It's Party Time

There are some birthdays to celebrate, so step inside the Little Pink Tea House

where you will be greeted like Royalty

but before the festivities begin, you will need a crown

so make your selection carefully

or you might prefer a lovely paper hat

or better yet, a killer coiffe, à La Marie.

But don't feel silly or all alone in this masquerade

because Rosie, Violet, Tish, Dzintra and I will be all dressed up for our birthdays

in pink, opulent style. So pick up your costume

and if this style is a bit too cumbersome, our armoires are filled with various styles that might suit you

with accessories to embellish.

birthday dress
Make your own Glitter Graphics

So don't tie your corsets too tight Mesdames, because the best is yet to come; there will be a Raspberry Chocolate cake

ice cream cake by the slice

or by the sea

vanilla cake with dripping chocolate sauce

and a bizarre but beautiful Marie Antoinette fondant cake.

So now ladies, take your lovely serviettes made out of the finest fabric Carolyn Quartermaine can design

and daintily wipe your mouths

and follow the "sistahood"

down the corridor to the back of the little Pink Tea House

for a classic show just for you...please forgive the title...it was the only one available, but the show speaks for itself...well, for some reason the show has been deemed "disabled" from this site, but you can still click on the screen and then click on WATCH ON YOUTUBE and see it for yourselves....it is worth the trip!

Now mes amies, I hope you enjoyed yourselves, and maybe you can leave tonight with a little something to write in your memoirs

of a memorable birthday soirée for Violet, Rosie, Tish, Dzintra and Me!!

O Good..I'm the first one to arrive..all dressed up and wearing my party pink hat..what a wonderful place this pink tea house!!! I have a little surprise..its on the way by air! BUT....it will arrive a little late because of a BIG GREY CLOUD. And like Miss Moussie is always saying..big grey clouds can be very suspicious! Something to do with a vulcano in Ice land..So,be patient dearest...your present will be delivered soon we hope!
Now, lets eat some marvelous chocolate cake..and sing a birthday song.

Madame Anita
It is my great pleasure to be a part of your birthday celebrations! I have collected my gown and have just been admiring the party decorations! As Marie Antoinette the 2nd it is an honour to be here. The raspberry chocolate cake is exquisite and the Carolyn Quartermaine napkins are "parfait"! It is all so beautiful and I wish truly a "Very Happy Birthday".
My best wishes always

Since I'm still flying hi from my birthday party celebration, I will take off my party shoes, my fancy dress and crinoline to put yet another one on for your beautiful celebration. I will leave the corset at home, because dessert is one of my favourite things to eat.
Happiest of birthday to all the girls. May your day be filled with love, friendship and memories to last a life time.

My dearest Anita,
I'm so sorry I haven't had the chance to visit lately, but you know how busy I've been - and way too exhausted to sit in front of my notebook and visit my fave blogs. Last night, when homefrom the office, I decided to lie down for a couple of minutes to rest my tired old eyes (need new glasses which for some reason are not yet ready after nearly 3 weeks) and woke up this morning when the alarm went off still in my clothes...
nevertheless I've truly enjoyed th lovely bday party at the Little Pink Tea House. It's been a great pleasure to join you in your celebrations. You gave me the chance to wear my most elegant and opulent party dress, that marvelous crown in your first pic (although that lovely paper hat would have matched just as perfectly with my splendid whimsical dress) and taste a huge slice of your scrumptious raspberry cake. BTW you were absolutely right: shouldn't have tied my corset too tight.
For once I could even forget that I have a house to find soon...
Happy B'day month to you and Violet and, belated wishes to Rosie. It's been the most enjoyable and fantastic soirée. Thank you for inviting me over.
Bisous

Ahh....the one with the tiny QUEEN label....after all.........And, I'd love MY cake by the sea. But, since it's YOUR party...I'll let you choose first. It's just the kind of girlie I am. ;-)

Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday Dear girlie! You are so special...I hope it's a fabulous day.

I thought you lived in France...silly me! I want to see your charming cottage in Minnesota. So you used to live in Cali? What part? I grew up in the Bay Area...so San Fransisco is my Paris. I did not realize how much I love Cali until I left. I was terribly homesick...my body actually broke down and it took about 7 yrs. to heal. Sea Cottage brought complete healing, health, and wholeness. I can never go so far from the sea again. The salty air makes me feel the best. Bless you my dear friend...I love all your visits!!! You make me smile everyday. ox~ Fairmaiden

I'm obsessed with old castles. How great to find this blog. When I go home to Sweden I drive three hours from the airport in Stockholm and pass caste after castle-it's such a treat.

My dear friend, Happy Birthday!!! I hope you had a wonderful time! I m so sorry my delay! I have no excuse! I am tired! I begon my B2 niveau this week. I am preparing myself now for the National Exam and the results were not very good...A very though week...
I want to give you a special cadeau from the North of Portugal, but I only can do it after the summer. It is handmade, unique in the world, and I want to chose it in person..so, I apologize for this delay, also. But I think you ( and also your husband) will like it...it is about love ;-)
My dear friend, you know you are in my hearth always, always!!! You are so special and unique!
God bless you for ever and ever!!!
Your ftiend,
Sandra

Yeah, I only WISH I were popular enough to get 55 comments......No, some of those happy little thoughts were from the first posting. And, look at YOU....114!!! Now, THAT'S POPULAR!

Oh, the hours we could spend chatting....I used to get in trouble at school alll the time for talking too much. And, that was always the comment on my report card "needs to learn to stay in her seat and be quiet"... :-) And, you thought Chatty Cathy could talk!

Huggies dear one...

PS....wish I knew what to do with the stained tray. I've used Barkeeper's Friend on many things with great results....maybe you could try a smidge in a tiny spot on the back? I've also discovered those Mr. Clean pad do-hickies....they work GREAT on lots and lots of things. That's all I can suggest.
