Anita,
I know I have said this many times with regard to your posts, but WOW. I especially like the worded image of looking "with eyes wide open wherein hues unappreciated reflect back in unimaginable glory." Talk about the life that gains perspective. I also love your picture choices. The multicolored wave curl, and the magical entrance to the verdant path. You lift me up.

I love the opening of 'not becoming what we want by remaining what we are'....how profoundly simple....yet so difficult for many to undertand.

Change comes...either by choice or by force.

I believe I could read your work from an unknown source, publication... anywhere in the entire world... and be able to pick out an Anita Rivera original every single time. Do you know why? Because it is pure MAGIC. No one writes like you, no one thinks like you, no one has the"gift" you possess.
One only discovers "magic" like you once in a lifetime.
Miss you... xo

How lovely this post is today, Anita. And it really hit home for me today, as I have been dreaming of the future. The unknown can be quite scary, you know? I love this little girl with the book. She looks so curious. It sounds like you are enjoying the summer. It is too hot here in California, and as I get older, I don't do well with the heat. Can I borrow some of your weather? Oh, that haunting path, I love it.

so many beautiful things here to see and THINK/PONDER upon.
It might be astounding if we looked at our surroundings with "new eyes"
seeing what we have missed because our opinions and frustrations of life in general cast a shadow on the beauty that is there....for us to find.
If we are willing.

Oh how I hate to see summer end. Anita, I truly will have to find a way of looking at winter with NEW EYES and a whooooole new perspective.
It is hard.

Another season, another journey, what a life! I want to walk down that haunting path, my eyes will, indeed, be wide open. The music is rather haunting too, and beautiful.

I am glad you enjoyed our quilt trail, it really was wonderful to see the spirit of camaraderie that went into the whole idea. So many saw the blocks and wanted one for their barn or business too. The local artists, schools and women's groups painted them. I painted 2 of them, it was all I could handle, they are HUGE!

Keep inspiring your beauty within and all around you.

We are allowed to taste the fruit
to pick the berries..... to bake and taste and above all
TO BE SO SURPRISED by all of it

Absolutely beautiful as always! I always like to take a moment to stop and think and ponder over your posts Anita - a testament to what a fabulous and magical power they have. Always a pleasure.
Best wishes,

p.s. I love your header, and thank you SO much for your gorgeous comments - Mr Sutton absolutely ADORED the dresser - I am fortunate enough that he has 'acquired' the same tastes during our 22 years together - I've taught him well - lol!

Fine.
