Valentine Day's creative enchantment
is now an afterglow of sweet memories wafting in the cool wind
only to be pondered in quiet solitude
on something as F*A*B*U*L*O*U*S as this.
for like in the fairytale, my place of rest can't be too big or too small
but just right.
I don't know if I'm going gray
because I'm going gray
but I need calm surroundings in order to honestly savor the beauty of winter
in joyful anticipation for the next season of life to reveal itself little
by little
so that I can swing open my French doors
and join you in the garden to play.
We are on the shores of Spring my friends
and we're almost there, so let's drink an elixir of hope together
gazing at the horizon
of our destination to paradise.
Survive
Strive
and most of all
thrive
in the anticipation of the coming months of
unfolding beauty!

I have been thinking of your gray wood work and cannot wait to see it painted. Love you both!
Nancy
spring.......I hope it doesn't forget about US here in freezing Alberta. It has been below zero all week........like 10 below.
I am feeling weary of winter. I need some warm sunshine on my face and dabble my toes in grass with my nose stuck in the wonderful scent of flowers.
please......spring. don't pass us by. We need you here.
but your photos always make me happy!!!! and hopeful
What a beautiful trip towards Spring!! Thank you for the journey,KS
I've had several days in a row that have given me a preview of spring. I dare not think that the gray has passed. I do have renewed hope after looking at your journey towards spring. ♥
Happy Day,
Stephanie ♥
Anita, you do it with every post ~ perfection! What a glorious "trip towards spring" indeed!
Have a terrific weekend! ~ sarah
grey is the new aqua, purple, and BLACK!
i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh I want that grey sofa! I think I've liked grey these past couple of years because I am getting older. Grey feels comfortable to me. My hair is still natural brown/dirty blonde, but when it does turn grey I will let it. I've never dyed my hair and don't plan on ever dying. It's funny because all of my kids dye their hair...and change colors often.
I wanted to thank you so much for your lovely words of support. I really don't know HOW you do it all Anita. If I had a full time job outside of the home I would not be able to blog. YOu visit it me far far more often then I think is possible!!!! Now that I will be slowing down it will be easier for you to keep up with my posts! tee hee.
I'm so excited for you and your new 'room'. I think it will become the most heavenly sanctuary for you. Blessings for you weekend and week ahead. Much love to you my dear friend. ox
Ahhhhh....yes the trick is to find the perfect balance...crisp grays to creamy taupes and browns...twinkly, sparkly chandy crystals to rough hewn beams with years of glowing patina...soft flowing drapes to the rich sheen of thick chocolate velvet. You my dear are up to the challenge...a few silver locks, only goes to show the wealth of wisdom that resides inside.
So today my quest was to find a frilly dresser to add to the little stockpile I have accumulated, for the time that I am not up to the challenge...and am HAPPY to report that I have accomplished this task, with not only one lovely lady, but two! Now keep in mind that these girls need a wee face lift, but after a fresh coat of paint and a smattering of shiny glass knobs, this pair of sisters will be the hit of the r&r party.
Have sent you a snappy of these two girls, but keep in mind that this is the "before", with the "after" still to come.
So am in the shop tomorrow, greeting those lovely ladies who come in for our linen sale. Have a perfectly charming day with your precious man. Oh, thank you, thank you for that "Happy Snappy" of your FAVORITE handy man. Glad to still see a smile on that cute mug, now that this HUGE project is coming to an end...hugs and kisses a plenty...Rosie
Hello Dearest! I love this post! So full of promise, beauty and renewed sense of life! I can't wait to open my windows and let the warm breezes sooth my soul! I am so excited about your new room and excited that you will have a place of peace and beauty where you can enjoy and ponder the things that are offered to us.
Enjoy your weekend and thank you again for inspiring my heart and bringing Spring to me a little bit earlier! :)
Fabulousness for sure! Love it all.Happy Friday~Cheers Kim

Well Dear Anita, Julie and I will drink to that : )
Julie arrived late last night and brought the Vancouver rain with her. Melted all our snow...but tonight we had a little blizzard as we were leaving Sister Lolotte. WOW.
It's suppose to get below zero again tomorrow : )
I want her to feel the cold on the end of her pretty nose. Wear all her pretty scarves and mittens she brought.
We are having FUN.
We wanted to say hi to our favorite French Teacher.
Love Julie and Claudie
xoxoxoxo
Wonderful Anita!! I am in love with that gray velvet sofa and your thoughts of spring soon to come.

Oh! I LOVE that grey velvet couch!!!! It is luscious.
What inspiring words and pictures, we have had a peek into spring here this past week, and It is such a treat!
You have a busy weekend of painting, and oh how it is all coming together! The rooms shall be beautiful...
Just got back from the fun event I told you about. Lynette and I tied for first place in the outrageous hat contest, photos later tomorow to show you : )
LOVE!
Violet
Bonjour Anita,
Ah Spring...your words are encouraging as I look out the window and watch the rain coming down. It will soon be here won't it? I did see the tiniest budding bulb trying to peek out in our little garden (well soon to be garden, it looks a bit forlorn right now).
The grey sofa has caught my eye. It would be perfect for my Honey's office we are working on.
Hope all is wxell with you my sweet but frazzled friend. We will have a proper 'cath-up' when things are settled and quiet again.
Bisous,
Mimi
These images are oh so beautiful. Love that couch. Perfection. Cheers,
Lisa x
Dear Anita,
One thing about winter in the Midwest: they are beautiful but long. Long enough to make Spring seem like a real resurrection to new life when it finally arrives. Long enough to make you feel like you're waiting on pins and needles in anticipation. I'm on pins and needles now.
Beautiful post.
Love
Ruben
We are still in the middle of a heat wave. 35 c today. But im not looking forward to winter. Fiona
My hair is going a bit grey too. Because i had skin cancer and the shingles in my head too, I can't color my hair, but I have learned to graciously grow older and that growing older is a state of mind.
As you are a fan of Audrey Hepburn, read my last two posts about her. I think it will put a smile on your face.
As to grey, I have always been able to see the grey areas and not seen things as black and white.
Lovely post,
Micki
Bonjour mon amie!
I'm a bit tired of the grey of winter... spring will be a welcome change. The pond out front is melting now and the swans & ducks can swim again at last!
Love that grey sofa you showed. I love to see furniture done in neutrals and pops of color with accessories!
Can you see a light at the end of the tunnel yet with the approach of spring and your summer vacation? I know you've been working hard and will love this summer to come!!
We will have he Sweetie Girls this weekend... I see Princesses and fairy wings in my future!! LOL
Bises, Sherry
What a beautiful post! I am seeing spring popping up here in Northern Alabama and it will make it's way everywhere eventually. Winter is the promise of spring...

Marcie
I do want to curl up on that couch!
Hello Anita,
Here in Madrid it's a rainy and gray day, thank you for this spring moment full of beauty that today you give to us.
Have a wonderful and rested weekend
Muchos besos,
Cecilia
Anita, this a lovely post....do love that grey couch!!!!
Of course anything in velvet is to die for but that wonderful color of grey, oh my!!!!
Your photos have such an impact on me when I see them.....they are so intense, they make me conjure up all sorts of images of things I could create in those striking colors!!!
If this is the shade you are using for your new home on the woodwork, it will be stunning!
Thank you for an inspiring post!
Hugs,
Margaret B
My youngest would have loved that pink Vespa.
How beautiful this all is...I'll meet you in the tent dearest....This tent reminded me of a tent I gave to Charlotte on her third birthday..and also the first tent in which my hubby and I sat when we were 4 and 5..Now..I would love to sit in it whit you..maybe one day when you visit the Hilltop..or when I visit Rabbit Hill...what fun we would have..

What gorgeous pictures and it does help to remind us that spring is on the way. Thanks!
What a journey this beautiful post was Anita.
I think when a post leaves you speechless that is the best journey for the mind.
You take us there... with you and that makes everything beautiful.
Anita thank you so much for your oh so sweet comment on my blog :)
My going glam blog is my inspiration for my photography! I have a photography blog, love for you to come see me there ;)

Gray is such a beautiful color... that sofa... I am in love! I hope that is going to be in your new space??!!! Spring is coming... NY is finally thawing and the light has changed just a little -- less blue.
After all the contraction of winter comes the expansion of Spring. The crystals in my LR window are throwing deep richly colored rainbows into the room... for valentines Dr Lostpast held one in his hands for a photo... what an image of joy and possibility.
Sadly, my poor hair is going beige (but slowly--thankfully) the curse of the red toned mane!
Let's toast to life and possibility, shall we?
I always drift away to the most beautiful places when looking at the wonderful photos on your Blog!
Hurry Up Spring!
Wishing you a lovely Saturday!
LuLu~*xoxo
Anita, this just knocked me over. Love this gorgeous, springy post!! I can't wait to get my bike out and I love seeing the winter/spring versions above.
Happy, happy weekend!!

I am enchanted ! Thank you.
Happy Weekend sweets xx
Hello beautiful friend! You know, I saw your blog post title about gray hair, lol, I think I found my first one! Going Monday to have the hair done!! I'm surprised my whole head isn't gray by now! hehehe I am so glad you received the Valentine, and I pray I had no grammatical French errors there (yikes!!!) I know the hectic feeling,a nd you are ALWAYS a breath of fresh air and calmness for me- such a bright light. Your pictures here are beautiful! That room, I would never want to leave it!
Anita you need to put all your blog posts together in a huge memoir.....I'd buy it!!!!! Seriously, you are brilliant in conveying a message, you have such a gift, and a gorgeous heart! You inspire so many of us, all the time- even in your hectic life! That says a lot! Thank you and lots of love to you! xOxO
Well hello ma chère, chère amie, I like grey a lot, found out that it matches beautifully with earth tones like taupe and brown. It's the color palette in my wardrobe this season.
All the things you are thinking about right now, every detail. It's so much fun and perhaps a bit exhausting too. I leave difficult decisions to the 'stars' at night, think about it shortly before falling asleep and mostly the day after or a few days later it comes together, the answer comes to mind.
Anyway, I adore toutes les photos, ma plus chère amie, Sooo Springlike. I'm all ready, bring it on!
Much love for a loveliest of weekends, Anita xxxx
So beautiful, Anita! I always smile when I see a new post from you on my sidebar...I know it will be oh, so lovely and peaceful...thank-you for all you share.
Hoping your weekend is filled with every wonderful thing...
Julie
Bonjour Anita!

What an exquisitely illustrated dream of a story!! Winter doesn't look so bad here but so looking forward to the colorful emergence of spring!!
Hi Anita! Hope you're having a BEAUTIFUL weekend! I simly love the picture of all the beds - soooo adorable!!!
Kristin xoxo
Good luck with all your work, Anita! I'm sure it will look exquisite! And oh, that last room is so enchanting :) :)
xoxoxo
Oh Anita dear. Your poetry is exquisite. The images you choose are perfection. You, my friend, have become so dear to me. Thanks for coming by my blog and making my day.
I was sipping a cup of orange blossom tea last night, feeling all cozy under my blanket, just enjoying the peace of it all on my favorite chair. I decided right then that, even when I can't wait for the wonderful spring weather, I will make the most of the last few weeks of winter. Happiness is truly a daily choice.
Take care, my darling friend. Have a fabulous weekend.
Dear Anita,
You always have the most gorgeous photos.
I have my French door wide open and I can hear the cicadas singing loudly.
Hope Spring comes there soon, so you will be able to enjoy the bright sunshine and colour again. Not that gray isn't lovely, but time for a change.
Enjoy your weekend dear friend and many thanks for visiting me and all the love you share.
Hugs
Carolyn
Anita I have my 3 grandchildren with me at the moment so I hope I can leave a coherent comment! I have not done gray in my house but it is a thought. As for the gray skies, the past few days have been very much a tease. I am afraid that gray skies are making a return any day now. My gray hair is another story.....I am not ready for it so I keep it hidden. your photos are beautiful and inspiring and of course you were playing on my favorite Miss M songs! ~Hugs, Patti
Bonsoir ma belle! Thank you for the reminder that the promise of spring will soon be among us. Feeling the warmer temperatures this week has made everyone here come alive again ~ dining outdoors at the cafe's, my sunroof was open.. and I took Bella out for ice cream last night!
The grey Chesterfield sofa is fabulous! I have my eye on it for our next sofa purchase!! It's so me.
Wishing you a wonderful rest of the weekend. I'm assuming you're off on Monday. Three day weekends are reason for a champagne toast.. not that one needs a reason!
xoxo, B
Such vibrant colors make up this "gray post!" (I think a couple of photos even look like Greece!~) Really lovely contrasts and so full of hope... a good reminder that even if we don't live where it's too gray outside the door that we do have very "gray days" of feeling on occasions...and that "these too will pass" to vibrant days of sunshine and sparkle and a world where everything for that moment...is terrific!
Thanks, dear Anita!
Ann
PS The picture of your "handyman" is great!!
I love this post , warm , colorful, full of life and hope ...reminds me of Victor Hugo's thought " Winter is on my head , but eternal SPRING is in my heart "
Enjoy your days !
Hugs
Ahhh, that is one soft sofa...I am afraid if I sink into it, I shall NEVER leave...you would be stuck with me...I would love that. I just read the beautiful note you sent me early this morning and as I smile and giggle, my sweet husband looked up from "his" p.c. and asks "is that YOUR Anita?"...Ahhh, yes, you warm my heart dearest. I went on to explain that, It is almost like you live just next door and we talk "over the fence" daily... Heaven :)
Oh what a VERY L O N G day dearest, I am so tired. I SO need to do a new post, but there are just not enough hours in the day.
Tomorrow, I will take in an early service( can hardly wait...come with me and we'll sit together :) )
Then it will be a few hours of painting bliss. I shall hopefully finish this big old table, so I can get on to shining up these old chandies....oh, dearest, it is never ending.
Will you get a chance to put your pretty feet up and relax for a few hours this weekend? Oh, I hope so :) you cram so MANY hours into each day, I don't know how you do it.
My sweet husband has just plunked a bowl of popcorn in my lap, I think it's "Movie Time"...Have a Blessed Sunday, dear friend...HUGS...Rosie
Welcoming gray!!!
I am bit by bit adding stone gray with a natural driftwood tone to it.
I want to design a gray world one filled with soft beauty.
Thank you Anita for inspiring a heart filled with gray!
Je rêve en gris, tout n'est pas noir et blanc. Anita vous m'étonnez avec votre vision de gris.

Oh such lovely images my friend.Yes!.. let's celebrate the fact that Spring is at our doorstep.
Hope your day was filled with some fun and not all work! I will be thinking of you my dear....
Hugs and love...I am off to bed..I feel a cold coming on and I am so hoping a good sleep will keep it away.
xoxoxoox
Every post of yours takes me on a beautiful journey Anita.
I love your thoughts and dreams and the photos just "take us there".
Cant wait for spring and thank you for opening this wonderous season to us!
I still love your header so much!
Have a blessed Sunday sweet friend...
Deborah xoxo
Your Grace,
you never disappoint with your beautiful posts and your gorgeous pictures...but I fear you may have got it all wrong.(!!!) As we are actually eagerly awaiting Autumn and in particular, Winter!!
Hehehehe. Here in the heat of a fading Summer, we are indeed in dire need of a cooling change of weather. Yes, I realise that you do live UP there and are really lucky to have SPRING just around your corner. Hope it is a true beauty for you all, after the shocking cold you have had to endure through your Winter. We on the other hand, need some of your cool winter temps.
What a truly wonderful world we live in, that we can so look forward to the changes in the seasons, and all the particular beauty and joys they each in their own way, bring to us.
Thankyou Anita, for reminding me of the joys of Spring.♥
Gray, dear Anita, is not

Gray is something between, not before, not after, just in.
I love gray! All its tones.

loved the post and pics!
happy sunday!
Rosa
Spring, sigh. We had just a teaser the other day and then the temperatures plummeted.
Your post is so beautiful. I always love coming here, wonderful words that lead to your story that are illustrated with such glorious images.
I got your beautiful card in the mail. I put my illustration on my easel so I can see it all the time. My family loves it and thinks that your artwork should be a huge success no matter what you decide to do. I think a stationery company would die for your work.
Well, happy Sunday.
Karen
Oh Anita, your pictures are always so delightful! Where DO you find them? Happy Sunday chere!
Anita...

This was a breath of fresh air. Thanks so much Anita

My sweeeet Anita....
As always....a yummy visual post.... I am crazy for the villa on the water. Oh, how happy I could be there... And, you always have such profound things to say....
And, whew............looking soooo forward to spring here. It's been SO darn cold. They say we're about two inches short on rain this year.... WHAT??? It's been raining constantly. I'm SICK of it!
Thanks for the well wishes to, my dear..... So hoping to feel better soon. I have things to do! :-)
xoxoxoxo
Spence
Anita how I adore the sunshine you share. \We are deep in winter here so I am all for sweet thoughts of spring.
I loved each image you shared- the color of that water is pure heaven and I adore the pretty beds all in a row.
Thank you for the positive thoughts and beauty you share. You are a sweet soul and I look forward to my visits here.
Have a beautiful week.
xo

PS.
I am going gray- I have been for years now...thank goodness for hair color to brighten my dull flocks!
Gray is so much prettier on a couch or a painted wall :-)
I'm chuckling about
being ON THE SHORES
OF SPRING, as I look
out at the piles of
snow and more drifting
down!! This was a very
delicious post, full of
heartfelt words and
heart-grabbing images.
Magic, my friend!!
xx Suzanne
I'm not going gray, I'm going for the silver, and I really like it.
And speaking of Spring, Oh joy! I spent this lovely warm day digging up wild Daffodils and daylillies which grow by the zillions along our stream bank. Then I carried them to several garden spots and dug into that rich black earth to bury the beautiful bulbs and tubers.I could smell the scent of Spring in the soil as I worked and it just made me feel so alive and happy. I had to keep reminding myself that it is the month of February, it doesn't seem so, here.
I adore romantic tents, that was my favorite photo for this post.Gypsy tents, english colony tents, enchanted woods tents,I'm a sucker for enchantment.Ikes!I never use the word sucker.
And I am counting on it Anita, to show signs of it soon. But alas, today doesn't give me a lot of hope. I am quite sure I will not see the grass here for another entire month, as we just had more snow today*sigh*
So I will hang onto 'your' Spring that you shared in this post. I am quite sure it will get me through.
sending hugs
Yoo Hoo!....Yoo Hoo!...Hey Anita Girl, Are you in there? I'm leaning over your pretty white fence, peeking in those brand new french doors, try to see if you are able to come out and play....so...can ya?
Oh your relaxing evening sounds so very fine. My favorite method of relaxation would have to be, curled up in front of the fireplace with the check list as follows:
#1...a VERY suspence filled book
#2... a delicious hot drink of either coffee, tea or cocoa
#3...a warm fuzzy blanket
and finally
#4...a little classical music for ambiance.
This is a rare treat, that is a welcome distraction from this crazy world that we live in.
Painting in my "happy place" is a close second...and that was what this weekend served up on a well polished silver platter.
Lots and Lots of white paint went into coating the old claw foot table today. Will flip her over and paint the top soon.
Tomorrow, will bring a trip to the big city again, to pick up goods for the shop...have a specialist appointment that I have waited many months for as well. Hoping they will give me a few answers.
Well dear one, it is time to wish you a good evening and send you a virtual hug...oh, and a wave from my side of the fence...sweet dreams...xoxox...Rosie
Comme promis je suis revenue me promener dans ton Paradis ...
J'aimerai sur le balcon fleuri, me pencher au dessus de la mer, respirer l'air salé et rire avec une amie de l'instant partagé ...
Bisous ma belle Anita ...

Dearest Anita, hope your weekend was wonderful! Haven't been able to visit this new and lovely post of yours yet, but enjoy it all the more today, for it brings JOY to my monday morning! Have been sooooo tired this weekend. Wanted to work on the card collection i'm preparing, but didn't do as much as i wanted to- Let's drink this elixir you're talking about today and think of spring. Isn't Hellen Mirren so pretty with her grey hair? I bet you are, too! See you soon. xox
Oh, did I need this. Thanks for the calm and the garden treats and tent. I blessed in you.
Oh, i looooooove gray, my dearest Anita and all the gorgeous images telling from spring!!!! Today we have a lot of snow here in Bavaria and it´s very cold, so i enjoy your lovely post with all my heart!!!!! Have a wonderful week,
Hugs Jade
Hi my friend....I am having a very slow start to my day...I am afraid that flu bug found me. Lucky today is my day off...hope to take it easy today. You my dear are playing in the snow again!!? As I sit here...I see a few flakes coming down here too.
A good day to stay inside. I am off to have a nap and if all goes well make a carrot cake for my Sydney...she has been asking for one for days.
Stay warm and cozy my sweet friend. xoxo
Oh Good Morning Anita Dearest...
What a beautiful share today. I love it. And did you say GREY? Well sweetie, I turned grey when I was 30. I have been coloring my hair every since. My grey is not pretty at all, but I will never be ready to turn grey. Blondes have more fun for me.
Now I love the bikes in the snow, and the bikes in the spring. And that pink one, oh be still my little heart. Could we ever have fun on one of these?
And yes open those french doors and let in the Spring breeze. I can smell it already. (Here in Phoenix, it smells like lemons, as my tree is positively full of them.)
Would love to have berries in a little tent in the yard. How fun would that be?
Oh you have taken me to so many fun places today. Yes Spring is brewing is it not?
Hope you got the day off today as well. We are off and I am doing a little catching up this morning. My dashboard disappeared basically. It is showing that I am not following any blogs, so I can't see when anyone posts a new post. I finally found google reader, so I am up and running a little. It is taking me awhile to get used to changes. Blogger stole my dashboard over a week ago now and nothing has came back up.
Have a glorious day sweet one. Many hugs and much love sweetie, Sherry
Oh I can't wait to see the green on the tree's and what this year will bring, it does seam like a long winter this year. I surpose its not, I think we live in the moment but that moment is one mighty big cold one!
Thoses photos are uplifting, and I have set my mind to take in every bit of blue sky days we have.
Thanks for reminding us that there is light at the end of the winter tunnel.
Jan x
George is flat out infront of the fire, the weekend has caught up with him
Love and Hugs from the both of us xxx
Hello dearest Anita! I hope you are well and have not been snowed in too much! We did not get as much as you, more rain and ice than the snow. I had to visit your blog again to find some happy thoughts for this dreary day. :) I hope you had a wonderful weekend and I think that I read somewhere that you had today off? If so I hope you got to enjoy it and rest. Have a beautiful day and each day we are getting closer and closer to Spring!
Dear Anita,
Just stopping by to wish you a beautiful week.
Came back for another look at your gorgeous photos too ~ the paradise destination and the French chateau look amazing.
Hugs
Carolyn
Hello Dear One,
Oh this is my quiet place. I will curl up on your soft sofa, and close my eyes, for just a few moments, and then we will chat. Such a LONG day. Did not get very good news today. Will drop in tomorrow...xoxo...R
Your pictures are breathtaking......your blog beautiful and your header one of my VERY favorites
oh anita enjoy the new season coming your way as autumn makes her presence felt more and more...i must remember your words to strive and thrive and deal with all the emotions that come with breaking my arm and not being able to do anything...love from a teary dzintra
Bonjour Anita!
Yes spring is definitely coming! Though it is still cold here, around the freezing point, but sunny, there are numerous signs that spring is coming. Yes a hopefull season indeed, but a tad busy too. When the sun stands low and shines into my home it reveals all things not so clean and immaculate, to say the least! I should have an old fashioned spring cleaning, but a blogger doesn't have time for that!! Have a lovely day, lieve vriendin, bisous, LiLi
Dear Anita ..... I drink a toast to you my friend full of hope and surprise for a beautiful new season! So gorgeous as always and I LOVE the survive and thrive .... so true! I am so happy to hear of your gorgeous renovations and I can't wait to see that twinkling chandelier!

Anita, did you get snow today!? That is probably unusual for where you live. I guess you are closer to Spring than I am, but it is for sure coming soon :) Tomorrow I'm leaving for the mountains and even more snow. But I'm hoping to bring back some amazing pictures :)

Oh, Anita, that gray sofa is divine! It would be the perfect spot for a couch picnic!
I am off from school this week. :) It is our winter break. I am very grateful for the time off as I have an annoying cold...achoo! My husband took the week off too, so we are trying to work on a few projects. I hope to paint what will become our guest room today. My brother will be visiting next month so that is the goal. Sending springtime thoughts your way!
Blessings!
Hi Anita,
Oh how I loved your spring post. And how I also need (yes, NEED, not want...) that gray tufted sofa in my own home. How beautiful! And the promise of spring is on its way. After Sunday and Monday, and 15 more inches of snow, it will come slowly, but I know it will one day get here and all my trees will be dressed up in their finest.
I adore that pictures of your home, and we just added onto our home also. It is a long process, and I am so glad to see the end of it. Enjoy your new addition. It looks lovely, and how I adore your front yard! Hurry spring!
Kate
I love the velvet sofa with the chippy white wood! Yes I can hear spring's footsteps getting closer. All of the seasonal garden nurseries open here March 1st! Woohoo!

Fine Bessot.
Oh sweet lady.....I've been GRAY for quite some time!! LOL LOL oops......I see you are talking about paint color. (O:

Hi there lovely lady,
I'm finally here(i've been trying to get here for sometime but, alas, i've been swamped with so much!) How are you? This post is such a visual treat! I can't wait for Spring and i just adore this swanky music in the background too:-). I hope you'll have a fabulous week my friend! XX
Oh. My. Goodness. If your photos were edible....the images you find delight my eyes to no end!
I have to apologize...you won my little t shirt giveaway oh so long ago, and I never finished it and got it mailed. :( in feel awful, I am so sorry! Will you forgive me? My sewing machine has not seen the light of day since I finished the baby's quilt last summer. Goodness.
Again, I just love these images. I am so glad you and my mom are such dear friends! Birds of a feather!
Blessings to you,
Megan
This post made me SMILE!!!!!!!!! Happy... Such HAPPY Colors & photos. THANK YOU for brightening my day. Charlene
Once again you've captivated my mind and imagination with your lovely words and images...
I think I'm the kind of girl who'd enjoy having gray hairs, I've always associated them with wisdom and experience.
Hi chère vriendin, warmest wishes for a lovely Thursday. My doors are open, though it is not that warm at all. A couple of birds is singing in my backyard, how I have missed that sound! Sending a bunch of beautiful whistling your way xxxxx
Dear Anita, then we have the same climate!!! The snow usually disappears in the end of March so I'm hoping and longing :) Wishing you a beautiful day!!! Kristin xxoo :)
Now is that mantel divine or what??
Gray can be so elegant, Anita,...in a dress, in a room, on a table.
(I'm way past gray on my head and all white. And it happened at age 38 too. :) So.....I did something my mother begged me to do years ago...color. Wish she was still here to see it. Why was I so stubborn? Looking so old before my time? And I'm a firm believer in aging gracefully too. Oh well.)
I surely hope "real" color, spring, green, flowers and all good things appear outside your window soon! You've had a long winter up north!

Hi there, well I was able to get on some blogs this morning, so I am stopping by to say hello here.
Sun Snow Sand Ocean ~ what a combination we are experiencing!!!
Dazzle is snuggled up next to me on this little love seat as we look out upon the snowy beach.
Love coming by and seeing your beautiful visions of beauty,
Violet
Just a note from you musical and otherwise is a grand thing. Thanks for all you give! You are the best! Blessings.
Hello my lovely friend,
Thank you for your kind words! I'm feeling much better. My dog is always sitting on my side when I'm sculpting. He took my glasses today and run around the table, that's his way to ask for play with me lol. They feel when you are not well or feel sad. Dogs are so clever!!
Hugs,
Liliane
We enjoy those last winter days; well at last in my mind last days!
Spring is very much on my wish list and coming home from this skiing trip I will want to prepare for warmer days to come! YOUR lovely post made me yearn for it even more!
Lets keep spring in our hearts to make it ready for spring's arrival!
Hope you are making last adjustments on your home.... can't wait to see!!!
xoxo Victoria
How many ways can I say it? You are magic! I leave here smiling every time!

You are so lovely, both inside and out. Your uplifting words of support and love bring a smile back to this tired face. Thank you my sweet.
You really do have the best job...your baby birds are so hungry for the skillful mentoring you so generously give. Ah, they love and adore their "hero".
Today was a day of shopping (the last BIG shop), and I finished lining the drawers of those dressers (ahhhh...they are so very pretty). Tomorrow NEEDS to be a house cleaning day, as my son is popping home for the weekend. I can't wait...may even create a "cherry cheesecake" for my men.
Oh dearest, thank you for your love...may you enjoy a JOYfilled Friday overflowing with giggles, smiles and much laughter...xoxoxo...Rosie

Anita-
When I come to your blog I feel rested and refreshed. It doesn't ask me to DO or BE anything. It doesn't make me feel like I am less because I am not as accomplished in this area or that.
It makes me rest. Makes me dream.
:)
As for my Italy post, I had uploaded a picture from my iPad and when I viewed it online, it was tiny. So I deleted it and plan to do it from my actual computer so my photo isn't grainy.
But for now you can come over and read about blood and guts. Hehe. Joking. Kind of. ;)
I hope your day is sparkly!
Love,
Megan
I am just dropping off a piece of "cherry cheesecake with a BIG dollop of whip cream" nestled on top.
The appropriate boxes on my little "to do" list are all checked off, and my baby is pulling up to the house...
let the JOY commence...and may you share in it as well. Oh dearest, have a HAPPY heart...I sure do today...hugs Rosie
Hi Anita,
Just popping by to wish you a smashing weekend. Thank you for your visits and comments this week. They always make my day:-). XX
All I can say is what would I do without your encouraging notes!?
Thank you for being such a sweet friend...I know I say that often but I so mean it. I will be heading your way next Fall again...and NOTHING will keep me from getting together with you!
So sorry to hear that you are not feeling well...I am still not 100%..and miss syd has it now too...so will be a very low key weekend.
I think this is Gods way of telling us we can't do everything...slow down...so it is good you are listening tonight and get tucked in early.
Sleep well sweet one. oxxoo
Right now I am looking at your sweet Valentine's card and smiling. ooooxoxxxx Thanks again for such JOY. xoxo
Anita, Dear friend...
The sofa in chocolate brown with the grays sounds divine!!
It reminds me of ex-model now business women designer Tracy Porter with her design book with her own sofa being a chocolate brown sofa with all the driftwood tones and aged flea market style! I was in love with her style.
I know it is going to look divine in your home. The little found inspired gray table sounds wonderful can't wait to see it.
The simple gold framed picture over the table is perfectly stealing my heart:)
I am in the biggest excitement to see all your simple beauty, and you will be an inspiration to all.
Thank you my friend for your biggest effort in spreading your encouragement to us while having such a job going on around you! You amaze me with all that you inspire.
Vous êtes une belle âme, la création d'une belle âme dans votre maison.
xx
Dore
We are going gray but we are still young at heart :)
Going gray for me has a different meaning...More of a mature and wise view. :)
