I make my own

go here to hear how this is pronounced

June has planted its petals

  3. Breathtaking, a favorite piece of music that I'd almost forgotten about, pictures of a summer nymph who makes us each recall the young girl we once were who woke up on June mornings wondering what glorious things might happen, and peonies, peonies!

    Superb offering!

  6. Your pictures of Clara are just lovely, and I love the last one of her wading in the water. And your Peonies are so pretty. I wanted to plant some in my garden this year, but the nursery said it was a bit late this year cause they have already bloomed, so maybe next year. They look like sturdy flowers. Love the soft pink color as it starts to fade. June looks extraordinary around your neck of the woods.

Anita, I really appreciate how you write just a few short words to tell a story. Words are powerful, and you use them with thought and care. Now, I know how to add fairy dust on my pics, but you must tell me how you got the misty effect on the picture of Clara holding the flowers, it's beautiful. Enjoy your time off from school, and enjoy the summer. I really liked the nature video, as I appreciate nature so much. And that garden fairy picture is just so precious. It could be on a greeting card heheehehe Your post is filled with wonder, and it put a smile on my face this Saturday morning.

  17. Beautiful photos Anita! Gosh that Clara lights up the photo I hope she will always be a willing model. I agree about the Peonies, fleeting beauty to linger in the minds memories just like my beloved Cherry Blossoms a beauty of profusiom for too short an amount of time. Thanks for the magical transportation into fantasy today.

“ Again a hauntingly beautiful and first-class creation.”

Atteindre mais surtout garder le même niveau éminent, ne me semble pas évident, mais toi, tu y réussis brillamment.
Puis-je te féliciter et te souhaiter un été plein de magie et d’extase...

And it seems as if the summer sings
It sounds like a magical melody
a sweet coral of eternal being
    a moment of pure ecstasy
    perfect harmony
    complete unity…

Your peonies are breathtaking. June is the gentle introduction to summer,so while the best of spring flowers will fade, I look to the season to come with acceptance. Longing for cooler days of fall seems to always be my routine. :-)

  63. It's always a "pays des merveilles" here, dearest Anita!
Juin est arrivé ! Sortie de l’école !
Your words and images take me back in time when I channeled my inner flower child. As a teen in the late 60's, I could walk a mile in my bare feet from my house to the shore of Puget Sound with my girl friends. We would paint little flowers on the top of our cheek bones with our Yardley face paints. As I look back, it was a wonderland!
    Happy June, Anita!

foxgloves with them because of my CHILDCRAFT BOOKS I was 10 when Daddy got them for me. My yard is full of them. My Peony's are on the dining room table and some falling apart. I have the Karl Rosenfield, Sarah Bernhardt and white Peony's. This is so you, beautiful music and post. yvonne
