I published my first blog post
and
the content was based
on
what I knew and loved best:
My home.
In the last 12 years
I opened my garden gate and explored
various paths other than home décor
that led me to
that led me to
YOU.
Many of my readers inspired me, encouraged me
and they changed my life.
I took a year off from my teaching job
to open an Etsy shoppe.
I took writing classes that ignited a love for
poetry.
I have been gifted fine photography equipment
to launch off my idea to compose
a written and visual collection of memoirs
and
But on this first day of a new decade
I return home
for
just a moment
to not only share a photo gallery of progress
but
to celebrate the child-like happiness
my husband and I share
as we build our life together.
As I look at the things
we
were able to achieve
I am in constant awe
to think that one day
It will be revealed just how much
my soul
has been salvaged and transformed.

Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWow! The transformation of your space, the atmosphere has a spirit lift that's bright and soothing.
For 2020, I am wishing you Health and Happiness in your beautiful home, friend Anita :) Love, cat.
ReplyDeleteYes, this is inspiring! All the best to you and yours in the year ahead!
ReplyDeleteYou have made so much progress in your home, Anita. Every detail was thought out, and hard work surely made it all come together in the way you dreamed and planned. And I think a lot of love went into your home as well. I was looking at all your treasures in your living room, and it made me smile, as I love the dark traditional furniture, and you had some nice pieces back then, but I also love what you have done with the lighter tones and the earthly décor. Your copper pots and pans are so charming, love those. Everything looks so nice in your home, Anita. You and Ruben have done an amazing job turning your house into a home.
ReplyDeleteI hope this year brings you so much goodness. You spread love and joy to the lives of others, and my wish is that you get that in return. Happy New Year to a special and GRAND lady.

Your words "salvaged soul" and your transformation pictures all remind me of a life that broke out of the trap of living with and making the best of something that wasn't the real you. It's a sad thing that so many of us never push past that state because we're so caught up fighting momentary battles that don't really matter past the day. One of your greatest gifts is having a spouse that loves you enough to join you in your visions and support them. Happy New Year. I look forward to dreaming along-side you.
ReplyDeleteWow! Talk about a kitchen remodel -- that's fabulous. And I adore your studio. It is so you and what a wonderful venue for your photography. I am so very grateful when you pop up here! Happy New Year, my friend!

Best wishes for 2020, with good health and happiness.
hugs
Carolyn
