my 49th birthday I started to have a GIRLFRIENDCELEBRATION
On a sundayafternoon .
I send them an invitation and I have a theme .
All I want for my birthdaycelebration is them to come
I ask them to tell me ( and share with all of us ) about the theme.
Last year the theme was
PEARLS as a symbol of the highlights in our lifes .
Tell about a special pearlmoment and share it with us .
The magic is the wonderful girlfriends are waiting for the invitation ....curious for the theme ...... They always are artists in the result .....
The magic is in my livingroom that afternoon .
We listen to each other with great respect .
Because I have done this for many years now my friends have got to learn each other on a special way for only one afternoon in november each year .
They all mean a lot to me
I do not have a lot of friends
and I do not see them very often
but they all are special in their own unique way .
happy weekend sweet friend
Your posts are always so beautiful, just as the moon and the stars!! You are truly blessed.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend :)
xoxo
Kerri
My dear...here I am. Yes, we need to land on a paper moon and just stay put and enjoy the view!
ReplyDeleteYesterday I heard the song Fly me to the Moon, one of my dads all time favorite!
Here is my 100th try to post...let me know if it shows up!
I love the message in this post! The images are divine as usual! How are you my dearest? I hope you will get to only substitute teach in the Language Dept.(French?). Have you started now? Have a wonderful weekend with your love and as usual I am grateful for your visits and friendship:-). XX
ReplyDeletes'wonderful! your choice of images never fails to enchant me!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the balloon ride, lovely. I posted it for a friend of mine who always inspired me to soar. ;) Did you notice the lyrics toward the end? "If you'll hold my hand we'll chase your dream across the sky." The details may change here and there, but the dream is always alive and well and most of the time we are actually living it out in ways we never expected.
ReplyDeleteI had not noticed the title of this post. So perfect with the words that I received in my quiet time and shared with you yesterday, isn't it? Amazing. Love, literally translates to charity in the King James (1 Corinthians 13)...has pretty much nothing to do with self...everything to do with GIVING.
XOXO,s
Marcia
Anita, thanks so much for following my new blog!! I am so excited! I really don't want to loose you as my blogfriend! You always encourage me to dream and to think big and I love that about you! Maybe because I have that strongly inside my heart, too! We have no snow here yet, but I live in the warmest part of Norway (southeast)! The temperature here is around 10 - 15 celsius degrees. I enjoy this time of the year the most! I love the colored leaves and the clear, fresh air on a sunny day. And of course, the autumn is the greatest background for beautiful photos!!! Have a blessed and wonderful weekend, my friend!!
ReplyDeletelove, Kristin
I just found your blog today. Thank you, I needed to see images like these today to be reminded of what the world can be like.
ReplyDeleteCheers to a happy weekend Anita! Have you planned anything fun yet? Here, in the last days the leaves became colored and vibrant. Will have a walk tomorrow and cook some pumpkin dish! Have a lovely time my dear one!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your art exhibit Anita. I know that it will as divine as you are.
ReplyDeleteKaren
Hello, dear friend! How are you?
ReplyDeleteYour whimsical artwork is lovely. I had to pin away to my "Art" and "Autumn" boards.
When I was a little girl, I used to love to stare at the moon and imagine it was just about anything, or held just about anything. Your post made me remember. :)
I hope you are enjoying October. It has turned very cool here, and I am so happy. I am waiting anxiously to see if the ivy will be rich with color this year.
xo,
Keri
Morning dear one....just had to pop over and wish you a very blessed weekend before we head off to my parents house for a Happy Thanksgiving weekend. xoxoxooxxoxo See you Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteDearest Anita,
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming over this morning. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving Mrs. G and Pumpkin enough to bring them home. I am honored and truly blessed.

This was a beautiful piece, Anita. You are so sweet to say stuff like this. I am blessed.
ReplyDeleteI love you,
Ruben
Lovely haven to stroll through your photos again. I just noticed the photo of you at your harp (didn't realize it was you) til this time. Too bad you don't have mountains, but lakes are awesome. I went to a wedding yesterday that took the whole day, it was lovely, but ya still missed my blogging gals. (you)
ReplyDeleteYou transport me to another world, Anita...so beautifully poetic and as for the exquisite little girl...I have no words...
