Anita, first thank you for choosing Enya today ~ I use to listen devoutly to that magical music. I even put together a lovely free style dressage ( discipline of riding) routine with my horse Scoobie , back in the day ~ it was like riding on air in harmony to this enchanting music. Needless to say it brings back memories.
ReplyDeleteThe images you choose also always touch a place in me that goes deep into my soul. I was once a traveler , a wanderer and the loveliness you choose always takes me traveling back to the remarkable times.
That bedroom I would adore !
You have piqued my interest in the reading you mentioned so I will indeed pursue it , even if I may not have time to sit and read until Fall !

My Scarlet Pink magazine came in the mail yesterday!!!! Your articles are delicious, and I think you are a fabulous writer!!!

'The Waiting' sounds like such a good book, Anita. I will tell my sister and the girls about it, as they are book lovers. Just one more thing we have in common, my friend.....I love this song so much. That pool is amazing - I wish I could take a dip in it right now. And I LOVE that picture with the girl and her camera. The Scarlet Pink magazine sounds wonderful, Anita. I would love to sit down with a copy of that and read on.
ReplyDeleteAnd so the adventure begins......I will be on an adventure this weekend - Jess graduates with her Masters, and I'll tell you all about it when I get home in an e-mail. I know it will be an eventful day.

Thank you, dear friend, for this beautiful post and recommended reads. Despite the busyness these days, I am about to finish another great book "The End of Your Life Book Club" by Will Schwalbe. I was excited to read your articles in Scarlet Pink, and must say, you are one talented writer. You play with words as no other does and I can't wait to see your very own published poetry book. Thank you for always visiting my blog; your thoughtful comments are gifts to my days. Wishing you an adventurous summer!
ReplyDeleteAnita,
ReplyDeleteI will surely look for this book and read it, as you feel that the main character is now a part of your life. I am looking forward to it with anticipation.
love,
~me
Looks like a lovely book. And your photos took me away to a wonderful place. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh Anita, I just finished my final day of work for the school year and couldn't wait to stop by and read this post. First, I appreciate your sharing your losses on my blog. I will be thinking of you on Father's Day and sending thoughts for I know it has deep meaning. Your review on a book has huge impact on me so I will look for this story for my summer reading. As an adopted daughter who searched for her birth family, and found them, in my 30's the story already resonates with me. I'm off to read your magazine articles my talented and lovely friend.
ReplyDeletexx, Heather
Dear Anita,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing a lovely post and will definitely look for this book - saw someone else mention on their blog of this.

ReplyDeleteBonjour Anita,

mp
Thank you Anita! And by the way, congratulations for your superb french!!!
ReplyDeleteI am totally French, but I went to a boarding school in England for a while. Also my ex in laws used to live in England and I spent quite a lot of time there.

Every day with our old girl is such gift for us. She likes to swim in the lake, she loves to eat (like every Lab ;).........but we feel, that she gets sicker every day. She is such al lovely girl and we hope for another wonderful time with her. At the moment she is sleeping in the garden by my husbands side and in the evening when it is not so hot any more, she will take another bath in the lake........everything is so peaceful.......it´s ok.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful sunday, my dear friend...............here it is no cloud in the sky, the birds are singing.....
With love and hugs, Jade & Sheila

ReplyDeleteDearest Anita, thank you for coming today! You sneeze from the pollen? Me too! Not so much anymore though, the worst is over - and i can enjoy the garden and all the flowers around even more! Isn't June so lovely? Hope you do enjoy your school free season to the fullest - poetry all around us, non? Have sweet evening!
ReplyDeleteYou're on your way my friend!! SO glad to hear it... your heart will touch many through your words. Talk about a gift!! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words and sentiment, dear Anita. PS I am in LOVE with that potting shed! Hope you are enjoying your summer.
ReplyDeleteHi my sweet!
ReplyDeleteI know you know how happy I am because all my men are with me! Summer is my favorite time of year and I am blissfully enjoying gardening and gallivanting with the kiddos. Much love to you and thank you for your visits! Bisous.
Everytime I see that Pool Cabana I wish I had it. There is a young lady called ana who looks a little like you.
ReplyDeleteThat is not me but sure could be, when I was on the walker.. yvonne
Ooh how I love Enya's music! I am a big Summer reader. Will have to check out this book. Had a birthday about a week ago and thought about the roads travelled and yet to be travelled. Interesting post.
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom is gorgeous and the headboard is truly stunning. The cabinet that holds the linens is so pretty too.

Good morning Laura! Thank you for coming by to leave a comment. That is not my bedroom, but I wish! Enjoy your day, Anita
DeleteDearest Anita, that's so funny you had to sneeze while reading my comment ;) But a garden in summer is hard to resist and worth a bit of summer flu symptoms. We must enjoy the flowers, as long as they're there - and the green, birdsong, bees, butterflies and sweet and precious pollen! Am sending you some strawberries - i buy them everyday now and eat them with everything! xox
ReplyDeleteOh Anita! I have been so low on energy this time. I have loved the turquoise water in this post so much. I love scenes with water because I so respect, nearly fear water that I love to see it's beauty at a distance. I have to hit my bed soon. I get a ride with a friend that lives near me and works near the Huntsman. Every dime counts. So I will be in chemo 4 tomorrow if my count is in the right number. I am so torn, I would love another week to get stronger first but then I would just be placing it all back a week. ooooh hard, but I will do what my doctor requires. This 3 has been HORRIBLE; yeast infection, panic attack, weird meds to help that didn't help and all trying to still be a vital active blogger. ohhhh, life and cancer don't jive. Cancer is a huge inconvenience!!! and frankly CANCER SUCKS! ♥, Renae (now bed)
ReplyDeleteDear Anita, thank you so much for the sweet words left on my blog. Your perfect day sounds absolutely wonderful to me. I would love to visit one day, a river, parks, antique stores and a BOOK shop what’s not to love. Have a super weekend. Love & hugs Barbara.
ReplyDeleteMy dear friend, I am happy to see your comment this evening. Honestly, your words are so comforting and I always feel encouraged knowing if no one else is reading my post, Anita is there for me. Thank you! It has been a busy month here - I have just had my final exam for this semester's Creative Photography program. I did well :) After some time, I will be a certified Creative Photographer... Isn't summer enchanting! I love the slowness of it despite the fact that life is still running. Now, I hope, I will have more time to read. Thank you again for being my blogging friend. Enjoy the summertime.
ReplyDeleteBonjour ma belle Anita
ReplyDeleteIl y aura toujours pour toi sur mon blog, du soleil, de la lavande et des papillons ...
Je t'embrasse
