is elegant
refined
hauntingly beautiful
and breathtaking
providing us with a bridge upon which we cross the waters of inspiration
from nature's hues
and nesting instincts
in order to make our homes a place of repose
and personal royal treatment.
As you slip into your comfortable slippers
and putter around your home, open the windows of reflection and savor the colors and the scents of the season
as I welcome you to step through my doorway into MY home in the next several weeks.
In the meantime, sit with me in the niche of the Yew at Much Marcle
and dream of what marvelous things await us on the other side of the door at the Yew at St. Edwards;
perhaps it will be a magical soirée in an enchanted garden of wisteria that will inspire us once again to create an atmosphere all our own.
Merci mille fois for coming to participate in our birthday party; I know that we ALL enjoyed our special celebrations and you were a huge part of making this a memorable birthday for us all!
Bisous à tous!

Bonjour dearest,
another breathtaking post ~ the stunning blue chaise that I have fallen for, the enchanted garden and lovely window filled with fleurs.
You are so very kind to ask about my shoulder. I am much better now. I must learn not to carry such heavy objects. I will keep Cobroxin in mind ~ thank you for the recommendation.
You are one talented lady, playing the harp, a french immersion teacher, a wonderful storyteller, etc... I'm certain you have many more talents. You simply amaze me!

WOW, Anita!
I don´t know where you can find such beautiful and magic pictures!!
They are always fantastic, as your comments.
Kss and good luck for this week
In my imagination, you and I walked across that bridge. We were playing follow the leader, and of course, you were leading. We passed the white squirrel and fed her whipped cream on a leaf.
I cannot wait to open the door of your home and walk in and see what treasures are roaming within my dear.
Staying on the sunny side of the street with you and walking hand and hand through life.
Hi Anita,
Oh, such beautiful images take me right into the imagination of things. Each photograph is so dreamy. You asked if my life has been blessed lately, and it surely has. I am so thankful that most recently God has given me such peace, and restored my health.
Thank you for asking, and I hope you have as dreamy a week as you have painted on this post for us.

Good Morning Dear Anita, It is so lovely to be near the water...any water...I'm sure your lakes are exquisite!...but there is no water in my future today as it is "market day" for the shop...and my list is long..have a glorious day...smile on Rosie

Anita, I just love how you've tied the 'nesting' theme into your two blogs! that was brilliant or accidental? lol
you are perfection!

Dear Anita,
how bad of me to forget your bday!
I had it penciled in in my wall calender but didn't have the time to look at it thise past week. I'm so sorry: would have wanted to be thee second to congratulate, right after your DH.
I really do not know where I have my day these days...should really put some order in my life and try and make it a little wee more regular.
I've adore each of your photos. so beautiful and inspiring. the eye of the white horse is soooooooo sweet and tender and that cute white squirrel must certainly be a rare one.
thank you for this wonderful post.
rita
so beautiful! nature is indeed awesome in every way as are you my dear friend.
i am so sorry i missed your birthday! feel awful about that. i hope to make up for that and my general slowness lately in responding to your delightful comments.
i got to see that film you mentioned 'hot fuzz' the other evening. it was brilliantly funny and to my surprise was filmed in our town! Wells, i actualy live in a village just outside of it along the road that much of the filming was made.
i later asked two of my sons if they had seen this film as one of them said it was his favourite film ever and that he felt really gutted that he was at uni in buckinghamshire when the filming was going on because his chums back in somerset had got to chat with the actors in the pub.
my other son said he saw the film in Wells cinema and found it really wierd walking out of the cinema at night into the streets were it had all been fimed.
amazing that i didn't know all this before am so glad you told me about it and i did smile about the peace lily :o) i am going to get a peace lily plant for my poor lad who missed all the action when he was at uni.
am going now to look at your revious posts, see you there....
Sheer beauty....loved every word and image...thanks for such a lovely gift today!
your sweet little peace bunny has three ears! it must be a fairy bunny :3
although they make out in hot fuzz that it is a village in gloucestershire it is actualy filmed in the city of Wells. seriously! it's tiny the size of a village but it has a catherdral, a very beautiful one. it's a pity i can't get there at the mo (due to the agoraphobia) otherwise i'd take some photographs for you. but you could google or wiki it, it's a fascinating place. my village in on the outskirts (about 15 minutes car journey). there is a moat surounding the cathedral inhabited by swans like the one in the film, on the moat side of the cathedral is a low bell that the swans ring to be fed by the monks.
thank you so much for all your very sweet comments, your words have warm my heart and are a great comfort to me. i am drinking tea as i speak, but have to sleep soon as my son keven is visiting me tomorrow and i need to prepare.
i did have something set up on my computer for international calls, it's not working at the moment and i need to to be as two of my children are abroad (in morocco). when it is fixed i will call you sometime. you are such a kind soul, you really are an angel. am so happy we bumped into each other. i think through Charli's mum, she's an angel too.
have a lovely...? wait what time of day is it where you are? well have a lovely day/night. i am sure we will have many more pg tips fuelled evenings to come, i must rustle up some gorgeous scones...it's clotted cream country here you know, lovely dolloped on a scone with homemade jam.
hugs xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxoxoxoxox

Hi Anita ~ It's me, AGAIN! I was SO happy to hear from you! The photos that you took are really lovely, as is your HOUSE! I want to know MORE about the house tour, as I will come for SURE if it is open to the public. Yes, I've seen black squirrels in our parts, but not the WHITE, which seem to be especially magical. The squirrel was my sorority mascot and I used to collect squirrel things.....until I had too many collections....I DO love so many pretty things and it's hard to settle on just one or two things to follow and collect. My e-mail is privetandholly@gmail.com. Perhaps you will mail me and let me know about the house tour? I'd LOVE to visit and to meet YOU!
xx P&H

Good Morning Anita Sweetie...
What a beautiful and exquisite post you have shared with us. I love it. I love the pink bedroom. Yes I could sleep there peacefully. How absolutely exquisite it is.
Love the critters you have shared, the soothing colors to enjoy and the images you have shared have my imagination working overtime. I thank you sweetie for such a peaceful post.
I cannot wait to see what you have to share behind your doors. I know it will be fabulous and creative as you are both.
I will be waiting sweetie. I am trying to get back to all of my blogs. I am afraid the cold I thought I had, is something worse. I am going to the Dr. on Friday. If it is not bronchitis, I fear it may be pneumonia trying to pounce on me. My chest has been very heavy, but as I have been off for a week, I have to finish this week. Time waits for no one.
Take care sweet friend. I love stopping in for my Castles Crowns and Cottages dose of medicine.
Country hugs sweetie and so much love, Sherry
G'morn, Anita ~ Your blog takes me away ... to enchanted lands, memories & moments of joys ... I so treasure these moments with you.

Good Morning Sweet Anita,
Thank you for your kind and cheery words of encouragement I feel much better this pretty Wednesday morning.Yup...this is a new day...so what is on the agenda this lovely day for you?...I think I might take the dog for a walk and may be hit a nursery or two. My fella and I are landscaping and I need to tell him what I want for trees. I think a few ornamental blossom trees {Like the wonderland you have created on your site}...am pretty sure I want an all white and green color scheme...we have a creek feature that will run through so thought I might like a few "weeping trees" around the edge...do you have any favorites?
Hope your having a "Wonderful Wednesday"...sending happy thoughts your way...love rosie
Dearest Anita, thank you so much for your wonderful comment last time. I know exactly what it's like to combine a full-time job and family life with making art AND blogging about it! People like us would need every week double - to be able to dive the creative ocean properly and bring up the pearls! All the more your posts are wonderful - for they offer sth. like a mini-vacation. Enjoy a wonderful evening of spring-sun and bird song, xx,M.
Oh my Goodness! What breathtaking photographs! I am an adorer of trees and will HAVE to find this book. Love the way you string photos and words together and your always-upbeat message. Can't wait to visit your abode. When? When? When? Thanks also for visiting me. It is such a joy to know your message is always waiting for me! Love and gratitude,

My room and my surroundings are more organized now, and so is my head :D
Dear you, I hope you are not so busy and tired now, have you had some rest?
Today I was at a job interview, and now I am just relaxing.... lovely!!! I will hopefully spend the rest of the day making some mini stuff for a swap and I am also trying to make something special for selling, either trough "Etsy" or at fairs. I love miniature fairs, the ambience and people are so special!!! I read in a comment about your trip to Paris? Eight weeks from now? Will that be around the 20 of June? Thats when the SIMP show in Paris take place!!

I just wanted to send a Happy Thought your way...must race to the shop...quick hug...thanks...Rosie
Dear Anita,
I must have misunderstood your answer in that comment.....o I am sorry for you not going to Paris, but visiting family can be a bliss too :D
The small items I am working on;
I wont be posting anything about them..I like it to be unique and not copied by anyone....it is not much yet, cause I haven't had time.... but I am getting there.
It is hard to come up with an unique idea when there are so many clever and talented people out there. At the same time, we learn and inspire each other...that's how this wonderful hobby evolves!!!
Of course you can have a sneak peak, but then I need another place to reach you with photos!!!
I hope you soon will experience some calm and inspiring days to let your ideas flow and come real...
Synnøve xx
Oh sweetie, I can't wait to step through that charmin' door into your world. Thanks for the elegantly written post. Ahhhh, I'm in my happy place now.....

dearest anita
i am just whizzing over here for a sec. as am very busy with our beltine/may day preparations, but i shall be along again to talk with you later.
i absolutely adore you and your magical blog too.
i knew that you had an angelic goddesssy kind of aura and knowing you can play the harp just confirms that in my mind all the more.
also when i first saw your photo i thought that you reminded me somewhat of enya. do you know enya? i love her and her music very much.
i have been slowly drafting a post that i will put up in a week or two that is about myself, as i have been 'tagged' and in that i have said that i love the violin, cello and harp and i think the harp truly is my favourite instrument. oh, how i wish i could hear you play!
the poem/song i wrote on my post today i imagined accompanied by the sound of the celtic harp.
not only is the sound of the harp so very lovely but it is also such an aestheticaly beautiful instrument.
the more i hear about you too the more feel that we are soulmates.
do have a lovely and magical may day's eve xxx
warmest hugs and blessings xxx

ps i once had a darling rat friend (now an angel rat) called 'scallywag' he was so beautiful and intelligent. your sweet illustrations brought him back to mind. i am sure i could feel his little rat wings fluttering as he read from my shoulder.
