Pass The Glitter, Please!

Crank up the music if you like sparkle...

Just as salt and pepper add distinction

a bit of romance

and the perfect touch to any meal

so does the right dash of glitter

add enchanting beauty to a faerie that I captured under glass

a crisp, crackling glimmer to your step

and magic to your imagination.

And who other than Tristan from Enchanted Revelry can cover us from head

to toe

in this most lavish of artists' embellishments?

However, what outshines even Tristan's perfect pinch of "SPARKLE, SHIMMER, GLIMMER, and GLEAM" to his artwork is his witty perspective on art and life and his ability to use some of the most outrageous vintage photographs to get his message across. Here are some of my favorite snapshots that have drawn from me a hearty guffaw early in the morning when I most enjoy visiting all of you wonderful bloggers.

So the next time you need to sprinkle a little flavor in your life

and want to add a dose of cheer to your step

hurl yourself over to Enchanted Revelry

and have a chat with Sir Tristan himself

and let him tell you to "Go out and make something beautiful!"

Anita, you're such a dear for featuring me on your blog today! And, a posting that is so filled with glitz, glitter and glamor - or, as I like to think of it, my world!

I just love your faery under glass (sounds like something on the special menu at a fantasy theme restaurant) - did you make it? Charming!

Again, thank you! OH! - I do want to add that the funny picture of me as Sir March is from Dollybelle's Peepshow - another very fun site created by a talented artist.

Oh Anita Sweetie...
Please forgive me, I am afraid with all of the stress from home I am behind on all of my writing.

2 weeks ago my SIL had a heart attack and she passed away, then this past Monday Teddy, my brother had his heart attack and it just seems so much stress has just pulled me down. Teddy is home and resting now, and I am trying to get back up and going again.

Thank you for popping over and asking, I so love to see you come. I will be getting back on track.

I adore this post about Sir Tristran. What an awesome job you did. I love it. He is just the biggest Teddy Bear ever. Love his stages, I know I will treasure mine forever.

I have always wanted some of that glitter, but have never seen it. So many bottles on the shelf, how fun is that? Love it.

Hope you and Ruben have a beautiful Sunday together. Sundays are fun, not so much stress of the week, most of the housework done, and can catch up on resting, maybe a few blogs.

Love ya sweetie. Country hugs and so much love...Sherry

Dear Anita, first of all: Your fairy is a-do-ra-ble ! I am a fan of "bling-bling" myself and tend to use too much, if there is a too much of sparklies and such. Ask my stitchers... I could snatch these little shoes right from your Blog. How lovely these are! Thank you too for the jaw-dropping photo of that lady with two cups on her bosom. That was the hoot! I showed it to my Love, who nearly fell backwards... kind regards, Martina

And by the way, I still want to do a little piece on my flamenco that you asked about so long ago. Unfortunately my computers are still down and I'm using a laptop. Some day.

Dearest Anita...Don't be sad...all you must do, is take a moment, scroll down your page, and read the loving notes, friends far and near have jotted. I only speak for myself when I say, sometimes life gets a bit crazy and the things we take pleasure in, may not be a priority for a time...take this opportunity to share your "joy" with someone new. If you can encourage just one person a day, that to me would be worth it.
With that said, you were one of the first encouraging comments I received when starting to blog...very, very special...so stop moping and get out there and share your passion...have a relaxing weekend.....love Rosie
P.S. I am working on getting that link thing going...will keep you informed.

Bonjour dear Anita,
first I must tell you how much I admire that you are a teacher! I constantly tell my children's teachers how much we appreciate them. I always enjoy helping in the classroom (and surprising the children with a speacial treat!).
It takes a very special person to want to reach out and help the 16 young boys that you mentioned. You often hear that it only takes one teacher to make a life-changing difference to a child. I believe you are THAT TEACHER! It breaks my heart when I see a young child that has become distant. I have no doubt that you are making an impact on them. I believe there is always hope.
I still remember my pre-school and first grade teacher and how much I loved them. It was so long ago but I remember like it was yesterday.
Wishing you a beautiful spring weekend.
xoxo, B
