Dearest,
As you know, Kenny Rankin is one of my all time favorite singers; and one of the few to take this great Paul McCartney song about the late MLK Jr and create an equally beautiful version. Many good memories associated with Kenny Rankin's music, you and me with feet firmly planted but always looking to fly. That will never get old.

Anita,
I am crying right now. I told you that I was nervous to light the candle at Nel's wedding but honored at the same time. And then I see this. Something clicked in my heart and my brain, and tears are flowing down my cheek. I am no longer afraid or nervous. It is what I'm supposed to do, and to do with love and blessings. I will be thinking of you when it is my turn to walk up the isle and light the candle for my daughter's wedding. You give me love, you give me hope, and you give me courage. I love you, sweet beautiful friend.

You feed me for what I have to do.

It's fierce.

For people asking me to create a garden.

Gardens are metaphor, spirit, political, personal, of the ages, and so much deeply more.

Where do I feed myself to do this?

Hi Anita and I thought Id stop by to say hello after being on a blog break for almost 2 weeks, and I hope you and your family are enjoying the now cooler weather for this pre-Fall.

Again really nice job with your blog make-over and I like the clean look to your web site, I have given my own blog a freshening and If i may say so I think it does not look too bad.

But then again I'm a little biased since I'm the one that did it, so I tried to give it a Fall feel since we are now entering this new season, and its my most favorite one of all! Richard

Finally I'm back. After a long work of painting in and outside of our house I took a long and nice vacantion. But I'm back home now and I need a lot to catch up in blogger land. I started sculpting again on my vacantion and made a few heads when I was sitting on the balcony with ocean vieuw, that gaves me a lot of inspiration.
I stood on the beach with only the ocean between our two continents. Have you not hear me your name yelling Anitaaaaaaaaaaa ;o)))

Anita, you have no idea how this ministers to my heart.

First of all, out of all the songs our son plays on his guitar, Blackbird is my favorite, and he knows how much it means to me. I dedicated it to my dad when he flew home and I have also made a special request of our son that one day when my spirit flies home, that he plays it in celebration too. Needless to say, there are no words, really.

Then your title...you will not believe it, but it is the central focus of my "Le Mysterieux Carnival" post and tag...SOAR. I had written the post weeks ago and I finished the tag last week, including the word soar on it. Amazing.

This, my friend, is once again a most precious sign to us that Grace listens to our faintest whispers and knows each and every desire of our heart.
Much love,
Marcia

Beautiful post, Anita....as always.
I expect nothing less from you.
That foggy, misty photo caught me.
And that red gown....oh my goodness me! Hope you are keeping well...and finding wonderful inspiration to create now that you are at home.
As you can see, I am back from my little sailing trip. We arrived home to a brand new computer...via my clever son-in-law, who connected everything up for us while we were away. Thing is, I have lost all of my past email addresses...so if you wouldn't mind dropping me a line sometime to give me your email address again, that would be great, thanks.
The trip on the boat gave me a lot of time to create in my mind only, so I sketched all my ideas down in a note book....NOW comes the time to actually bring them to life. I have spent the past few days busily sewing up a storm, and will try to release the first next phase of my Urchin Art Dolls on our Lilliput Loft Facebook within the next week.
Life is as crazy as ever, as I'm still caring for our Ellie three days a week. Next year will (hopefully)be less hectic for me.
Love to you♥

Are corsets cages? I have thought that they were worn to bend nature to your will! I guess it all depends on your point of view.

On a more serious note, whenever I see an animal caged or tied I cry a little inside. Animals and people should be free to fly and run, jump and play. Being lashed to anything is a terrible thing. We should all free as many spirits as we can.

Lovely as usual, Anita. The gowns are all so beautiful, but remind me the "cages" worn in years gone by were so tight, I cringe to think about it. So pleased we don't have to deal with it ourselves and these gowns give the look of a corset without really being squeezed into one.
Yes, we need to soar each day!

I can't stop commenting back to you sweet Anita. You have given me mountains of confidence in being a poet. I'm a poet? I'm a poet. I'm a POET!!! I AM. o my gawsh...o my. really? I'm always thinking creatively. I'm always thinking about design or accessories or jewelry and clothing but poetic verse is there too. I love music. I love all forms of music. I love writing in spaces and holding in others, which is poetic.

thank you sweet friend, Anita. I'm going to be away from my frustrating computer for a few days. I need the time to get my head straight. You know what is interesting? I had a husband die in 1991 and I wrote poems in a secret book to help me thru that time. My brother dies and suddenly I'm a poet again. But this time I'm going to continue writing poems and keeping my mind right there being more and more poetic. I will read Kooser's book that you suggested because the timing is perfect and perfect time should not be ignored. See you next week on Tuesday.

Anita what a treat seeing you post a few comments on my own blog the last week as I didn't expect to see you that much because I know your busy, and again I really like the changes that you have done to your own blog and wish you all the best from your transition from teaching to your business.

I'm sure that its a pretty big step to take and you may be somewhat nervous but I'm sure your going to be just fine, and doing what you would really like to do. We only get for the most part only one chance in this life of ours so its nice seeing someone making it happen for themselves.

I wish that Blogger would allow us hosts to make more changes to or own blogs like color and more layout options, I know if I could I would have done more extensive changes to my blog.

So we are somewhat limited to the changes that we can make unless maybe your a computer genus or something, and with your blog Anita you seem to have found that person I'm thinking.

Have a very nice first weekend of Fall and again Its always so very nice to see you and your insightful comments on Amish Stories. Your pal Richard
