New Years Wishes To All

PLEASE TURN UP THE MUSIC AND SHAKE IN THE NEW YEAR!

As we step over the threshold of a new year, observe what kinds of doors of opportunity will beckon you to stop, knock, and open...

Will you be knocking on enchanting little doors that will lead you down a verdant path to your wildest of dreams?

Or, will you be creating and painting your own doors of opportunity?

Some doors that you may encounter will be left wide open for you, with peaceful, illuminated paths that will lead you directly to the other side of your goals

and will reflect who you are and be bright and clear.

But don't be discouraged my friends, if you encounter doors that are intimidating and austere,

that seem too high to reach

or impossible to enter through

and seem to be shut tight.

Just look closely, because some doors have been left ajar, just for you

and though some doors may appear to have been neglected over the chilly seasons of disappointment,

they just might be meant for YOU to pry open with all that is within you. However, the work often starts out as a lonely quest

and always begins with the very first step.

When you will have arrived on the landing of success

you can be sure that there will be someone waiting for you that loves you, with an open heart of admiration, waiting to invite you to rest, reflect and rejoice in your endeavors.

CELEBRATE THE POSSIBILITIES FOR 2010!

Dedicated to all of those who not only are dreaming big, but for those who simply need a job, the sale of a home, or the peace that surpasses all understanding...

Bonne Année mes amies!

Oh, one more thing. What should I do with my hair this year?

Dearest and truest Bug,
I look forward to walking through doors together. One door is the completion of your masters degree (I'm so proud of you). Another big one is writing both in blogland and beyond. Our long planned "addition" to our home -- i.e., new literal doors to new rooms in our home. And of course our relationship.
Great post and hot music. Got me dancing.

Your hubby's comment touched me. He sounds like my Randy, caring, loving and patient.
Congratulations on getting your Masters.
My door is always wide open to new adventures, friendships, and laughter.
So glad to have met you Anita. Your words are like running my fingers over silk...wow listen to me, see how you inspire?

At the risk of sounding as if I'm impatient, greedy or overachieving; hopefully I am none of those, I will open as many doors as possible this year. Behind one will be the road which leads to a humble success.

Thank you for your post. As usual, you inspire.

I love you and your wonderful husband and pray blessings on you both for this New Year!

Anita! I LOVED LOVED LOVED this post! Truly, I've always had a fascination with doors and stairways ... where do they lead? What is just beyond ... loved it! This post makes me excited for 2010, the job I've been waiting for, the opportunity to take a writing class and not be "intimidated by doors that seem too austere or out of reach" Plus I LOVED THE MUSIC! As far as your hair, Anita, you can wear it anyway - your beautiful face could even handle going bald! LOL!
HAPPY NEW YEAR AND GOD BLESS YOU BOTH!

Once upon a time, a young 17 yr old girl artist named Jody Bergsma (you can catch her art on the web)came to consult my mom. Mom had designed a book on how to draw eyes and mom showed Jody how to draw them. Years later mom passed on and Jody came to visit me one day and said..."Jacqueline, don't worry, your mom has just gone through an open door".
Thank you for your inspiring words that leap across the page with Celine singing in the background...my heart took flight on this very special New Years night. To us, to friendship that will last far beyond Nowhere...to eternity we will go...

Bonjour Anita!! Bonne année et meilleurs voeux! You must have thougt that I vanished from earth, not thanking you for your personal Christmas wish and not responding to previous posts! The truth is that I caught a terrible cold and when I finally recovered from that I just needed a computer break. I didn't want to spend all Christmas holidays behind the computer. But today it is a new year and I am catching up. Starting with your incredible post, I love it! I was thinking of making a post about door knockers and you did this one about doors to open this year. I do hope and wish that every door you will be knocking on this year will open for you with a big swing! Starting with defending your thesis! Wishing you and your family all the best for 2010, bisous LiLi

I love the doors, they are all beautiful. Now is this music from Breakfast at Tiffany's party? I love these doors, when I lived in Princeton, NJ they had a beautiful poster called the doorways of Princeton. I lugged it all the way to Hong Kong so that I could remember the scenes there.

Happy New Year, I hope the coming year brings you every happiness.

had to get my dancing shoes on to start dancing while reading your enchanting post. You are ALWAYS inspiring with magic-filled posts, your wonderful touching words, amazing pics and lovely music. You have the unique gift of speaking directly to people's heart and I'm so thankful that you spoke to mine as well.
I'll try to open and walk through as many doors as I will encounter along my path this year, and hope to always have your sweet words of encouragement to support me just like you've done during my first 6 months of blogging .
May you and Ruben have a fabulous and most blessed year. BTW, OMGosh you are completing your masters degree... the more I learn about you the more you amaze me. You are a truly gifted sweetie to whom I wish all the best.
Bonne Année and lots of love

p.s. Your hair looks great just the way it is but if you really want to go for a change, well then I'd try it short without bangs...

Dearest Anita
Thank you so much for your visit and beautiful comments on my painting.
The rose petals that I used for her wings were on a table, all in a row. Bebe asked if she could help put them on but I said no.. I just had this vision of her all stuck together..
Well, I got up to get a cup of tea, came back, and she had made a mountain out of the petals and was perched on top! What can you do?
Oh! Jacqueline and the Dutchess came to visit me! I was so honored...
What a treat... The Dutchess said Bebe is off to Nowhere with mozes.. said she is in his napsack.
I can here your music playing in my head all day.. I love this music.
Have a great evening.
