BIENVENUE À SCÈNE 1 - Au Commencement

I dedicate this play to little Bronwyn, a true lover of nature, beauty and truth.

Le Petit Théâtre de Chimères
vous présente une pièce de théâtre en 4 scènes d'après l'auteure dramatique Camille Benoit AKA, Madame Anita! Make sure that your volume is up so you can hear the sounds...

Il était une fois une fillette
...
Once upon a time there was a young girl that lived in a little cottage carved out from an old oak tree nestled in the heart of the forest.

Her most beloved possession was a magnificent blue bird, whose feathers sparkled by the kiss of the morning sun and shimmered by the rays of the nocturnal moon. When the little creature sang, the sky would shed tears of joy, sending dainty droplets of sweet rain to nourish the forest while the sun would immediately follow suit in a symphony of warm tones and vibratos.

For long ago, the little songbird and her kind had been visited by the infant fairy Condelezza who blessed her with sweet harmony and sprinkled her wings with the blue gossamer dust of angels.

One early morning as they stepped out to the garden to pick wild lavender, the little bird's heart was overtaken by a desire to sing graceful melodies heard only where fairies dwell. Simultaneously, a magnificent being suddenly appeared; she was enveloped in roses as red and intense as passion itself.

She murmured to the little duo, "From where does this gentle music flow?" The child responded, "My lady, the sound you hear issues out from the soul of my sweet Isabeau." The lady slowly knelt on the mossy earth and whispered faintly, "I have found La Diva and she is destined to greatness; Isabeau shall come with me to present herself to the outside world and she will have all of Anastasie at her feet." The young girl's heart broke for she loved Isabeau greatly and could not bear the thought of being separated from her, for the sun was always warmer and the sky forever blue with the song of Isabeau in her soul. However, the child knew that she could not keep Isabeau from the great city of Anastasie, whose name signifies "resurrection. " And though it was painful, she made her farewells. Isabeau then flew away on the shoulders of the messenger in the direction of the great kingdom, while the young girl's eyes followed the waning trail of blue gossamer dust in the ashen morning sky.

My dearest Anita,
This post has come after your latest and I think your patrons might still be waiting in the lobby. You need to go in and change the publish date under your post options. Then they will rush in like crazy.

Anita, Oh, I just adore this story. I can't wait for the next act next week. How beautiful.

Bluebirds, fairies, the spirit, and spiritual lessons, this is my kind of story. My favorite book is The Children's Bluebird of Happiness. Your word pictures make me want to paint. I love how your words speak a language that suits your lovely castle.

I do apologize for me being a bit tipsy.Champangne is like heaven for me ,but Mice a very sensitive persons you know..I do have a bit of a headache!
What a wonderful dress this lady was wearing..almost as beautiful as mine...did you see me?
We are all so looking forward to the next act..
So sad for the sweet young girl to see her beloved fly away...there where tears in my eye..luckely I always have a little flowery handkerchief in my purse..even Gustave had to blow his nose..well ,he blew so hard the handkerchief flew through the theatre I'm afraid..We did find it again under Mozes his seat..he was sitting in a dark corner..(because he didn't want to scare the others!)
He was wearing his top hat and looked like Fred Astair..Mozes is a great dancer!
As you might have noticed..we had a lovely evening..Thank you so very much..
Your friends..
Miss Moussie..Gustave, and Mozes.

What a lovely tale so far!

I have to say, I think you would be utterly enchanted to experience the tale Through the Cobweb Forest if you haven't already. The bird song accompanied by your stage presentation reminded me of this atmospheric story:

A toast to you, and I look forward to act II!

Anita,

So glad you liked Through the Cobweb Forest! A friend of mine, Lisa Stock, wrote and co-created it. It's so haunting, and unlike anything else out there online!

Rest assured, I'll probably submit a third act when the time comes. Sounds fun!

"MAGNIFETE!!!"
I loved this so much....

The script writer of this fine story was so creative and witty. And the set design was detailed in every way.

Although I only had the "Ginger Ale"..(in a Champagne glass ...Waterford Crystal of course)I felt a tad overwhelmed by all of this.
I been honored to be a part of this special viewing!
Congrats!
Merci Beaucoup,
Joyce

One random question I wondered about, and the pictures made me think of it.

Where did you get your diamond pane windows?

savvycityfarmer said...

how did I miss this premiere??
I have a good imagination ... I'll guess there was standing room only!

DARLING.

Grace said...

Oh what a wonderful website!!! It's funny...Tom (husband) and I were just in Home Depot last Saturday and we had someone in the window department price quote us on diamond pane windows. A single standard size window in white vinyl diamond panes was about $320 per window, just the window itself, not even installation. Despairing, I said "I wish they made those vinyl window clings with faux leading."

Voila!

And the proof is in the pudding...just the pictures I've seen here that incidentally show the windows have me thoroughly impressed as to the finished product! It may be a while till we can use the stuff (though I'm dying to now) because we currently rent, but we're dreaming of home ownership, and keeping an eye on the local market.

Thank you!!
