And

I simply can't resist musing

about

because

you know

you've reached a pinnacle

from which you might utter:

Speaking more than one language

translates into

endless opportunities for inspiration

and most of all

more connections

around the world.

But even if you never think

in

two languages at the same time

because you can still join me here

for an extended tour

beyond France

for

You will prepare a blog post

on July 18 that will run to July 25

about your

dream European destination

and what you find

simply irresistible

about the

fashion

lifestyle

culinary traditions and innovations

or

the people.

It's your choice.

Then during the week of July 18-25

you can come here

to link to all the other travelers' blogs

and

leave them a kind word.

Just leave me a comment on this post

to indicate that you'll participate.

Then take this banner

and put it on your blog

to let everyone know you've joined

and I'll add your link

to the list of those preparing

to explore the world

in the most creative ways.

Oh, lovely eye candy as usual!

I am tempted to participate, but we leave for Kauai on July 19 and don't return until July 27. I can write a post in advance, but I don't know if I will have the opportunity to visit others. I think we will have internet access, but I am not positive since we are staying in a different house this year.

I know just what I would write about. I am wistfully planning a month in Italy for our 45th wedding anniversary which won't be until April of 2016, but it will take planning, saving and convincing Steve. I want to rent a house large enough that our children can come to visit, in a spot where Steve can paint and take cooking classes and I can do whatever I feel like.

Dear Anita,

Lovely to see a new post from you and yes, I would love to be able to join you at your party - thank you for organizing this.
It is so interesting when we can speak some words in French along with our English. I continue to try to learn by listening to my Michel Thomas lessons when I go out walking.
Happy weekend and thanks for the kind words you always leave pour moi.

Anita,
As always your blog photos captivate my thoughts and dreams. Since this year's linky party is "beyond France," does that mean we should write about someplace else or are posts about France included in your soirèe? If France is included, then please include me.

Much love to you and Ruben, it was great speaking to him the other day. It has been a bit of a crazy start to the summer for us, but things are settling down now. I look forward to your party. ;)

The all white rustic corridor with little white bench and earthen vessel is the beauty that captivates me. Sigh. I will be there but not to participate, just to visit the beauty. I am already participating in a blog party at that same time. Who knows...I may join yours too at the last minute if I have time to put a post together. My traveling destination will be The English Seaside. Look forward to your enchanting linky party whether I participate or not. xxo

Anita, this sounds like a wonderful adventure for July. Count me in. It will give me a focus which just might help motivate my creative energy which has been at an all time low of late.
Your beautiful post here is inspiring!

Dearest Anita, I love everything about this post all the pictures are so beautiful. The hand holding the grapes just shouts FRANCE. How can such a simple image be so captivating? The music and words are (as always) perfect. I loved your last blog party and know I’m going to have fun reading all the post and visiting the participants, but I don’t feel able to join in. My heart tells me I should be there, but my head tells me I will never have the time and will end up letting you down. Letting you down is not something I would ever want to do, so I will participate from the sidelines and enjoy every second of it. Have a wonderful day dear friend! xxxx Enjoy your party! xxx

Hello Anita:

The images which you have chosen for this post are overwhelmingly lovely and, at the same time, so very tempting that we long once more to be exploring the unknown villages of France, sipping our morning coffee at Florian's in Venice, riding that fabulous pink scooter, strolling alongside some Dutch canal or simply delighting in all that the world has to offer.

And it is such a lovely idea to link travellers together in July; alas, we shall 'abroad' ourselves and unable to take part.

Hi Anita,

Bonjour Rosa!

Anita

Bonjour mon amie! Well, I thought of you as I was prancing around your home town L.A. I am extremely homesick now! My friend put it right, you can take the girl out of Cali, but you'll never take the Cali out of the girl! So sad, I would have been in Europe this past week and have actual photos of Italy and France for this blog hop to share, but God had different plans! L.A. is no Europe but Thousand Oaks I'll take in a heartbeat! Enjoy your blog hop. If I can think of anything worthy to post, I may join. XOXO

Anita

I'm not sure if I will be able to join in with a post as much as I would love to, we are going away with friends for a long overdue holiday of carefree time and relaxation. It's been a difficult emotional journey in processing loss and getting away is much needed. Then on the 25th we have our parents memorial service but Anita I will email you and explain more in depth.

Oh Anita, magic sharing of what is missing so much!
Thank you for this increadible inspiration I really NEEDED so much today! Why do we miss it? Why do so less people add style to their everyday lifes, if they miss and love it, need it so much? Because they do not dare to be individuals and do, what ONE does, the crowd?
I will never understand, walking through modern city streets of uniformity - I think of Orwell... and try to DO something against it with all of my Heart.

fleurissante
dans un monde
de clarté rayonnante

Sous l'arbre du ciel
je te voyais
O, quelle beauté
dans la silence
de tes yeux
et je demandais :
Où vas-tu...

I am just browsing through all these lovely pictures - the pink motor bike, the girl with the long hair on the balcony, and aahh the old man reading his paper. I'll tell you something, when me and husband were first dating, he used to ride over on his mo-ped (that's what it was called back then), and he would drive it home late at night, and that was his transportation for awhile. But wasn't I worth it? hehehe.

Good morning dear friend, I’ve just woken up and found your lovely, warm comment. I won’t be blogging for a while, but I will be visiting and sharing in with all the fun. I’m really sorry I can’t participate, but it will give me more time to visit and comment on the other blogs. I feel like I could sleep for a week, but I hope a few 'play days' will revitalise me. Enjoy your party, I know I will! Love Barbara xx

"what i hope to do at least once"...then you will love. as i have learned techniques and finding my own soul in my work i was remembering back when i shared with a young friend "i want to do a giant collage, with my own painting, adding quotes, poetry and other peoples photos (or own)" hEIDI said, "you will" with such assuredness... the first was for my dad, and when he passed last august, my sister Candy took the piece and hung it in her home, telling me it was there and for the taking any day. well, when i visited she and family this june, i saw and cried, knowing, it's right where it should stay. it is a piece mainly with photos of me and dad and a few others in the mix. and it tells such a story of the LOVE that runs through our entire family (my sister saw and felt this) doesn't get any better in life than this.
back to you: as you go along (all of us) things start coming together, so many surprises and magic, unexpected creations...YOU WILL!!! in fact--i know they have already...there will just be more to come...you and i both know....XOXO

Yippee!! I'm reading as I wait for Zion to finish his piano lessons and had to restrain myself from screaming with glee about this post!!! You know I'm in! When I get home and get on the computer later tonight, I will grab your banner and place it on the blog. So, we are going beyond France for this one, meaning it does not have to be about France? So excited!! Happy 4th to you too! xx

Anita, I'm so excited, to join in!! Your 'Europe: Simply Irresistible Link Party' sounds like a wonderful adventure! Of course, I'm a bit nervous, as this will be a very BIG step for my new, little blog. My heart tells me that I MUST do it ~ and when my heart speaks, I must listen! So, I have chosen a very special European destination. It felt like we were living in a fairy tale village during our weeklong stay in this special place! Perhaps I will email you with a question or two.. I'm so looking forward to this adventure!

Have a fun day and celebration. Not doing much here, just having a barbecue and maybe going up on the hill to watch the fireworks with husband. Do you have any plans?

love,

Bonjour Irma!

Hmm, I have to think of my dream destination. There are so many places I want to visit it's hard to pick one. I would lie to join your party.

Your images of France are dreamlike. How can one country have all the beauty? Just an amazing destination.

What a fun and creative idea! I am with you, a French lover since my first year of language classes in 7th grade! My kids study it now and it's so much fun to converse with them, in French, as they do their homework. It's amazing what comes back to you after so many (many!) years! I see your comments on Carol's Art and Sand blog and today I decided to click on over to your blog. I am so glad that I did. I could not stop scrolling...just lovely! I hope it's been a lovely summer, so far!

Hi Anita,
Thanks for stopping by yesterday. I hope your weather starts cooperating and getting nicer. It seems strange to lose power in the summer...maybe that's not strange for the Midwest?

We are having warm weather...it's been beautiful...temps in the 90's forecasted for the long range forecast. Wow!

I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!

Love ya sis,
Heidi

Europe, but I am tied up with a week of sitting and helping with an art show for a great Artist and friends memorial, he passed away last year and we are doing a show for his art scholarship fund. I will try to peek in though. Big hug and keep blogging, You have the best blog on internet. yvonne
