What Butterflies See

The Pink Lady Butterfly

lives up to 12 months

and

in this third month of the new year

all she has seen

are

winks and blinks

specks and atoms

glistening in unison

searching for life.

~~~~
An expert in survival
the butterfly knows
that the pulsation upon the earth
is partly in hope
partly in fright.
However,
She has winged through
drifted under
and
sailed above
ominous clouds
long enough to say,
She will be looking for somewhere to land
when the shadows pass.
Will you be there
standing tall
when she comes?
Thank you. A smile broke out onto my face getting to the ending. I want to be that rare flower that glows and grows through the dark. The joy of the Lord is my strength, and He is my Protector and Provider. Thanks for this bit of encouragement. ~ FlowerLady
Thank you, Anita. I teared up with the idea of all of this being the past. The struggle, the uncertainties, the threat to our loved ones and communities, those who have already passed, this earth.
With my face to the sky, I will look for the butterfly.
Those ominous clouds are as nothing when we stand together a safe distance apart. Stay safe sweet friend.
This is so beautiful. You are so talented. Such a comforting post in these scary times. One question: I wanted to see what a pink lady butterfly looks like. I googled it but all I got were pictures of the painted lady butterfly. I wish there were such a thing as a pink lady butterfly!
This is beautiful, Anita. And I think YOU are that rare flower that glows the brightest in the dark. And the Pink Lady Butterfly is surely to land on you. How are you doing, Anita, with all the chaos at school? Nel told me that her students are all doing their work online now. And Jess' elementary school has closed. But like you, the teachers are still going in and working. There's a lot to do, but it gives them this time to organize the classroom and tidy up a bit.
Love you, Anita, and I will always visit your wonderful blog filled with so much hope and comfort and love. Your words are soothing today when the world has so much on their minds.
Thank you, Anita, for giving us this beautiful picture of surviving and thriving in the storms of life. I agree with Flower Lady, the joy of the Lord is my strength, He is my protector and provider. He causes me to stand tall and wait for the butterfly to land. Butterflies have always been God's special gift to me. He knows how much I love them, and in the darkest days of my life He has often brought me one to cheer me. :-) I love the song you chose today, as well. Hugs, Nancy
So Lovely. It has been cold and dreary here in Michigan, but the other day just walking thru my gardens I saw a darling little blue azure butterfly gently floating past me. I know it was bringing some hope into my life at this terrible time. Beautiful music. Thank you so much.
Thank you for visiting. I was beginning to wonder if I still had a green thumb. As you know, the roses have been in pretty bad shape for almost 2 years. I am so happy they are back.
Thank you so much for visiting dear friend
