This morning I took Napoleon for a walk. The sun was shining and, as can be relied upon, the little puggle was excited just to be a part of it all!
We happened upon some flowers in the garden that were blooming in a brilliant profusion of color, in spite of the hoary pull of Winter's trance. At that moment, I understood Napoleon.

Hello Anita:
What a delight for all the senses this post is....if only one could sniff the perfume too!!!

There is so much to thrill the senses in our world but, sadly, we are all too often too preoccupied with our everyday concerns to really appreciate it all. It is a timely reminder for us all to, at least once in a while, stand still and listen to the voices of our senses as they uplift our soul.

Yes dearest, that quote is great! This is what i need to do to heal ... And your sensual post is so full of inspiration Anita, so carefully you put it all together. Enjoy a sweet and cozy sunday! xox

Wonderful Anita!

It's interesting as we often go through life without really FEELING and using all that we have. I believe if we slowed down and listened, and better utilized our senses, we would feel better about ourselves and even make better choices.

Enjoy your weekend!

These photos are all so intense, Anita. Simply amazing. Sometimes I feel as though I can't 'take it all in' at once. You know? I want to savor every moment and to be thankful for every little breath I take, not just go traipsing along with my head down not looking for the glorious in every thing. The is beauty in the minutest detail of a leaf or a puff of cloud in the sky. All miracles from the One who made them. It is all too mind boggling at times...but here we are given the ability to drink it all in with all of our senses.
Like your quote from Emerson says...what matters most is what lies within us in order for us to enjoy what lies outside of us. Thank you for sharing these thoughts and intense photos.

Oh well, you know me. Anything that opens with a rabbit has to be good.
And now you've put a new version of 'All Along the Watchtower' in my head.
It's all your fault, Anita!

All along the Tea Tower.
(To the tune of
All along the Watchtower)

"There must be some way to get out of here,"
said the Rabbit to the Bear.
'There's too much ice and snow
and an owl in my hair.
All those birds, they drink my tea,
ate up my chocolate pear!"
The girl looked puzzled,
and turned to the bear...

"No reason to get excited!"
the bear kindly spoke,
"There are many things to laugh at,
the owl just told a joke.
But you and I are hungry now.
Can't put snow on our plate.
Let us get moving,
or for tea we'll be late!"

(Break for Jimi's guitar solo...)

All around the piano
Ballerinas filled the pot
Mermaids walking to and fro.
The tea was nice and hot.

Outside in the cold distance,
the man and owl did run
They could hear teacups rattling,
didn't want to be late for the fun.

Yeah!

(Big guitar finish. Thank you Jimi.)

So what are your plans for Thanksgiving although I'm sure it involves yourself making a homemade meal for this holiday, and I have just posted a fresh post from Jean today so let me know what you think about that recipe.

I will be posting this Wednesday five Amish style recipes instead of only my usual one so maybe you can pick something from those and make it at some point.

After this week of posts I will be on a "Thanksgiving break" for one week and will return on Nov 26, I will post an announcement on Nov 18 regarding the future of my blog and the changes that will be coming for the new year. Richard

Here comes another silly friend just like Mr. Ruben, I loved the moment where I saw the bear and rabbit and owl. I wanted that moment never to end. Breath is all in and keep it in. So it sinks deep into your heart, runs wild in your imagination and keeps your heart beating and your mind alert to the tracks we've left behind and the tracks we need to follow.

How am I? A bit dizzy this morning! No need to fret, Len sent me into the dizzy phase because he took my car keys to work and I have no way to get to work. I've called three people and nobody is awake! Oh me, oh my, what should a girl with a curl do? My curls are a bit twisted this morning. Perhaps I should just play hooky and call it a day! I have a fear of taxi drivers! No kidding! I'm only been in taxi's in Europe, that must have been what planted that deep rooted fear in me.

Len and I just had a wonderful weekend together. We stayed in bed late, didn't clean up the house at all or do any pressing errands. Played with the dogs and watched some t.v. and went to a couple of craft shows. It was easy going and much needed. Rarely do we have two days off in a row anymore.

What will you be doing my dear for Thanksgiving this year? We will be at Kara's. Shaun's first surgery is this Thursday. I'll be going to Seattle with Kara to support her. Thanks for your prayers!

No wonder there are always so many comments here Anita... you touch something in our hearts every time, and the pictures you use for your beautiful words are so incredible... I always know I will smile and breathe deeply when I visit you. Is that you playing the harp so beautifully??

ohhhhh A N I T A ..... sigh....oh how wonderful it is always to find myself on your magical pages! I'm so lucky I found you, I've said that before. I will begin my day, my dearest with the utterly alchemical BEAUTY here that so touches my soul. Yes, the senses, we love to live through them.....breathe it all in, transmute it into something better, then love it all out LOL Loving it!

You are so sweet to come and visit!
I did not have a new piece to share so I compiled a few of my recent and old.. The gorilla was created about nine years ago, he is living in Indiana.

Wishing you a bundle of love and joy tomorrow... Happy Thanksgiving dear friend.
