  30. I've been thinking of you all week as you "dive into" the school year. Our local teachers went on strike yesterday so we are not sure if school will open on Tuesday or not.

Summer is still ticking in the Pacific Northwest and I refuse to let it go! There are small signs of autumn coming but not many, a leaf here or there but 80 degree weather expected still for the next 10 days.

  50. When I was four years old, I couldn't wait to be in kindergarten...then I couldn't wait to be on the big play ground with the first graders, then, I couldn't wait to be on the even larger playground with the 4th graders on up. In sixth grade, I was already thinking of what it would be like to be out of school and married. I had my dreams of being married to a man who drove a convertible, and I wanted two children. Then I became saved at eleven years old, and my next adventure was going to be a long distance one and that was finally being in Heaven! And life goes on, and the years roll by, and everything is precious, every tiny bit has a purpose and meaning to it. Children are precious and they have dreams, even at very young ages. I did get married, with a man who has owned 100 cars (not all at once!) some of them convertibles, and I doubled the size of my family to four children...but I am still waiting for the icing on the cake...Heaven!
May you have a beautiful year ahead of you teaching the precious souls of children.
    love, and hugs,
    Teresa in California

And now you are back with your children and they will have our dear Anita to love and delight in, just like we do. But we do understand how it is with schoolteachers, and how busy you will be. Don't worry. We will be here whenever you can come out to play.
    Love to you,

And many thanks for your lovely comment over at my blog. It means more than you know, or you probably do, but it's so nice knowing someone's looking, reading and appreciating.

  117. Hello Anita,

Thanks for your sweet comments. We are in the last stages of moving. I will be SO glad when we're completely in our new place. Rob has hired some movers to do the really heavy lifting on Saturday. He had shoulder surgery a little of 2 months ago...and he has been already lifting more than he should. Ugh...but, what can I say? I've already said it to him! haha...Men! :)

I hope you are having a fabulous first week of school! You've got one more day and then the weekend! Yay! I hope you find some time to rest and write and create some art. Have a beautiful day, my friend.

    Love,
    Heidi

Time Worn Interiors blog is having a 'Name that Shop' contest. And I thought of you because the owner wants a French name for her shop which is in Texas and is giving away a gift for the winner! I thought you would be a good one for naming a shop in French. She just posted the contest today!

  129. You sweet girl, you! How dear to my heart YOU have become! What an InCreDibLe summer! Thank you for "getting" me ...all the silly little things I love, I'm glad you love, too. Staying a child at heart makes for the best kind of grown-up, don't you think?we're the ones that have the most fun and keep a smile on our faces..for we have found joy..joy in all God's creations...in the sweet little creatures He puts at our doorsteps, windows, and gardens, knowing we will love their visits...and joy in finding our creative outlets, whimsy, enchantment, the things that cause us to leap from our beds each morning...because we have missed them all the night long. We have found each other through God's amazing way of bringing kindreds together...how grateful I am for this gift of your friendship, your inspiring words, and your amazing spirit. What a blessing you are, dearest!
It is Friday...you have made it through this first week...now breathe this weekend...refresh and renewal time:)
Hugs and love to you, Ruben, Tearat and sweet Eliza, and all your enchanting little friends at rabbit hill...the prettiest cottage in all of Minnesota,

  138. It's an awesome thought Anita to know how many precious children are getting the opportunity of a lifetime to have a teacher of your character and quality of integrity and creativity teaching them the language that so many associate with L*O*V*E. :)

They are BLESSED! And I know they will bless you too! When the days are stressful in the classroom I want you to close your eyes and remember that YOU are their for a higher purpose and HE will continue to supply you with the strength and love to give even more of your heart to them! Just ask Him for a larger portion to give! ;)

    Love you friend!
    Your heart amazes me!
