When you peer outside your window into the distance FAR, far away

what are you looking for?

I'm WAITING for the day when I can leave my perch

and my hearth

pack MY BAGS

and drop in

for a very SPECIAL cup of tea

with You

While blogging started out to be a venue for organizing my home decorating ideas

I was pleasantly BLINDSIDED to watch my weekly writing exercise become a LIVING Link to the WORLD

of fellow MAGPIES (for the love of sparkle)

resulting in making friends whose eyes

choose only to see the GOOD in people

and whose words are carefully chosen to encourage and simply impart joy.

The unique relationship we have is incomprehensible to some non-bloggers who may say that our connections do not involve GENUINE HUMAN INTERACTION.

But I DIFFER TO SAY that MAYBE BECAUSE OF the lack of the physical dimension

Bloggers SEE WITH THE HEART

Good Evening My Precious Anita...
Oh what beauty you have shown me in the time that we have gotten to know each other.

We have danced, we have sang, we have cried and we have laughed. I have enjoyed every single moment. You have made my heart "Happy", and helped me find my voice again. I am so grateful for that.

You have given me hope for teachers like you to continue teaching my grands, and knowing you won't give up on them or those yet to come. You are so unique. Never forget that.

For you my friend, hop on board, the tea cup is always waiting, and I have two chairs by the pool with our names on them. I will even make warm bread just for you.

May you always know what love you share with me each and every time I come to visit, and please know that for that I thank you from the very bottom of my little old desert heart.

Many hugs and SO much love, Sherry

Oh dear one...
yes, yes, yes. THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL. I too entered the WONDERfilled world of blogging, simply because it was a way to interact with customers. Little did I know it would lead to lasting friendships with kindreds all over the world. Who knew?...Who would have thought?...My days are enriched, by the words of LOVE and ENCOURAGEMENT that are planted by friends like you...each day you pop by so loyally, until it has bloomed into a beautiful sisterhood...thank you dear one.
What a gorgeous post...just lovely...and to think you have been featured again in this beautiful magazine...oh dearest, they are so fortunate to have your talent on their team...you go sister!!!
Today was a baking day...so very, very nice. I picked up a cooking magazine and that is all it takes. I pour over each and every page until they are quite dog eared, and then I can't wait to get baking. It was Earl Grey Shortbread today...so climb into that fluffy chair, and I will pour you a cuppa with a cookie or two on the side
Have the best day dear one...
....xoxo...Rosie

Bonjour ma belle Anita! And what a good day it is, when there is another one of your splendid posts, though I have to tell you that you have exceeded expectations again! Of course your posts are always a feast to the eye but this time you exceeded in the message. I think you have said it so well. I think this is what we all experience sooner or later: a 'real' person who tells you that those blogger contacts are only virtual, or asking: do you send that to people you don't know for real??? We bloggers know better, but you have said it so well Anita. When seeing me in real life you would or wouldn't have liked me at first sight, now we judge the message or the the feeling which is far better and more honest than some prejudices. Well you've said it all here, and better than anyone has done before, bravo! Have a lovely weekend with your loved ones, I hope all is well with you and your family, big bisous! LiLi

Dear Anita, Congratulations on a second feature being publshed! They are so fortunate to have you with them, I'm sure they must know! I'm not certain if you are aquainted with Madame Samm over at Sew I Quilt, ans Stash Manicure, but the two of you are quite alike. Both very worldly, passionate, kind, and both published writers! I think perhaps I am drawn to you both because of the heart I do know within each of you. I agree completely that we (bloggers) have a special relationship, although no physical meetings have been forthcoming for me, I feel that I truly know a few of my blogging friends. The messages we send back and forth give us a special window, and a freedom to express our true feelings, and yes, only the good, and supportive, kind words are spoken, but isn't that what we are all striving for in our daily lives? I know I am. We draw inspiration from each other, we are like a giant machine, each cog turning to enable the next to accomplish it's own revolution, the fuel is the love and support we all show each other, the kindship we share is real. I am missing our sweet Patricia I must go and email her. Wishing you a glorous day, thank you for yet more inspiration. It is always so wonderful to visit you! With Love, Christel

Oh, such a lovely new post you've created here Anita, i LOVE it. So right what you say about bloggers - we DO see with the heart, don't we? Somehow, you pretty much get the energy of a person when you communicate - and for me, this IS real human interaction. As long as you have some friends you actually see in flesh and blood as well, this is great. It's a way to have more friends - and share more love and beauty. It just brightens my every day.
Your new header looks really good too. Weekend, YAY! My hubby's back from examination - and he has to be a bit careful now, and do stress preventing things. Like breathing exercises, etc. Hope he will adjust to that.
Have a fantastic time and treat yourself to all things nice - you really deserve it! xx

Hi Anita,George is finally taking a sleep!!! be it only for a short time, so thought I get in on a comment, you are so right bloggers see from the heart, I offen think if any of us were in a room, a train station, a party would we ever speak to one another I have to say probably not. When seeing people face to face we seam to judge, by looks, disabilitys, age we make judgments before the person ever speaks, who are we to judge anyone by this alone. I work along side people with disabilitys from the ones that if you passed in the street you would not know they had anything wrong to the ones in wheel chairs that can't talk, but I don't see the disability any more but the soul behind the eyes, I guess what I'm trying to say is blogging is the same seeing the heart and soul, just like you say, and filling a need that is maybe missing in our every day lives.
Gee, sometimes your posts make my brain work, in a good way :)
I hear the kettle boiling or was a a bottle of wine being opened! Thanks for being a very treasured blogging friend
Have a great weekend

Yes, blogging is exactly as you described. It's interesting why we all start and how we all end up. So many times I hear bloggers link other bloggers together and we wonder how in the big wide world does this happen. Christel, just this morning was commenting on this on my blog and mentioned you. I sum it up and say it this way...

I think God and the man in the moon had a conversation as the night stars twinkle. While we are sleeping they match make us somewhere in heaven and over the moon.

real L O U D. You and your cookie munching noises...way too funny. Come to Abbotsford and move next door to me...so I can hear those cute noises in person, every morning, as we have our morning cuppa together.
Oh the barn sale was sooo much fun. It was VERY well attended, so I'm sure I missed ALOT...but came away with some really sweet little sparkly treasures...the cutest little pearl trees, a little sparkly turquoise church and even a few sparkly words, connected by pretty white ribbon. It turns out that I already knew the dear lady who created these beauties (Janice from "pinecone cottage")
I got my Hug from Koralee...Thank you dear one. There were so many ladies that I knew, I could have very easily spent another hour there...but then it was off to the shop.
Even though it was a bit CrAzY, I stayed late and got all caught up on my paperwork...it feels so good to be up to up to date.
It is almost time to get the house all pretty for the holidays...almost...hmmm...may this week :) we'll see.
Oh my dear how is your poor back? Did you get some much needed rest and relax on a heating pad? I hope so, as you are going to need to be in tip top shape to be able to stand for hours, with your nose pressed up against the window watching the progress of Bob and his many builders.
Oh dear heart this was a fabulous cuppa...I am ready to put on my fuzzy slippers, and put my feet up...have a peaceful day my sweet friend...sending hug, HUGS, and more H U G S....rosie

Hello dear Anita.
The girl in the tea cup? CC gave me a precious little girl in a tea cup. She said it reminded her of my blog. It looks like she's lying in a cup of fluffy bubbles. I'll have to send you a pic of her.
YOU ARE SOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL with your hart Anita. I see you named it. I'm forgetting his name now..it is a he? Interesting. Must be a story behind that one : )
The heart cloud is delightful also.
You always have the yummiest pics.
Montreal was fabulous. You would go cuckoo there for sure. Manon knows all the BEST spots, the BEST restaurants, and to me it was like being in N.Y. People everywhere, but dressed so "Frenchy" They have style and class. Sister Lolotte stayed in Montreal at her sisters. I will see her on her return.
On a sadder note, my 91 year old mom is coming home, being an hour away from here where we grew up. My sister had to drive 8 hours to pick her up in Windsor, Ontario, across the Detroit River. She's really loosing it. It's come on suddenly. We have to put her in a home. My sister will be minutes away, so that's good. We knew it was coming. The journey begins down the hill. I will have to go to Windsor and sell all her belongings that still remain in her 2 bedroom apt. I'm not looking forward to all of this.
So that's the news here in my neck of the woods.
Sending you hugs my dear friend.

Bob the builder is hard at work, increasing the size of your nest...soon it will be your turn to feather it with all your beautiful, fluffy, sparkly treasures that will make the queen of this fine castle
S*M*I*L*E.
Speaking of feathering the nest...I am sitting in the service this morning...trying so hard to keep my mind from wandering (please forgive my short attention span Lord)...do I go back to the "festive nest" to have another wander through or do I go home and house clean...hmmm...the festive nest won out ;D. This was a much more leisurely stroll, (with fewer ladies to wrestle to the ground)...giggle...very relaxing...ahhhh...to be surrounded by such sparkly beauty...heaven on earth.
Sooo...although I should clean my house tomorrow...I will head into the big city to pick up treasures of another sort. Our little velvet gloves are a favorite of my ladies, and maybe a few purses. We'll see what strikes the fancy.
Oh to have fun with another blog kindred...I have never met suzanne, but I wish I were in her shoes...you will have so much fun! It will be worth the drive...I will pray for a safe journey dear one.

Meanwhile. if you need a little break during your day come and visit me for a virtual cuppa and scones, all there in my new post ;)
I so hope you'll get your voice back in time for conference! Sleeping in was good for you - your body made the decision. Tell those kids to treat you nicely today! Am sending lots of love and healing vibes your way!

It is so amazing that just through this outlet of blogging, so many kindred spirits have connected. And you are right, for those who don't connect this way, they simply don't get it. But the relationships definitely go beyond the keypad. You have touched so many of us with your beauty and insight. No matter what the topic, I am always moved by what you have to say and the unique and beautiful way you say it! You have such a gift, and I am so Blessed to have connected with you! Your students are so lucky to have you as their guide, if only for a little while! I'm sure you are going to be THAT special teacher they will always remember! A huge congratulations on your feature, I will definitely check that out!Hope the remodel work is going well!!! Much love, deb xOXO

My dear, dear friend, you are under the weather...Do you get laryngitis often? Oh my poor girl, you are over doing it...GOOD that you have decided to take a day of respite, your poor body NEEDS it.
Now, tell me more about your "Tea Party"...Have you known Suzanne for quite a while? oh, I am positive that it was just PERFECT!
Well dearest, today was just another shopping day, with more gloves, scarves, trinkets and goodies. Tomorrow is definitely the day, I MUST spend with "Mr. Clean and the Gang"...It will be a fine day. I think I will order my tree tomorrow, and have it delivered at the end of the week...yes, yes I know it's a bit early, but because it is "flocked" the needles are "glued" together so it lasts quite well. I always get a couple extra feet so that I have extra boughs for my mantle and other little vingettes. I am getting excited!!!
I so L*O*V*E Christmas and all that goes with it. I am well on my way with my Christmas list...I love the "search and rescue", finding that perfect little "bit" for those dear ones on my list...Giggle...it truly makes me SMILE.
Oh dear one, I should very much like to bring you some homemade chicken soup and a bit of girl talk to pass the afternoon...but alas, a long distance hug will have to do...get much rest and get well dearest...xoxox...Love ~R~

Oh, dear, My prayers go for you tonight!! Hope you get better soon and soon!!! Hot tea, bed and a good book may help!! Do not talk a lot and save energy, please!!

Anita, how great you can stay at home tomorrow - that's the best thing to do - and you have a chance to get your energy back! Speaking of tea: i discovered white tea to drink while i'm working. It tastes really good and is supposed to be VERY healthy. Ever tried that?
Good to hear you had so much fun with your blogger-pal - that just proves that these friendships are not just "virtual" - yes, just what you posted about, you hit something here, and in a beautiful way! Have a lovely evening!
