I Know What The Walls Would Say If They Could Talk

They would say

anita pelayo rivera les dames dabord

Because from top to bottom

anita pelayo rivera les dames d'abord

left to right

anita pelayo rivera les dames d'abord

anita pelayo rivera les dames d'abord

inside

and out

anita pelayo rivera les dames s'abord

anita pelayo rivera les dames d'abord

my husband has

painstakingly hammered

permanently inscribed

his affection

with every timber, measured detail

and stroke of his brush

that reads

like

Are you fluent in the language

a friend
a parent
a partner
a spouse
a neighbor

uses to communicate their admiration?

  1. Your house is wonderful, Anita. You and Ruben have done so much work, and it says "home" now. I love everything about it. First off, that window with the iron vine is so charming. Your girl painting, the one that reminds me of you, is sweet. Those yellow flowers that are growing by your window are so dainty and cute. I'm not familiar with those. Your copper pots, and Oh, that fireplace gets to me every time. What a wonderful post title you thought of today.....Yes, I'm sure your walls would say "I love you Anita." And I hope your computer screen is whispering the same thing from me. ; )

  2. I know what the walls would say Anita and it would be thank you sweet souls for keeping me beautiful, warm and welcoming. May we make you smile each day as you walk the rooms. This house is a work of your artful souls. You and Ruben have shown this house such kindness and love. Just beautiful.
