When Linda from the Blog

asked me to participate in

The Bloggers' Writing Process Tour

I thought it would be a good time

to share more about

the writer

behind the scenes.

via

Each blogger selected

answers four questions

about her writing process

then chooses two to three others

to do likewise and continue

the tour.

The questions are as follows:

What am I working on?

via

How does my work differ

from others of its genre?

Why do I write what I do?

How does my

writing process work?

And now to the following bloggers:

Martina ~ MVS Art Impressions

Judith ~ Botanic Bleu

via

What makes you happy

patrick demarchelier via

and moves you

to share your

passion with the world?

Anita,
This is similar to what I just experienced recently when I was asked to participate in the blogging tour. Poetry and Photography are similar.......hmmm, I never thought about that, but it makes a lot of sense. They are both so creative and lets us use our imagination to the fullest. One of the reasons why I love Photography is that we don't even have to use words, the picture says it all. I LOVE LOVE that picture of the camera, and it really got to me because I have a Canon too. Oh, I enjoyed reading all about your writing process, Anita, and I didn't realize that music was a big part of that. I adore music too, my friend.

Anita, I just wanted to tell you that you are one of the most inspirational friends I have, and I appreciate everything and ALL OF WHO YOU ARE!

love,
~Sheri

now I'm off to see if you have any new photos on your board. :~)

Anita,
Wonderful answers and a greater understanding into your creative process. Some similar to mine, some different. You asked what makes your blog reader happy and moves us to share with the world? Simple I feel energized after my creative efforts and that pleases me. I'm moved to share my art be it poetry, storytelling, drawing, painting, cooking or designing for clients for the reason that talent needs to be shared with others and in the process of sharing inspiration blooms.
Anita I love the photos you've chosen to post with your answers.
XOXO,
Vera

Both poetry and photography "slow you down and ask, 'What do you really want to say?'" That is lovely. And so true. Blogging is the same. I've never been so present in my life as I have during the past few years as a blogger/photographer. It's such a rich experience. Thanks for this wise post, Anita!

I love learning what inspires people to create. Thank you for sharing, Anita. Your blog posts are always captivating, the photographs and music enhance the written word. I don't think I have ever come across another blog quite like yours...your originality is wonderful and what makes me so excited to click on over whenever a new post pops up in my feed. My writing process varies. I guess it depends on whether it's a craft post or not. The DIY features can be dry, instructional, although I try to infuse a bit of humor. My "Words" pieces are much more fun to write ~ I hope to provoke laughter or deep thought. Nothing makes me happier than to hear that my words touched someone! PS- Love the Vera dress!

Dear Anita, your posts are always inspiring and incredibly beautiful but this one took my breath away. I don’t know how you do it, but I’m glad you do. When I visit you, I want to write poetry and paint pictures – I don’t have a talent for either, but your words inspire me to try. Thank you for being as wonderful as you are. Barbara xxx

Good morning Anita - and thank you for sharing all these things about you! I think you're very right here - blogging is a lot like gardening - and you did beautiful work in both areas! Hurrah!! I have returned from holiday although, to be honest, I am not quite home yet. How wonderful it is to touch base with you, Anita! The writer, the photographer, and the artist in you all make my heart sing. I am delighted to read that you have been using your summer wisely :-) Expanding and nurturing your artist's soul. How wonderful that must be. I'm left wondering how you feel after those weeks. Encouraged, determined...

Warmest wishes,

Hello Anita,

These glimpses into the blogging process and the blogger mind are incredibly fascinating. This all helps one to know the writer that bit more and to build a closer connection. For us, that is what makes blogging so satisfying and we suspect that this is the same for you too.

It is a most interesting thought to compare photographic composition and poetry. In both it is often what is left out rather than what is there which makes all the difference. To pare down and to simply rings through all your posts and that is what makes them so special. To get to the very essence is so inspiring.

My groovy grief, that is an awesome post. So you and yet so more than you, you know? Thanks!

Yes, chemo is gradually leaving. At times I still feel that I am under it's clutches but the feeling fads fast and I am okay. chemo is strange yet so important. You want to cuss it to death. Some days you feel like you are dying of all the pain. Other days you are just so emotional spent for some stupid reason that you can't put your finger on but you sob anyway.

I pray dear friend that it never touches you. I pray you stay health and strong. I pray we stay friends forever. ♥

hi sweet Anita! This is a grand post because it says so much about you and why. I just leave my followers in the dark. LOL NO I think any one's blog is a grand reflection of each person that owns that blog. Things are getting better around here again. I was doing great last week; thinking chemo 6 was gone. But, nope I jumped the gun and had a horrid battle over the weekend, when I had originally planned to attend church on Sunday and then host a Bang Up BBQ that evening. I had to cancel everything. But chemo said - nope - not yet! I was a mess (imagine PMS x 100) and I am not kidding. I should have known it would rack up the full 21 days it is entitled to, anyway. So it feels great TODAY to be out in blogland and hoping all over the place again Five more full days til Sep 8. However today I did get measured for my radiation. They made small tattoos on me so they locate where to send the lasers into me.

Just had to tell you thank you for you comments about the pink gingham dress. Your pearl choker gave me an idea ~ ~ ~ ♥

Happy MONDAY -no chemo- DAY to you, too! It is as if it was never ever there. It just goes away. I love the energy I have today and HM keeps asking me if I am alright, because I haven't stopped once I woke today. I felt it as soon as I woke up "no chemo". YES!!!

I shopped at Savers and got some great things; heels, clutch, two black jumper type dresses and a salmon super loose fitting top and some baby shoes for Baby LML all for $20 of their free money. RIGHT ON!!!! (do people still use the phrase "right on" still, cuz I sure feel it today?)

I love what you wrote about winning the race and being the champ. I AM THE CHAMPION OF CHEMO. I AM A CHEMO SURVIVOR!!! YES I AM. 5 1/2 MONTHS OF CHEMO, YES I AM.

You are so sweet to me! I am so glad we are friends. You have been by my side each day of everything once I opened up to my dear ones. Thank you my sweet Anita, thank you! ♥, Renae

Dearest Anita, thanks for your lovely comment on my painting! See, somehow i have the "flow" - but it's not so easy to find and one cannot force it. Your sunsets sound wonderful and the early morning energy is indeed special. I wish i could get up earlier than i do - mostly around 6.30, but i seem to need a lot of sleep ;) I haven't forgotten about your challenge here and will be posting about my blog writing experience too soon! Have been working on your article quite a bit and it already looks GREAT! Wait till you see it ;) xox

Hello darling friend, I will be your 104th comment on this post! Wow! There may just be something to be said about posting once per month. Love it! Just wanted to say 'hello' and answer your question about my mom's wedding video (she's 83 by the way;). It was professionally done by a local photographer, Jensen. There was credit on the video but I went back in and added a link to it. Thanks for asking. It was very special. Loved seeing this glorious post again by the way.

Hi Anita,

I have missed you too! So fun seeing your comment this morning. How are you? How's school going? I imagine you're back into the full swing of things. And I bet you're staying busy with writing and all of your other endeavors. Scarlet Pink coming out soon again?

Well my dear sister, I hope your week is lovely!

Anita,
I love your visits and they mean so much to me, as I know how busy you are with school, your poetry, and blogging. How is the school year going so far? Jess loves her second grade class, and has a bright group of kids this year. It's starting to feel like Fall around here. It's still warm during the day, but the mornings and evenings are nice and cool.

Have a beautiful rest of the week, and I always think of my sweet sister.

love,
~Sheri

How are you Anita,
You have asked about my progress and my home health care torture( I mean rehab) is going very well. I am pushing myself of course so that when I see my surgeon he will be happy with me and release me to drive!

I wanted to copy the dancers in your header, however it copied the entire thing; do you happen to have the image of the ballerinas only? ( I keep a file for ballet)

Wow...and I say that in awe, Anita.
The process you have just described sounds incredibly detailed and exacting. This is why your posts are so inspiring and thought out, because they truly ARE. This is why I return to your blog, again, and again, because I can always count on being touched with profound wanderlust, and moved with passion about life itself. I think, in today's world, people don't have the patience anymore to learn a new art technique, or like you, to pursue a goal in painstakingly, writing poems. The best things in life require passion and experience. Sometimes, it is the lack of patience that keeps me from acquiring the experience. I get too hasty to learn a new thing and get side-tracked, while I should be taking the time to learn something new which will enrich my life. I fear this is a 'learned' habit, to get something done quickly, and move just as fast to the next project, missing the enjoyment of it all. It's like cramming for a school test the night before, filling the brain with the details but not really learning much. Our materialistic society has ruined our need to smell the roses along the way.
