ReplyDeleteDarling Anita,
ReplyDeleteHave you ever considered turning all of your blog posts with their accompanying music into a book and having it published?
I think it would be an amazing seller, incredibly popular as a gift book and a coffee table book.
Your photographs are always so exquisite and beautiful by themselves and as a grouping, the words and accompanying chosen music so evocative, so gently-and-powerfully all at once, soul stirring and uplifting.
I truly think you have the goose with the golden eggs here.
((hugs))
I love that version of silent night by Enya,Anita you always pick the best music, and that lamb with the christmas has is just to cute for words, love from us both Rachel and Speedy

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, my friend. I needed this peaceful post so much right now. It was a hectic day of shopping and crowds, and this warmed my heart. Anita, did I ever tell you this is MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS SONG OF ALL? It moves me in a way that no song does. In fact, I have tears in my eyes right now. And who better to share it with me than my dear special friend. I love all the splashes of RED on here, and I can see your Christmas tree in the distance. That is such a pretty picture. And that last picture hehehe.
ReplyDeleteI am wishing you peaceful days until Christmas, and then we will celebrate together the most peaceful day of all. You are truly a blessing in my life.

Such a lovely Christmas post Anita! I do enjoy the calm and peacefulness that comes from your pictures - elegant simplicity! This is the last week before our trip to Austria and of course there is much still to be done. I do enjoy the seasons exitement, hustle and buzzle sometimes, but feel i need more quiet time right now too. I bet you too are looking forward to some free days to renew and recover. Here's some fairy dust to brighten your start into a fabulous week! xox

ReplyDeleteMy dear, sweet Anita, how calming and beautiful your post is. I find myself closing my eyes as I listen to your soothing music (Enya is a favorite of mine) and thinking of that silent, precious night so many years ago when our Savior was born. Oh, the beauty and joy of Christmas. . .

SI! Anita
Lovely. That all may dare... Merry, Merry Christmas to you! xx Rié | Portobello Design Blog
ReplyDeleteDear Anita,
ReplyDeleteOnce again I opened a Christmas present to myself by reading your beautiful post with its seasonal images and words. While I love all the images, my favorites are the snowy tree at the top of your post and the couple hoisting a Christmas tree through a snowy woods. I think I see a theme in what I like. I, too, want to see your barely adorned tree this year. How do you have the time to read all our blogs, leave us poetical comments, create your own stunning posts, and teach? However you do it, I am thankful for you.
Merry Christmas et Joyeux Noël,
Judith
What a beautiful post Anita, Is that photograph of the Christmas tree yours? It looks as lovely as I imagine your home to look at Christmas. You set the perfect mood with your lovely eye candy and words as always.
ReplyDeleteKaren

ReplyDeleteDear Anita, So beautiful and magical and that lamb is so cute! I'm sure you shalll, enjoy more magical moments over the next week! We had Father Christmas who arrived on a sleigh in our road tonight. The reindeer must have been busy as it was pulled by a car, not quite the same. It did make us smile and feel very festive and hopefully lots of money were raised for the rotary club. Sarah x

I’m way behind on my blog reading (and my posts!) after a long weekend away and all the Christmas preparations! I absolutely loved this post and your varied festive photos, each one more beautiful than the last. I do have a couple of favourites though. The Christmas tree being carried through the snow and the beautifully decorated fireplace. I like to display pine cones in the winter too, especially giant ones which we collected in a forest in France several years ago! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteOh, I dare believe, Anita!! I love this gorgeous post! Every post is like a mini movie. So inspirational. Love, Deb xo
ReplyDeleteThese photos just put someone in the spirit of Christmas. I love each and everyone. I am your newest follower.
ReplyDeleteThe cottage in the snow takes me back to our years of celebrating Christmas at our family cottage at Lake Tahoe. I needed that reminder today. Each image, so thoughtfully curated, brings the spirit of Christmas alive, dear Anita. It's fun to see that we share an affection for that lovely mantle image with the garland and fresh limes. Lovely, lovely...my darling friend...you definitely bring the Christmas cheer!

Oooo, you decorated your house one year in Purple? I would have loved to seen it. It's such a magical color. I really look forward to seeing some of your home décor at the beginning of the year. I know how busy you are right now, but things will quiet down as soon as you have time off from school. Then, you can open your cards, gaze at your tree, eat Christmas goodies, and take in all the beauty of the holiday.
ReplyDeletelove you, sister of mine.

This has been another roller-coaster year for my family, but look at me: Still standing as the new year approaches. I have stopped by your blog now and again, when I was in need of peace and beauty. This post did not disappoint. How perfect to celebrate Christmas. I would like to wish you un très Joyeux Noël. HELLO ANITA!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I can't believe that it's only 4 more days until Christmas!! Beautiful post. I LOVE the quote at the end: "Love came to wear a garment of humanity so that one day we could wear robes of glory." Are those your words? That totally sums up Christmas and why we celebrate it.
I hope you are enjoying your break from school. Are you getting lots of snow. Oh, how I wish it would snow here this Christmas, but it's not going to happen.
Have a wonderful week!
xo
Heidi
A beautiful post Anita, I'm so delighted I visited tonight.

ReplyDeleteI hope you're enjoying your time off, pausing to bask in the splendor.
Emailing you, friend.

Hello my dear!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely seeing your comments this morning. Those are amazing words what you wrote! Definitely publishable! I could see in cards...and it could even be lyrics to a song. Do you write music? I know you play the harp, so you probably do...AMAZING, really!!!! Would you mind if I share that on fb? I would give you credit...if not, no worries... :)
So glad you just started your vacation. For some reason I was thinking you were already enjoying it, but what a great thing to get 2 weeks off. I bet you are giddy and probably have lots of projects up your sleeve. Hopefully you'll find time for rest though as well.
I don't plan on quitting blogging...I have thought of it...but I still enjoy it. I think it's a matter of just staying on top of it more...especially that nowadays my blog is more about the boys...so I just need to post more often...just quick little posts, otherwise I feel like I'm trying to play catch up...with updates and trying to figure out which pictures to post. Does that make sense? I do wish that blogger had a little bit easier interface like fb and instagram to make it quicker when you're on the go, but I guess that's not really what it was designed for...I'm really hoping to do it more in the new year...I will ALWAYS stay in touch with you regardless...thanks for your understanding and my absence. You are SOOOOO dear to my heart. :)
Love ya sis!!!
Heidi
What a beautiful pictures dear :D

ReplyDeleteVery eloquent, and profound. May you too have the joy of the Lord tonight and tomorrow. We are so undeserving, but God is Love. It just began to rain! Oh! We have had such lovely rain this Autumn and Winter.
And I would love to live inside everyone of those beautiful photos you posted, even the ones with the snow! My sister, Rebecca and family (who live there close to you) are coming to California for a week! Yay!
Be blessed and stay warm and cozy.
love and hugs,
Teresa
