but
my soul smiles brighter
than it did

my youth.

With my 61st birthday coming
and the celebration
of
the resurrection of my faith
I am glad.
Are you glad for who you are becoming
and what you hope in?
and the celebration
of
the resurrection of my faith
I am glad.
Are you glad for who you are becoming
and what you hope in?
Such a beautiful perspective. Happy Birthday!

Oh Anita,
ReplyDeleteThis brought tears to my eyes and a trembling of joy soared through my being.
Glad! Glad! Glad! Yes! My body does match up with what is going on in my mind and heart. I nearly feel younger-so there is a bit of disconnect...hehehe. But I am soaring with God's love, guidance and patience with me.
Happy Birthday to you my friend. You inspire me every single day of my life!
With love,
Jemma
I was glad when Steve and I hit 70 not long ago - it gave a numerical excuse for all the wrinkles in my face.
ReplyDeleteI stopped coloring my hair and love the streaks of white - Steve still has no gray.
I love the wisdom that comes with my age and the freedom to not always be doing, but to simply sit in the garden and smile at the flowers.
Happy Easter

Beautiful photography. Happy Birthday and Congratulations on the resurrection of faith. :) Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't I see this ...I'm late..:) But Always with you by heart XXX
ReplyDeleteHello! I'm happy with a glad heart for you.
ReplyDeleteAnita, I had my 65th birthday not long ago, my teeth are grey... My hair is still dishwater blond (and not gray) my hands look old and my skin is lined... oh well. Like you, my faith has been renewed and rejuvenated in the last few years...it's so good.
ReplyDeleteI'm slow to chime in my wishes for you to have a lovely birthday. I'm in a transition phase that has been painful, but, I'm hunkering down and trusting God in the change. It's a simpler life, in a way, and I can see some benefits.
ReplyDeleteNo matter where or how God plants you, you still have the ability to transport your followers to a secret place of beauty and peace. Thanks for not giving up or giving in.
I love this, Anita. Your perspective is spot on, and something I need to drink in on a regular basis. As I'm approaching my 69th birthday and see my hair beginning to thin and my body weakening, I find myself looking upward more and more to my heavenly home. I feel a stranger here in many ways. Yet, the Lord is not done with me here yet. There's more to be done in His name. It's so encouraging to read your words and see your devotion to the Lord. God bless you, my dear, sweet friend. And happy belated birthday. Hugs, Nancy
ReplyDeleteMe again! I forgot to mention how much I love that song. I used to listen to over and over when it first came out years ago. It has an even deeper meaning for me now and I will once more put it on my playlist. Hugs.
