Provincia

Anything beautiful

and with a far-reaching past

has had to soar upwards

from hurling depths towards

DOUBT.

The name 

comes from the Latin words

PRO - on behalf of

and

VINCERE - to triumph and take control over -

hence the word

PROVINCIA.

She was once a bird in a cage

a servant

under strict Roman rule.

But Provence 

is all the more beautiful today because of her

brief captivity in the annals of TIME

for she finally paved her way through history

towards HER OWN horizon 

in order to reach the shores of peace.

But aren't we all at one point or another


challenged as such 

by the 

GIANTS and VICTORS 

to whom we could 

easily yield 

our Fears? 

I took a chance early this week and stepped out of my 

comfort zone

and propelled my way into the presence of 

experienced writers.

We left walking on the firm and lonely

stone-cold path of reality

coming up with only one conclusion.


Keep writing 

and learn 

to fly. 


I know I will reflect back on this time of my 

life and say

so that she could have the SKILLS NECESSARY to 

soar towards her goal

and claim 

PROVENCIA.

Teaching is like THE DANCE 

for it requires intense training from the masters

under whose scrutinizing observations

precision of the science

is demanded and expected

in order to give birth to the wonder of the art.

Flexibility in all circumstances

prepares you to be ready and fit

to withstand the pain of having to eventually say

Au Revoir Les Enfants

To do it effectively, the dance leaves one spent

Mais ça vaut la peine 

YES, it's worth it all

because the reward of seeing your students take flight 

in the colors of their uniqueness

is richer 

and sweeter

and more beautiful

than the glory of the dance itself.

Another school year awaits in the wings

but before our little charges go back to school in

September

this summer

relax with a friend

with the one you love

or toute seule

and rejoice in a job well-done.

But for now

DREAM WITH YOUR EYES OPEN

LES YEUX OUVERTS

and around every corner

see the beauty of your possibilities.

It was a SplEndID and UNforgettable ToUr

mes amies

around the city of twinkling poetry

and bubbling excitement.

The time has come however, for me to turn out the

lights

take Balzac 

and my bags

leave the keys to my Parisian salon with the concièrge

and head on 

DOWN SOUTH

where ANYTIME IS A GOOD TIME to be in

PROVENCE.

Her fruits are cleansing to the palate

 which both humbly 

and lavishly garnish and set the table 

 
for your taste buds to kiss new sensations.

Your memory will be shaped forever by 

her parfum du Sud

and brick by brick

you will fall in love with the simplicity

of the riches of her bounty 

 
and vistas.

So make your wish and fly away

take a friend

and makes new ones

and in all things don't forget to say:
