Que sommes-nous
excepté du désir ?
excepté de la beauté ?
La beauté d'un rêve ?

Voler sur les ailes
de lumière de neige
vers un pays caché
dans les profondeurs du coeur...

Se promener dans un jardin

et les roses planent comme des oiseaux...

Séjourner dans cet endroit magique
où la joie chante

Dear Anita,

Just read your post and came over to thank you for your always heart-warming comments and then I saw that fabulous photo. It is you, isn't it? Anita, you look stunning and what an amazing dress you are wearing! It really suits you! I am so glad you posted the photo, because now I know how you look like :-). Somehow it makes a difference for me, seeing who is the sweet lady, who writes all those beautiful posts and leaves those kind comments. It may sound strange, but if it is you, you look the way you write :-)

I am so happy to hear you enjoy taking photographs. Yes, I think you are right, part of what makes my photo's attractive, are the things I bought at flea markets and thrift stores. They create part of the 'atmosphere'. Hope you will be able to see it one day. Meanwhile you can start building your own collection :-)

Looking forward to see your photographs! Wishing you a wonderful summer too! Good luck on your beautiful 'Europe' link party. Hopefully I will be able to join next time.

Happy summer to you as well!

Madelief x

Almost forgot to mention what a beautiful tea set. Very 'Jane Austen' :-)

Hi Anita,
It's another beautiful party getting ready and planning is so much fun when it's a French holiday in Paris. I'm sadly not attending this time, I have so much here I am working on, and I'm a mess with painting my out dated cabinets that are in an oak stain to white. It's not a choice I would do if I could start fresh, but it will do for now. This small home can only handle so much, and white would be a good blend for the counter tile, I would much rather have a raw rustic finish to them but, the heavy glossy finish is way to much to deal with all that sanding that would take place. So my days are now painting to just add that French cottage feel.
Next time, you know how much I love your French parties.
Anita, your silver set is so beautiful, and that bottom picture of your sofa with the crown is so romantically French.

I will see you soon.

Is that little person sitting on the steps in Italy, you, my dear? I think so. I have been on my bed all day for Sat and Sun and I feel tremendously better but still not top notch. Bout 75 %. 100% would be that I am at my 'puter or hours and I am all over blog land spreading my little simple sequins where ever I go. Not expecting that til about mid September. I discovered the lump a week before Halloween. That is when I will probably feel great again. By then radiation will be done. I am behaving myself specifically during the next 7 weeks or chemo and it's symptoms. For DANG sure!
