Twice Upon a December...

She looked under the tinseled

Norway Spruce.

As a child

she imagined herself

shrinking even smaller than she was

escaping in a Christmas ornament

and landing

in a

land of perfect happiness.

But now as an adult

she has learned that

she can expand beyond

her size

via tumblr

right where she's standing

and confidently stride

instead of hide

to discover all the happiness

the world needs.

Twice upon a time...

It's great to have

and

give a second chance.

Oh Anita -- talk about matching the perfect music to the perfect words and images. I love every single thing about this post. Every note of music, every image, every thought behind your poem. And yes, to be bigger than you ever thought you could be -- oh, yes!

Thanks for visiting the blog. Blogger stopped sending me comments and I'm behind on answering people but you know I love it when you come by! Have a lovely Thanksgiving break.

Lovely post, friend C … but (again) no video for me … Wonder why that is … Do you put in the whole long link into blogger Hotmail? Just asking, because that's how it works for me, and Dutchess. Just sayin ... Much love, cat.

I am always filled with wonder when I see your photos, Anita. That miniature stage coach hehehe. I can just see you as a child looking at it and dreaming of being inside. That is the cutest ornament. And that cottage looks just like a Christmas cottage covered in snow. Yes, second chances are wonderful in life, and how blessed we are to be given even more chances than that. Happy Thanksgiving to you, my special friend. I'm thankful for all the love you've given me through the years and just for being YOU.

Anita,

Tu nous donnes,
quand la nuit est trop sombre,
la lumière de tes étoiles,
l'espoir d’une aube rayonnante,
l’extase de tes rĂªves...

Beautiful post dear Anita and thanks for sharing.
So lovely to see such a sweet post from you and loved the thought of you imagining you are riding in the little stagecoach.

I had to come over and see this ornament again. That is the cutest little thing, I want one! I know what you mean about imagining as a child. My mom would buy me colored construction paper from time to time, and I would make all sorts of things with markers, glue, beads, and glitter! I hope you are having a nice Thanksgiving, Anita. I just had a piece of pumpkin pie. : ) ~Sheri
