Oh Anita,
I am finally the first to comment and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this post! I have always saw the beauty in contrasts... red and black, pink and silver, turquoise and white. There's something so dazzling about it. The pictures on here are amazing. The little girl with the tea cup made me laugh. Don't we all love to pretend sometimes? I think being unique is one of our greatest personality traits. Thank you for reminding me to always be myself and to SPARKLE. You shine inside and out, my dear friend. I will definately come back to see this precious post.

Evening beautiful Anita,
The girl with the tea cup is really good, you can get lost in her, infinity and beyond!
Mark Twain's quote and the one about not being able to start a new chapter if you still re read the old one is something I shall really focus on. Particularly the last one. So thank you.
By the way, I always read your comments out to my husband - he loves what you say. You have such soul and passion and he loves that you always cheer me up!!
Have a wonderful weekend and yes I listened to the music. Charming, a little haunting, melancholic yet uplifting....brilliant.

I think I love the images of the crystal drops the most. I'm not sure why, they seem so pure.

I hope you have a blessed weekend precious lady

Anita,

You are so right! To sparkle is to flash out of the dark! It's that compact burst of light that draws attention. A bit scary, but that's okay. If we aren't scared once in a while, we won't value taking that chance to SPARKLE!

YOU sparkle, Anita. And so does your blog design. I love it.

Thanks for always encouraging the rest of us! Have a wonderful Fall-sh weekend! Love the cool!

I think we ALL have some measure of sparkle within us.
You have to dust my sparkle off with all the country dust, but It's there.
No one wants to be the SAME ....how boring would that be. We are all different then each other...yet NOT BETTER then each other.
I loved Mark Twain's comment.
What a gift to realize within ourselves "why" we were born, and what exactly should I be doing with myself in this life.
one thing I DO KNOW
You sparkle Missy

I love, love, love this post Anita. Of course the music is wonderful, the images extraordinary and beautiful....but the words. They really hit home with me as Tim and I are at a place of new beginnings for a new chapter that will take us out of our comfort zone and into our destiny. It IS time to stand up, move out, start walking, and simply do it scared. Thanks for saying exactly what I needed to hear! Much love, Lisa

LOOOOOOOVE this Anita! It is perfection and ranks right at the top of one of my most favorite posts yet!! So poignant, on the money, empowering and wonderful. Love the Mark Twain quote...I am trying to incorporate a little more "sparkle" in my life lately..little things but reminders of how lucky we are to have a day of being healthy, happy surrounded by those we love. That alone is reason for celebration....love this message!!
Bravo to you...well done!

Hi beautiful Anita!!!!!!!
I LOVE this post!!!!!
The sayings are so inspiring!!!!! The photos, as always, are fabulous!!!!!
How was your weekend!!!!!! It's difficult to believe NFL football has started up again!!!!
I've been buying some vintage jackets & coats as autumn gets closer. I did buy a new black leather jacket with a cream shaggy fur collar.... Photos are in my current blog post. I was reading my fashion magazines and burgundy, red, & pale grey are the big colors for fall. Burgundy is the "black".... I'll always wear lots of black- it's a favorite but I do love burgundy & oxblood hues too.
Two of my dog have ear infections so we're rotating ear drop treatments & antibiotics. My little chihuahua runs when he sees me with Q-tips & the ear drops.
For some reason this year has been worse for our dogs for allergies and ear issues.
Autumn is my favorite time of year; it goes by way too fast!!!!
Hope you had a great weekend!!!!
Luv & Hugs!!!!!!

Hi beautiful Anita!!!!!!!
I forgot to tell you- I'm featured on the Bag Brag blog this week....
http://bagbrag.blogspot.com

I was so honored and thrilled they asked me to be a part of a blog feature they did... :-)

The weather has been cooler these past few days but is supposed to heat up again tomorrow....
I have been decorating for autumn and Halloween. When my mom was here we went to a fine antiques and decor shop. The style is Old World/French country....
They had these cool wide bright green silk ribbons with eyeball eyeball print embroidered on the ribbon for Halloween..... They had these cloth fake "hands"... I had them tie a bow around the hand and I placed the fake hand around a white serving dish displayed on the bakers rack in my kitchen.... it looks really cool.
Halloween is my favorite holiday!!!!!
Hope you have a wonderful Monday!!!!!!!
Luv & Hugs!!!!! :-)

"Be different and make a difference". Love that saying!

Years ago .... My son, Jason, was shopping with me... I saw some decorative apples and picked one up to put on my desk at school... Jason saw pears in the basket right next to the apples... He put the apple back on the shelf and put a pear in my hands and said, "Mom, dare to be different!"
I still have that pear on my desk and will always remember his wisdom!

Wishing you a blessed Sunday dear one...sounds like you had the perfect day yesterday. A 5 hour walk! Good for you! That will keep you in shape for sure.
Yes bought my home a gift yesterday...a huge old closet door made into a chalkboard...it is amazing! All chippy and worn with grey paint!
Hugs to you for a perfect day...off to make apple cake and later on prepare a big roast for our Sunday family dinner...xoxox

I can't think of anyone else in the blog world who 'sparkles' more than you my friend!

Your comments on my page were so right! Sometimes I feel dumb praying about such small things, but what is important to me may be small by another's standards, but big to me, and in the mix... I just pray about all of it, since my world is often consumed by the little things, and since God made me, He understands.
You are a treasure!

Anita...I adore the little pair of glittery red shoes. When I was growing up, I loved watching Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. It was SO fun catching up with you today. Keep the faith my friend...and follow the "light"!!! :) xoxo
