Borrowed Words

From the brilliant and observant mind of

"We write to taste life twice...

in the moment

and in retrospect."

"The role of the writer is not to say what

we can all say

but what

we are unable to say."

Each friend represents a world in us

a world possibly not born

until they arrive

and it is only by this meeting that a new world it born."

I am off to savor the new worlds that

YOU my friends

have opened up to me.

I will be back soon.

Anita

And please visit Tuesdai Noelle's post here to see an interview she gave me last week. Merci, Tuesdai Noelle!

This is so beautiful Anita! I'm a big fan of Anaiis Nin, when i was about 16 i discovered her diaries and read them all. She was such a poetic writer and observer of beauty, life and the himan mind and i feel, like i'm related to her. The quote about friendship is one of my favorites as well. So precious the friends we have - i'm grateful to know you! Cheers to a wonderful weekend!

Your posts always inspire me to think and ponder life, friendships and my relationships, and make me do some self reflection. Your pictures are so beautifull, those of the children to me, the most powerful. Anyone who calls you a friend is blessed and I consider myself one of the lucky ones, for though I have never met you, you are a kindred spirit whose kindness and warmth transcend the computer screens and miles that separate us.
Thanks Anita, for being who you are, because you are a gift.

Anita,

I read your comments today and I am so happy that you went out today and enjoyed a nice drive. There is nothing that quiets the mind like a solitary drive. I think that your dedication to your craft is so admirable. I am in awe of your writing, and your drawing and the photos and your harp playing, you are a Renaissance woman. Your talent to convey such heartfelt words has clearly touched so many people, as evidenced in the comments people leave, and I have to tell you that that is powerful thing. To have the ability to write such wonderful poetry that touches and moves people on a daily basis, what a gift!

You keep doing whatever you are doing because clearly you are doing it well!

On a lighter note, Sarlat is one of my most favorite places in the world! I have spent over 24 years going back and forth to France, visiting friends, seeing the sights, going to school and eating many pastries, unfortunately my French never progressed beyond a high school level, partly from laziness and also insecurities. Not to mention the fact that all of my friends either spoke English or wanted to learn English. In fact I am headed back this winter, it is my favorite time to go.

Your dedication to your writing has inspired me to stop being lazy and make a commitment to improve my French for my upcoming trip.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy the waning days of summer, take it all in and savor it.

Elizabeth

Hi Anita,
I hope that you are feeling better, and that your back pain is gone.

What a great song, I don't believe I remember this one. Words, they are so powerful. I was feeling so down about my husband's condition, and my daughter Ashley came into the family room. She started telling me such wonderful compliments and the way she felt about me as a mother. It was like someone had pumped oxygen into my spirit. I have felt wonderful ever since.

Words, they can set us free or hurt our soul. They can encourage us to climb mountains or hide from the world.

Happy Monday.

Hello! Happy Monday! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend! I am sure that with this being the first of August you are counting each precious day off until school starts. I hope that you make them each as special as you are!

I have explored your writing, and your other work and I am fascinated by your imagination and writing. It is so beautiful, and I love your little puppet theater with the little pixie/fairy. Have you been published? Have you looked into that? This week in LA is an industry conference for the publishing world, perhaps soon you will find yourself there with your wonderful work.

I myself always wanted to write historical fiction, I use to dream about it and talk with a friend that I was in my Master's classes with. In order to alleviate some of the stress of studying International Relations, and Political Science we would read historical romances and we were sure that one day we would write some. In fact when I went on to study at the University of Chicago I attended classes at the "Little Red School House" which is their writing program. I learned a wealth of things there. But those are tales for another day.

As for Sarlat, yes I have been and enjoyed it, and to Rocamadour, although I did not climb to the top on my knees.

I have been very fortunate to visit many areas of France and am grateful for the experience.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I have already been practicing my French, thank you for the encouragement.

Have a wonderful day! Elizabeth

Thank you for visiting me on my blog, Anita.
Well, today was a good day to come to your relaxing, thought provoking post. The colors always refresh my inner being. I love your whimsical theater!
Other than the fact that the stock market is at another all time low since October 2008, and my husbands 95 year old mother is in a coma state waiting to leave this life in a very short time, it's one of those kinds of days where the only thing that is eternal and unchanging is God's comfort to our hearts in times like these.
May you have a very blessed day!

Hello, my sweet Anita, thank you so much, for your lovely words!!! Hope, my English is good enough to answer some of your questions ;))! All pictures from inside are made in my house. And the house outside and the garden, that´s where my son and his familiy are living - we have been there last weekend. That house has been a very old abbey!! And on the last 3 pictures of my post you can see, what my son has made at the church, where he is working......don´t know the words in English!!!! And about Sheila i told, that i only use untoxic colours for painting the walls ;)!!! Hope, i could tell a little bit!!!

Big Hugs, Jade

Sweet Anita,
I left a comment earlier about your beautiful torquoise post, but I wanted to let you know about the "Pink Post" I did today. Pink sings to my heart. You always have posts about different COLORS (which I love), and I think you might enjoy this one. Have a beautiful weekend, my dear, and I hope you spend special time with the ones you love. That is what life is all about, isnt' it?

Hi Anita!
Oh it's been a long week! I left last Friday and just returned Wednesday night from my father's. He is such a sweetie and I couldn't leave him with a failing refrigerator in this summer weather. So much to do ~ unpack the old, {thank God he had a spare little freezer that we filled in the interim} shop for a new fridge and then wait for delivery.
I helped him around the house and we enjoyed lots of little meals together.
I don't like saying goodbye to him these days and wish I could kidnap him and make him stay here with us.

Your post is so poignant, Anita. I love the quotes of Anaïs Nin ~ what a talented writer and so deeply thoughtful. She touches the soul with her words.
You have also found a way into our hearts with your words and beautiful images.
Thank you for being out here, Anita
~happy weekend to you~
♥ Maria
ps. I hope you are enjoying cooler weather... and lots of lovely summer moments ~

Hey Dearest Friend, I'm still jet lagged from my trip home from Canada. Pics still unedited to my hearts dismay. Slowly regaining my footing and my workload at the bank piled sky high unfortunately. I couldn't sleep and so got up to enjoy some blog visits ~ and you were one of the first on my list to seek after.

As always, your words are like a soothing balm to my heart and soul..and the pics you selected to share fit perfectly with the message. God is so GOOD "All" the time; ALL the time GOD is Good~

Hugs from GA today my friend! Hoping to post soon about my Summer Breeze adventure...posting my Top Ten Summer Breeze Moments.

Have a beautiful day! ;)

Your poetry takes my breath away! You have such a talent for putting words and pictures together Anita. You inspire and encourage, I should have known you were a teacher. I'm grateful to know that you've used your God given talents as God had intended with children. Now we get to reap those benefits too.

Isn't it amazing where I lives take us. Where we came from when we look back down the path traveled over a lifetime. I don't know your past but it looks like your time to shine is definately here!

I happy to get to know you and look forward to following you and becoming friends.

Your blog made my day a little better. Hugs...Tracy :)
