You create legends
of iconic proportions
and of dimensions unimaginable
OH, flesh of mine.
The dawn of your appearance was like that of spring's
first kiss
and the budding promise of a life's-worth of
enchantment
that murmured the illusion that you would keep your
blush
and live forever.
Meanwhile, each hour is vigilantly keeping my time
YOUR time
in the sun,
on close watch.
and PAIN'S grip on your once graceful
form
form
brings you closer to the edge of flying away
and letting
ME
be
free as a bird.
Each day, I am breaking out of your delicate
shell
shell
as a new born cluster of wings
bursting through the cracks
bursting through the cracks
for
"We are not human beings having a
spiritual experience
but rather spiritual beings
having the human experience."

Bonjour Anita
What a beautiful and insightful post.. I love it, and you look gorgeous!
Enjoy your spring vacation, you are off to a great start.
Bisous!

Oh yes! Rejoice! Especially one day after having celebrated the Annunciation!
I love the gown under "Blush!" That is just a work of art. And how lovely of you to include Elizabeth Taylor in this poetic work of words and images which you put together so beautifully and which is special only to you, dear Anita!
Thank you so much for your lovely words about my little cat, Edward. I am just so thrilled - it's been such a long road for him. Tails are just so important for our animal friends - in ways we just never know - until they lose one!
Blessings for a lovely Spring Break!
Ann
Oh dear, what a beautiful message of hope. We are not getting older. We are getting closer to being free as a bird.
Beautiful, beautiful.

Dearest Anita: This poem is sublime!
I am so thankful to believe that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. In my particular case, this belief continually reminds me that time on this earth is limited and that I need to make the most of it (by being happy so those around me can be happy too).
A few of my friends seem to be so sad that they are losing their youth. I have to admit I'm not jumping up and down about my growing waist size and the new wrinkles on my face. Of course I would like to have my 20-year old body back. However, I wouldn't trade the wonderful years I've lived so far for the chance of being young again. I'm happy to be this age and to finally appreciate life to its fullest (to be, in one word, "free" to being ME).
Enjoy your week off, dear Anita.
Besos.
PS: I am doing a post on Monday that will feature that beautiful Valentino (or is it Versace?) dress. I guess it is true that great minds think alike :-)
AMEN my dearest Ruben. Are spirits are only growing young as they face the SON to shine His eternity into them. This body, it's on its way out! Let us remember that....
I truly LOVE this blog!!! Please join me at

Tes images sont d'une beauté incroyable mais ... la magicienne c'est TOI !!!
Merci de nous offrir cette part intacte d'un rêve inachevé ...
Mille bisous d'amitié

It's been a very reflective week with the death of a dear friend shattering my complacency, and spurring me on to actions that could help her family. Thankfully, I can know that she is now free as a bird--her faith was so strong. Your images and words were so soothing.
Thank you!
Perfect! Thank you for reminding me of that great quote by Teilhard de Chardin... so true~ xxVicki
Love it! Very inspiring and well said~Cheers Kim
O my what a post full of hope...just what i needed right now......is that you with the harp?? tell me???...i wish sometimes i could fly like a bird......than everything is easier for me........love hope and believe...that why we live......and sometimes dream to fly......xxx...xxx...xxx...heb een liefdevol goed weekend.....liefs Ria...

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all

Emily Dickinson
Beautiful as always Anita..what a hope we have!!
Much love,

Kusjes in jouw hart!!! Beijinhos no teu coracao!
You are so special!!!!
I agree with you 100%!
Even today I was thinking about this-the spirits we are and the sisters souls we have spread all over the world- and thank God for let me know some of them through internet.
If it was not for internet, probably I would never know you...and you make a difference in my life, Anita, believe me...
The most important indeed, it isn't the time, the place, the age or whatever, but the souls, the spirits we are...
Let's us fly in the wings of LOVE (the verb form as you say).
Besos!!! my dear one!
Have a lovely, lovely weekend!
Your posts almost don't need pictures...your words create just the right images in my mind.
m ^..^
As I sit here with the ostrich feather boa tickling my computer keys I am rejoicing with you at the prospect of one day being as free as a bird, when we take on our spiritual bodies and fly away from this present cage!!! Until then, I will probably keep decorating this cage, embellishing it, and the rooms where it abides : ) ~ with glitter!!!
Very beautiful and moving post.
~ Violet
Your words and photos are simply beautiful. How calming your post is. I would love to hear your beautiful harp music as you sit and play. Happy weekend to you...
Dearest Anita, i love this quote - it's very touching and allows to see things from a new and quite exiting angle! Also, i love the wonderful robes and costumes here - just marvellous. And you on your harp in that shimmery dress that fits you so well! I can look at these pix again and again! Have been working in the garden and then to town with my hubby and bought a bunch of polka-dot cups! It was still cold but fun. Now we enjoy a quiet evening in, which is what i love best when i'm a little tired, like i am! Have a fab sunday! xox
Hi Anita, what a grogeous post, it really made my day. Have a blissful Sunday, ciao!
Your blog posts are like a fabulous dream as you sleep in paradise! Have a wonderful weekend. Grace xoox
My goodness , you have quite a creative mind there Anita.
(kinda off the subject) Liz Taylor was my mom's most favorite actress. My but she loved her back in the day.
anyway, I liked "life's worth of enchantment".....reading your blog is certainly enchanting.
I'd like to think I could have a life's worth of enchantment.
Fly like a bird...expand, reach heights
and I have heard many times the quote by de Chardin.....we are indeed here having the Human experience, and the Lord just wants us to "soar" to the spiritual beings we really are.
that's what I think anyway.
you are the harp is a gorgeous gorgeous photo.
sending hugs your way
oh anita you have captured perfectly free as a bird..the gowns are just dreamy...you look dreamy...and you have reminded me with that verse that we indeed will soar...and a dreamy sunday for you...cheers, dzintra
oh, and another thought. I also think if we are FREE as a bird, then nothing is clipping our wings and tying us down, from our potential.
I know that, but don't always seem to incorporate that into MY life like I should.
But, I also know, my son, is now soaring high, and is FREE from the human experience that he found so very hard......
What a priceless picture of you with the harp! And all the while, as we are growing a little older, we have been given this life to enjoy by the very one who gave us life. Each day is a gift, the older I get, the more I know it!
Beautiful as always Anita my friend!
xo
Exquisite work! Cathy
Beautiful Anita! Each day is another chance to enjoy all the beauty that our Creator has given to us!
So nice to see you around my way, yes, I would like to talk!
Hope you are having a good weekend,
Mimi
Dear Anita
I love the analogy of flying.. I often sit and watch the birds a the shoreline.. dipping and weaving and simply enjoying gliding on the breeze.. I think we all have the urge to be free as a bird at times..
The images today are so beautiful.. I especially love all the bright bursts of floral colour amongst all those soft hues..
Have a lovely weekend my friend.. you and Ruben.. ciao xxxx Julie
ooops.. forgot to say I passed you and some other a Thank You award.. Mille Grazie!! ciao xxx Julie
A beatiful post and inspiring quote, dearest!
The photo of you is STUNNING.
Enjoy your spring break. I hope you will have pretty weather during that time. The plows just finished plowing our subdivision. Isn't that insane with the warm weather we had a few days ago? You know how this midwest weather can be!
Wishing you a beautiful rest of the weekend!

You beautiful girl you! I am always inspired by your heart and the words it sends out to the world through this beautiful blog.
I know that time passes and all of our beauty of face will fade...but the beauty of the heart will always remain.
sending hugs to you Anita...
Oh Anita dear...your writing ability is truly extraordinary. It takes me gently by the hand, and leads me on, into a mystical land of whimsy and wonderment. I am so very grateful for this gift that He has bestowed upon His child...and that you love us enough to share this incredible talent..."je vous remercie, mon cher ami".
Finally, my chandy is painted and re~dressed in her crystal gown...I took me ALL day to put her dress BACK on. I could not for the life of me, remember how I took these little jewels off. Still not sure if it's correct, but it looks pretty and I was tired :)
Oh my darling, your itinerary IS full, bu,t I KNOW you have to be kept both busy and inspired. Your beautiful, creative mind is ALWAYS working and needs to be fed constantly. It is good :)
Ahhh dear heart, thank you for this perfect cuppa you left on the counter for me...it was so delicious. Have a "Dreamy" Sunday with the love of your life. Hugs and kisses a plenty...
XOXOXO...Rosie
Dearest Anita
What an absolutely stunning post! That quote is divinity itself as we are both human and spiritual. You have given such a gorgeous reflective look at how so many people especially women fear growing older and yet they shouldn't be ..... it is one step to being free with who you are and confidant of your footprint on this earth! I was reading an article the other day when I was on a plane about Zelda Kaplan in New York City. She is one of the "main socialites" in the city and is at every party and her presence is much coveted. She is 94 years old!!!!! She looks amazing and her philosphy on life is incredible .... She says " I love not knowing what is going to happen .... tomorrow, this afternoon or in the next hour." She thrives on meeting new people and aging seems to have invigorated her rather than depleted her energies. I think this depth comes from a true belief in oneself and the greater picture for us all. It is not an end but merely a beginning .....
ps I forgot to say how gorgeous all your renovations are coming along and your settee is parfait!!!! I am so happy for you both..... enjoy!
This is beautiful..I am amazed everytime I visit you to see what you can do. Have a peaceful weekend.
YOU look beautiful with the harp, chère Anita. I would love love to take place in the audience and listen to you while playing the harp.
How is your lovely cottage doing? Is all the electricity done and are the renovations going as expected?
It is still early Sunday morning but I can see the sun peeping through the clouds. Another being-a-lot-outside-day has begun!
Have a relaxing and sweet Sunday, ma plus chère amie bisous
Rien n'est éternel, mais la beauté reste.
Tout est beauté quand on veut voir avec des yeux amoureux.
Bon week-end chère Anita.
Je t'embrasse.
Fine
I sometimes have the feeling that with age come lightness of spirit... like we are giant balloons tethered by dozens of ropes and weights. As we grow older and wiser we lose them... and rise up. The ropes and weights are prejudices, self-doubt, unreasonable expectations... we rise on the lightness of dreams, understanding and our spirits.
Lovely thoughts and images, lovely Anita. We are meant to fly.
Perfectly lovely post, Anita. Yes, our time here is so short and what's inside is of so much more value as we age. Gracefully, one hopes.
The photo of you is charming, just as I know you are.
Have a lovely Sunday, my dear friend!
YOU look adorably beautiful!!! Anita, dear, birds are free creatures and those who have real love in heart are free as well! Free to dream. Free to day dream. Free to smile. Free to live.
Freedom is our greatest right!
Love you, sweet.
Beijinhos para você!!
Bela
Bonjour Anita,
I LOVE that last quote. It is so true, and we all need to remember that. We're each on our own path, earth is just a temporary place.Beautiful images as always. You look radiant in that photograph btw! Enjoy your Spring Break and your beautiful new room! love deb xoxox
Oui, free as a bird... someday we will all be soaring together in paradise!!
Grosses bises, Sherry
Once again you touch my heart and mind with beautiful thought and visions. Have you every thought of putting them together in a book? xx susan
Anita,
Each post is like a window into your beautiful soul. And from the photo of you at your harp, the outward beauty is equally as stunning. Free as a bird, creativity does that, and certainly here int he land of Blog we find our wings. Thank you for using my little glittery bird.
Have a beautiful Sunday.
Karen
P.S. I wish I lived closeby, I would call you up to meet for coffee.
Hello dearest! What a beautiful post, to be free from limitations not only of this world but of ourselves. To soar above the clouds and play in the winds. I believe as well that we are spiritual beings living a human life and there is so much more to explore when the time is right. Your images are beautiful and you are beautiful my friend.
Thank you for your lovely words on my post and I hope that this week you will be able to set sail and explore some new and old dreams during your time. :)
Love and blessings to you.
You look very dreamy by your harp and beautiful.
I'm always dreaming mom say's my legs start twiching.
Enjoy your week and let your dreams take you to fun places
Love and Hugs George and Jan xxx
Afternoon sweet friend..I hope your holiday is off to a great start.
I did a silly thing this morning and hurt my back once again!!! So I am nursing it today...trying to ice it and praying it will be better tomorrow...the last thing I want is to have to change my weeks plans.
I did manage to do some baking today as standing always seems to help.
What are you up to today? Doesn't it feel good that tomorrow you don't have to head on into school?
Hugs for a great evening. xoxoxox
You are a vision of beauty, with that gorgeous harp of yours...I love each and every image that you served up on that shiny, frilly, platter...just delicious :) YUM!
Ahhh...well, had a lovely day shopping with my dear son...WHAT A SURPRISE...knock, knock, knock...RYAN! What are you doing HERE!!!! Turns out he needed a few clothes, and knew I needed a little outing. Oh my, what a FAST, but ever so wonderful day...and now, he is gone...again. :(
Spent the afternoon with another chandy, that I stripped of crystals today, so I could paint it tomorrow.
AND GUESS WHAT...Ry helped his Dad to hang this last chandy in my studio work room. AHHHHH...let there be light...and there was. So happy!
Will do a snappy (I PROMISE) of both Monique and this new chandy tomorrow.
I am so tired, but ever so happy that this day was so FULL of JOY.
Have a perfect day of creativity tomorrow, and enjoy each and every moment...love...Rosie
Oi, minha querida amiga!!!
That is soooo good to meet you!!
Oh, rest a lot, dear friend!!! Enjoy each minute you have!! I will be here thinking of you!!

Beautiful! I loved this post and finally the end quote "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience but rather spiritual beings having the human experience.". Perfect!
Good morning sweet friend....thank you for your early morning visit. I have no great news to report to you about my silly back. I am afraid it will damper my plans today..grrrr! Oh well nothing I can really do about it...so must get on my postive hat and think of all the fun things one can do with a sore back!
I hope your day is lovely my friend...is the sun shinning? Rain here today but that is a good thing...my garden is not calling me.
Do you have any plans for the week? A road trip? I think if I lived in your area I would always be in the car going somewhere...love love that area of yours..my husband is an explorer so we would always be going here and there.
Have a wonderful day my friend and thank you for checking up on me today. Hugs.
thank you again Anita for bringing a "gift" to all your readers.
It's like coming here and opening a beautiful wrapped package...once opened ,it touches our soul, something that stays with us and becomes part of us too...bringing us all together.
The song...perfect for this post, (love the Beatles music)
You are "Lovely"!!
Dear Anita , this is one of my favorite quotes ever ...I knew it - we are from "the same planet" , aren't we ...:) Great post ,simply timeless !
Dearest Anita, thank you for coming over for coffee - i thought that cookie in turquise paper would be for you! Hope you're having a marvellous monday, lazy, easy and fun! WOW....I needed that...this was AMAZING..........................!!!!!XOXO..
Hello, Anita
Yes! You found the right link for our Laurelwood home. And no, I know there is a Teresa Ferguson listed as one of the photographers, but, alas, it is not I! (Our last name is Swanson). Were you able to see the video, click on the bottom left photo and it's a slide show with Nat King Cole singing 'Unforgettable'
The people who owned it before us put it all together...very lovely.
Oh, and I was viewing your older posts and you love all of my favorite haunts in California...
Tail of the Yak, the older City of Orange with the antique shops.
We seriously honeymooned in Laguna Beach when we were married. It was a November day of 80 degrees! 35 years plus married.
Have a lovely week,
Ciao!
Teresa
Oh, Anita, we sure are spiritual beings which I am so grateful for! That dreamy day bird picture is sooo beautiful! Anita, I would love (I'm' thrilled actually) to have a Paris getaway party blog party for you in the summer :) :) Thanks again for your nice comment on my photos. You know they go straight into my heart! Thanks! And have a lovely new week!
xo
Bonjour plus chère Anita, are you having FUN? This first day of your NO-school week? I bet you are!
Enjoy every minute this entire week. I will try to make it a slow week ^_~
Yes, we are getting closer to being free. What we were truly created for. There are so many mysteries in this universe. I'm still pondering what Ruben has written.
Love you both!
Nancy
You know Anita, not many can see "enchantment" in the world, and because you do we can be reminded to pay attention to it!!
No wonder so many LOVE you!!
I think all who visit here shall feel like "Soaring" and Humming the beautiful Beatle "as a Bird" Song ;-)....I will.. ;-)
You really are a Treasure!!
Blessings Warmth and Hugs, Linnie
So beautiful, the harp image I adore and your words of course Anita!

Hi lovely Anita,
I keep scrolling up and down the page over and over to look at your beautiful picture-that is you, isn't it? Breathtaking! I love, love that quote too. How awesome it must be to be on spring break! We don't get spring break until almost late April. Enjoy every minute and soak up your lovely new room while you munch on some grapes:-). XX
The photo of you with your harp, sure looks like a 'Queen Anita', to me. Oh how I would love to hear you playing it. Do you think it is possible to video and then post something in your Castles Crowns and Cottages??
Your words and pictures are as usual, quite wonderful. It is terribly exciting to think about the next phase of our existance, in eternity with Him.
Our bodies here on this earthly plain, are indeed wonderfully created to do the job they were intended for. But, YES, lets not forget that they are ONLY temporary...and any aches and pains we gather as we travel this dirt road, are also only temporary.
I am reminded of a favourite verse...1Corinthians 2:9
Enjoy your Spring break, dear one.
Much love to you.
ps...I liked Rubens comment
Dearest Anita
I really love that quote... such a beautiful post dear friend, just had to come back to visit.. You are free as a bird this week! Spread your wings and enjoy your spring break.

Hello Anita
I left a coment in this post on Saturday, but I think it has not come. I liked so much your message of hope and the images that you have chosen.

Oh sweetie, I knew you were an angel on earth but the harp proves it!!! Yep, so true...our bodies may wrinkle and show wear and tear but that does not keep your spirits from soarin' high and livin' each day like it were our last!
What a wonderfully beautiful post once again. You are one of life's most beautiful treasures!!!
God bless and have a terrific Tuesday dear one!!! :o)
Anita, hope you're enjoying your day - being lazy is such a wonderful thing to do when we need it! Am feeling a bit "spring tired" at the moment - and so drawn to lie in the sun ... It was nice here today - i hope at your place as well! xox
Your Dutch is very good, Anita. Je Nederlands is erg goed, Anita. I bet you are enjoying every minute this week. Does the weather co-operate?

Hi, Anita! So glad you got the book and are enjoying it. Now I'm sure you understand why I said it "screamed Anita"... :)
Enjoy!
Sue
Hi Anita ~
Your photographs are so beautiful... The first and last ~ stunningly beautiful!
It must bring such calm and peace to play the harp. The music of the harp is among my favorite sounds.
I wish you many lovely days and evenings in your new room... We still find total relaxation in our sunroom resting in the warmth of the sun's rays pouring through the windows.
It DOES make us feel 'free as a bird.'
Have a wonderful week, Anita!

What a beautiful way to start my morning, and you Anita, look stunning on the harp!! Thanks for the insightful post...
What a wonderful thought...your wish for me to have a dreamy day. I love that. This post felt like a ride on a floating cloud experience. Fluffy, soft and warm just like you.
If you could ride on the back of a bird to the land of Enchantment what kind of bird would it be? I'll be the girl with the curl on the robin with all her little ones following behind.
So sad, I have to pay for blogger. Yikes, who would have thought we would need to do that? Trying to start a new blog instead on Word Press. Seems like I have a challenge in front of me.
Please tell Ruben I typed out a long comment on his post about religion and the dumb thing was lost...I'll try again when I have a minute for sure!
Love you honey bunch...will send email soon with an update!
Good Morning to you!
I wish I could sit with you today over a cup of tea! How fun would that be.
Glad to hear your feeling better...yes I so agree walking is the best! Sitting is a no no for sure. I hope that today I get out and about a bit...Sydney and I want to make a trip into this sweet little village..you would LOVE it. Filled with adorable sweet shops..old and new.
It will be good for my back which is still not feeling well.
Sending you my love for another grand day...hope you have something special in store.
xoxoxoxo

What a wonderful new friend and addition to Wit's End! Yes, I can see it.. Imagine the excitement for TEA RAT to have a pet ~friend~.
TOO MUCH FUN!
Enjoy your day dear one.
BISOUS!

First i LOVE the pic of your Grandmother "the drama queen". Is Grand mere Marie the same lady?
I told Karen Harvey Cox that indeed her art is beautiful, but her name sounds so beautiful in my little head when I say it.
I'm in a very reminiscent mind space today, not sure what it is. My head is full of faded memories like that pretty Audrey bicycle under that tree. Maybe the lack of sleep lately. I've had days of insomnia ; (
I could SOOOOO see you in that exquisite pale pink gown with the rosettes. OMG, stunning, like you Anita.
Oh I just glanced over to my right... WOW I must go see your studio lamp. LOVE IT... and you my friend.
It's nearly Thursday, then one more day at school for you. I'm off to the French side on Friday ; )
Love You
Love Me
xoxoxoxo
Darn, I thought I could click on your lamp pic... : (
Do you have it posted somewhere else? I LOVE IT.
xoxoxo
