We All Have At Least One

Please turn up the music.

Have you ever been faced by a looming obstacle that was impossible to move or too high to climb

or a river much to wide to reach your destination?

Chances are you have, and you felt totally

and helplessly

alone.

Or maybe you or someone close to you has had a brush with eternity, but it just wasn't your time yet to say good-bye

and you walked away unharmed, only to see the world in a more vivid light

in all its splendor

majesty

and promise.

And like the song suggests,

No matter how far you are, I'm near
It makes no difference who you are
I'm your angel
...

I bet there WAS someone there all along, right by your side:

your angel. Perhaps it was a friend, a family member, a stranger, an animal companion. Somebody is watching over you

who is willing to lend a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, and a heart to rejoice. Penny from Angels Door has captured the art of angels in the two preceding paintings titled "Callia" and "The Dreamer." With a soft stroke of gentleness in the eyes and a celestial suggestion of angels' wings, Penny's work unifies the sacred with the familiar

and the inexpressible with the harmonious and measured

that reminds me that I need not look beyond the eyes of another kind human being for a touch of heaven.

Thank you dear, sweet Penny.

Bonjour Anita! I totally agree with LuLu Kellogg. Especially: 'I need not look beyond the eyes of another kind human being for a touch of heaven', is a sentence that touches my heart, as, in my opinion, we have to look for heaven on earth already. Magnificent post Anita! I hope you and your family have a lovely weekend, bisous et à bientôt, LiLi

Dear Anita,
I just came upstairs with my coffee and couldn't wait to read your post! I am so moved by it, I honestly have tears. How true to need not look beyond the eyes of another. I really felt shivers when you refered to pet. Our Sammi was born with angel wings and has taken care of us all the years she has been with us.
Truly a beautiful and very moving post and Penny's work is just wonderful.
Thank you for adding something very special to my day!
Wishing you a beautiful weekend.

A wonderful post with beautiful images. God has put people and angels in my pathway many times to protect, comfort, encourage, and give me peace. I am sure God has 'planned' so many of the things and people I have taken for granted in my live.

I believe everyone has an angel above, mine sits beside me with every brush stroke I make and every step I take.
There are also, I believe, angels that walk among us every day... You know, the dear friends we meet along the way, through our journey in life..
Your beautiful words have touched my heart and brought tears.... I am honored to have my angels be a part of such a beautiful post...
You are one of those angels that walks the earth!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart... Love and Blessings dear friend. Penny

Dearest Anita,
One really never knows what someone has been through do they? Thank God that He send his angels around us. Angels of protection, warriors and peace givers. Teachers and comfort we find in angels, on earth and in heaven.
Penny is gifted and a beautiful soul for sure and you my dear, live in my heart. I do believe that is where the best angels live...in our heart.

My dear Anita,

This is wonderful post, beautifully written with a theme that is never out of style. I for one am glad for all God's angels in my life, especially in the form of family, friends, and people we don't even know who engage daily in random acts of kindness. Where would we be without them?

Love,
Ruben

I believe there are angels among us, and I know I always have one with me. I miscarried between my boys and I believe my baby is my angel ♥
I am doing very well this weekend, thank you for asking. Yesterday was my daughter's Alice in Wonderland birthday party. It was lovely. The movie was wonderful!
Unfortunately, no macarons for me this weekend but the cupcakes were divine ;)
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend! I'm cleaning, running errands and doing laundry. My children are on spring break this week and we have many fun events planned.

Anita,

Thanks for your concern. I'm still sick, and have SO much to do this next week-Volunteering and procuring prizes for our Chamber of Commerce for our Annual Easter Celebration.

Sounds trivial, but it isn't when you look at all those beautiful children who show up with their
"bonnets" on.....I need to have something to give them all. And the economy what it is,,,,,makes it more challenging. The wonderful aspect of this,,,and I had a touch of it last year? Is that it's the LITTLE businesses that GIVE SO much,,from the heart.

The corporations, ahem Banks, do little if nothing. Okay,,,I have to Give Starbucks credit. They generously donate. Kudos!

Sorry,,this is an event near and dear to my heart, and it just goes to show you that it IS small business that runs the world,,,AND, God bless, supports it!

Your comment came in before my post tonight.......I'm hanging in there, but NEED to get healthy, this is the first year in ages I haven't had a FLU shot,,,and so not sure if that is what this is, but NOT fun! And, I will get my shot again next year!

Take care, and thanks for your concern, and I'm glad that you think of me when you look at your little crown!

Hugs and well wishes!

Hello Ms. Anita,

I do believe that I have celestial guardians watching me always. Thank you for the gentle and beautiful reminder of that.

Looking at some of the photos I remember Yellowstone National park and the unmistakable beauty of the geyser. I will never forget that part of our trip. They were incredible, pristine and so vividly colorful.

The angel paintings are just beautifully done and what a pleasure to look at them.

Happy St. Paddy's Day, my dear. May it be full of magical and unexpected surprises.

xoxo
