Bonne Fête Tout le Monde!

I dedicate the first song to all of you.

We are having a restful, cozy and magical Thanksgiving chez nous this year in our corner of the world. I will be baking bread and soon our kitchen will be filled with the wonderful aroma of my favorite of French breads: brioche.

As I meander back to the cottage from the enchanted forest picking wild mushrooms for our mushroom and roasted chestnut soup

I begin to set my table for the celebration of Action de Grâce....

Ruben and I will be alone this year, but we shall raise our glasses in Thanksgiving for our wonderful families and friends

for whom I am so grateful. I thank God for each and everyone of you!

Bonne Fête mes amies and I will be back this weekend to start the Christmas holiday season!

Oh! And a quick pink update...many thanks to everyone who gave me some suggestions for my dressing table; even though the photo is not the best

I trust that you can imagine how a white wash and some gold embellishment made the difference! Dreams can really come true when you have the help of dear friends!

A bientôt, Anita

Dearest Anita, Enjoy your Thanksgiving with a celebration for two, something we should all experience. Some years multitudes and others solitude. Thanks for your kind comments and visiting. I have to say I enjoy our new relationship.

Dearest Anita!

We will miss you at our Thanksgiving table, but our hearts and thoughts will be with you both. Mr. B made me laugh today with his post! I just might become a vegetarian now. I love the finish you chose for your vanity. It looks wonderful and the highlighting with the gold is très jolie!

Much Love,
Nancy

How cozy and wonderful as the two of you sit and dine and ponder the love that surrounds you. Through your home, around the corner, down the street and back again, love is radiated from your lives. Two old souls who tend to attract old souls. Be blessed. Thanking God and his amazing grace we found each other.

Bonjour! Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for stopping by and leaving your sweet comments. I've been living in Paris for three years now and am in the process of shipping some of my personal things over to France. I am ashamed to admit it - my francais leaves much to be desired but I am working on it! I believe you teach French. My French honey speaks English wonderfully - perhaps that is the problem...haha! I WILL get better!

Chère Anita,
When I came back here on Monday with my new bear, my daughter and her friend where having tea and we all agreed that this bear was a boy, a Max or a Boris, we are not sure yet.
After that I discovered that Marja had put a small gift in my bag: she gave me the bear she made, though she wanted me to keep that silent (I think I can write it here, this secret will be safe with you). I was so overwhelmed that I still have to think how to name the couple. I am thinking of Boris and Rose. Rose after Marja's trademark: Rosabear. Did you visit her blog already as she makes such cute bears and rabbits. Have a great day Anita. It's so good to feel your warmth and sympathy up here while it is raining outside!

Your little dressing table came out perfectly....I LOVE it...

And the photos are sooo lovely. I've never had roasted chestnut soup.... :-) One of these days I'll have to give it a try. And, I LOVE Brioche.....I make bread, but it's just the standard 'ol yeast bread.....

Hope your Thanksgiving was perfect.
