  92. Bon jour, lovely Anita. With coffee at hand and ready for more party visits this Sunday morning, I thought I'd stop by and say hello. So far today I have visited a couple of beautiful pages, but I simply adore Lynne's Dreams on 34th Street. Sigh...her post was the first that made me cry...tears of joy, of course. Her mention of a storybook Saturday and passing out red balloons instantly transported me to The Shop Around the Corner. :( I'm sitting here trying to come up with a creative solution for table and shop. hahahaha
Love inspiration, love this party, and love you.

I felt bad I had not had a chance to prepare a brand-new story for the event (being in the middle of a divorce while raisin a child and working has a tendency to throw your schedule off at times...) but as i was watching the French news on Friday, I was inspired to write a new post. I have published it this morning and linked back here. I hope you don't mind. Merci ma chère amie, et à bientôt... Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

Another beautiful post with fabulous images!!!!! Love Audrey and the Lucy image is great!!!!!
How was your weekend? We have bad storms here for the next 2 days- big bummer!!!! Hopefully no damage will occur- there have been some horrible tornados in the plains. These storms scare me because the winds can be so strong!!!!!
    Wishing you a wonderful week!!!!!

  125. Hello, lovely Anita, thank you for visiting my blog today! I somehow managed to delete your comment but copied it from an email and posted it on your behalf. Silly me!
I’m having so much fun visiting all the other blogs, much nicer than sitting in my office looking out at the rain!

  126. Anita, my dear, so wonderful to have the honorable hostess pop in for a surprise visit. Yay! Always so good to hear from you. I am actually setting up for part two of my French goodies...my very own attempt at the yummy macarons. Shhh...I actually liked mine better than the ones at the cafe. ;) I think it was because I whipped up my favorite orange chocolate ganache. Sigh...
Anyways, I hope to tie that in somehow with my French travels and the Memorial Day challenge. ;) You know me and this creative mind...non-stop!! :) I remember how your party last year inspired me to have a mini series titled French Summer. So much fun.

Well, I'm glad I popped in your mind because I am always sending love your way.
    xoxo's

PS-Yes, I am still making my way getting to know some of your lovely guests and I am savoring it without rushing.
    MUAH!!!!

  129. Dearest Anita,

I am not sure if you saw this comment from Chrislyn. She replied to your first comment on my blog on 5-17.

"Anita! This is Chrislyn, Lynne's daughter. Thank you so much for the perfect drawing of my babies. You did an excellent job of predicting what Ben will look like as a one year old. The little boy you drew looks a lot like my husband as a baby. It was such a thoughtful gift from my mom and will be a beloved piece of art in our home for years to come."

    Now...from...me.

So many lives you have touched, my friend.

So many minds you have enriched, and hearts that you have filled with joy, love and laughter!

Thank you for this beautiful gift!

  130. Oh, Anita, everything is so beautifully you.
Love your travels and what a beautiful French copper tub to soak in, I'm next after you so save some hot water for me.
How I would love to have an old French farmhouse kitchen with a burning wood stove and a copper soaking tub off in the corner, so rustically primitive.

The shutters are my next project of Frenchness to add to my kitchen window, love the window of shutters in aged white, sigh!

Anita I am feeling much better, still a bad cough and trying to move about the house today. I moved a piece I painted a few months back into my front living room taking the French chest that was in its raw driftwood finish to another room, not sure if it feels right yet, it's a lower piece and a bit longer then the French pieces that was in its place. I will see how it feels in a couple of days. You know when one is sick and everything feels like it needs a cleaning and a up styling so this is how my day went.
    Come visit soon my friend.

See you and all you inspire soon.

    Bisous
    Xx
