Good morning lovely lady,
you are, amongst a few other ladies, on top of my list to pop by the minute I see in my blog roll you posted a new post. And again, it is a very very inspiring one accompanied by the loveliest images. Especially the last one is heavenly.
I must visit Irina as I do not know her blog yet.
Here's to a restful weekend with a few good talks and a lot of good coffees, sweet Anita xxx
Another brilliant post, Anita! I love the definition of a true friend. They aren't a dime a dozen and when we find one, we must treasure and nurture our friendship...
I've found as I've aged, that the oldest friends...the ones from school...are the ones I share the most with. They've known us forever, haven't they? I wish we lived closer. And then, I consider my sister a dear friend too. We talk nearly every day even though she is half a country away. We shared all the same experiences as children; a bond for certain.
Our blog friends are in another category...supportive and loving, but unfortunately, distanced.
I may never meet you, Anita, but you are a treasured friend!
How lovely you are so fortunate to meet that often.I do follow Irina.I was just visiting reading all about you. This is such a special thing two very close friends. We all need this in life but to have friends you have to be one,Im sure you so agree dear Anita.I enjoyed all the photos of Audrey in your post.Have a very blessed weekend my friend!
Dear Anita....good positive friends are better than a million diamonds.
Thank you for another happy post.
Have a great ,relaxing weekend. Ida OOOXXXX
Happy saturday Anita! Such a sweet post about friendship here today! Good friends are really the best thing in life and need to be celebrated! Will have a look at Irinas place now. It's chilly here, but friendly - i'm working a bit and enjoy the quietness and warmth! xox
How could truer words be spoken, friends are the family you chose. For all the silliness, Sex in the City showed the tribe of family that a group of woman can forge and they are much stronger together than the are alone. For many of us without family or with family far far away.... friends hold us up, keep us safe and help us find light in the darkness. Bravo!
OH Anita!
This is why I just ADORE you! Your words are simply beautiful...and this is why every single person that meets you FALLS IN LOVE with you INSTANTLY.
I just came from Irina's blog and she gave me goosebumps. What a beautiful tribute to a BEAUTIFUL person.
Your new header is absolutely gorgeous, by the way...but why wouldn't it be? You are an ARTIST!!! Everything you touch turns into a masterpiece!
We will SEE each other this weekend, my friend. :)
Sending huge hugs to you this morning, my wonderful friend...
Love to you,
Lisa xo
What are we without our friends? Friends, and the Love we share, are the essence of life! Beautiful post, Anita!
You know how to touch our hearts! :-) You have friendship wisdom! Je t'adore, ma chere amie!!!! :-))
Mille beijinhos!!!
SO TRUE!!! Friends ARE the family you choose! I could not agree more, I am very blessed to have several incredible great TRUE freinds and they are one of lifes most precious gifts. I love the saying about the 3 tears...that is so beautiful and poignant!
As only you ANITA can deliver...another winner of a post and a beautiful way to start my Saturday!!
Anita
A beautiful theme woven through your blog over the past two years is friendship. Each with your uplifting words that display the facets of friendship and pictures that always make me go "ooh...ahh!"
Irina is a loving, supportive, creative, caring, thoughtful, generous person and I am happy and grateful to call her friend.

Love the images in this post...and I love our friendship..and now I go visit Irina..:)
P.S the quote is from Albert Einstein
Beautiful and I love the new header. The quote about a friend catching the 2cnd + 3rd tear is so great! xo
Ma Chere,
Tu es vraiment extraordinaire.

Dearest Anita,
I have been thinking of you all week.
First, I love that sparkly, grey dress on your new header; it is sheer poetry!
Second, I have a tear in my eyes as that beautiful quote about true friends catching the third tear describes perfectly my best friend. I feel so fortunate to have such a friend although sometimes, despite it being woven into our everyday lives, it is frustrating that she should live in England and I in France. We all know how real life intervenes and prevents us from meeting up as much as we should fancy.
Yes, I have been thinking of you because in your last comment on my blog you seemed perplexed about how you should fit creative time into your busy, busy teacher's life. Now I am not prone to tantrums but there is one thing that really makes me stamp my feet is not having any time to create. Sometimes it just feels too hard to have ALL those ideas zinging around my head and so little time to put them into action. I also feel that TRUE creativity come from free time; not just one hour in the evening when you have absorbed all the strains of your day. Real art for me is free expression and free expression needs to be nourished by generous, gentle time.
Does that make sense to you?
Not easy although, naturally, I count my blessings and realise this may make me sound like a spoilt child.
I keep trying to reduce my expectations to preserve my sanity and stress levels. How do you cope?
With love,
Stephanie
Another perfect post. So entertaining but true. Just love your way with words and pictures. Fiona
Hi Anita,
Such a lovely post, the music, and words are so wonderful. I love the words about a true friend who sees the first tear, catches the second and stops the third.
I peeked over at your etsy blog, and I am in love with your tags.
I hope that you are enjoying this lovely weekend.
Karen
This is a beautiful tribute to friendship, and especially to Irina, How wonderful that you have found a kindred spirit that lives in your city!!!
I really like your new header ~ it is so pretty!!!! I quickly looked at Irina's blogs but did not have time to comment there yet as I've been unpacking from our trip and then that husband of mine says, "Come with me to...." and off I went (even after being in the car with him earlier today for over 4 hours!)
She had such lovely things to say about you, and I agree with every word!!!
Oh the beauty of friendship, pure

Dear Anita,
What a wonderful post for a Sunday morning and perfect sayings my friend!!!
Have a beautiful Sunday!
xx
Greet
Dearest Anita,
Mes enfants me donnent TELLEMENT de joie.... tellement.
I have seen your comments on a few of the blogs I follow. This morning I took the time to check out your blog. How beautiful. Something more than simple inspiration - I actually feel happier just looking at your work. I look forward to following you - I'm number 999.
Happy Sunday.
I am rich, dear Anita, as long as my friends are diamonds to me!!! You are a pure gem!!!
Love, Bela
Hello dear Anita

Wonderful! Friends are inspirational. You mention art, philosophy and poetry...sounds like a dream
Audrey Hepburn was such a rare beauty...a diamond in the rough. I was looking at the photo of the rain drops on the water and it must have been taken right as the rain drops struck the water, which is quite amazing as they all seem to be hitting the water at the same time. What I was noticing was when a water drop hits the water DEEPER after the first initial drop, the water drop turns into the shape of a crown...which someone once said shows the Creator's penmanship...His Crown, showing he is the King of all things. So, I was fascinated as to how fast the shutter must have been to NOT catch the CROWN in the rain drops.
I believe there was a Disney production years ago that showed raindrops turning into crowns. They did a slow motion film of the rain drops falling and turning into crowns. Since most of your photos were of tiara's and crowns, I thought it was fitting to mention it.
Ah, but the photos you find are always so inspiring and I sigh at the beauty that is captured in a moment of time. I can almost taste the aqua colored candy apples...they look so scrumptious!
May you, again, my dear, have an amazing week full of joy in little things.
And thank you for visiting my blog and viewing Laurewood...we are in Visalia an hour away from Fresno and an hour away from Bakersfield between the two cities.

Yes, yes, yes! Friends are like diamonds and can make us feel like royalty! We are having a rainy day here in Arkansas today, just what I needed to play catch up on all my favorite blogs... have a great week Anita!
Are those blue apples edible?. Richard from Amish Stories.
Truly, friends are the greatest treasures, greater than diamonds! Anita you are so gifted in your ability to communicate deeply and powerfully both in word and in image. It is so wonderful to have so many fabulous friends - much better than the old "pen pals" are our "blog pals".
Anita,
This post is absolutely beautiful!!! Friends are the diamonds in our tiaras:).
Blessings,
Kim
I think that "Blogger ate my homework" or at least ate my heartfelt comments to you. I waited patiently a day in order to be your 1000th follower - yay!
Anita, your outpouring of friendship to others, unselfish and pure, endears you to many. My mom always said that you have to "be" a friend to "have" a friend and you practice this daily. Your creativity in art and in delivering messages is a gift that you share. Merci.
I cannot imagine the number of people that you have enriched and blessed with the gift of language over the years and the ripple effect it has on others. I wish that I was close enough to have you wave the "fluency wand" over my head... that would work, right?
Best wishes to you, mon amie,
Genie
Beautiful.
I need a crown though.

Anita,
Thanks for your kind comments:). To answer your question, yes, this is my first published book. The novel is set in the Victorian era in the Lowcountry of SC. It is about a young woman born and raised to priveldge but her family holds a secret that could cost them everything, even their lives if discovered. I am currently working on the first edit which is taking a good deal of my time:). Thank you for asking. The story came from God and He has led me through the entire process so I am very excited. Do not just dream about publishing my dear friend-submit your work! You are blessed with so much talent! Share it with others and the place to begin is by taking the leap of Faith and submitting your work!
Blessings,
Kim

hello lovely - fab post as always! I'm off to have a cup of tea with my bf today - always makes me smile to spend time with her!
Now, those adorable elephants are not my makes. They are made by a wonderful girl called sarah - her blog is called Northfield Primatives. Alistair asked her to make those elephants for my birthday this year (one for each boy!) and the little mouse's tag says 'team B-C' which I love.
Anyway - hope your weeks is a good one!

(I imagine you dusting your house with a tiara on - please don't shatter my illusions!)
I am having a good day dearest, and sharing it with you - hope you are well and happy!

Sick of using words like "exquistite" and "stunning" to describe your blog posts, but oh my dear, this post is FAB!!!! Lush, as they say in my neck of the woods.
Lovely words, make me ponder over them for the rest of the day.

Would help if I had actually spelled "exquisite" correctly. Ho hum!!!

Lots of rain here this week...which means indoor recesses...not the best thing for students.
I will have to hunt down that blue candy apple recipe...it was so fun making the red ones.
Happy day to you. xoxoxo

Good Morning my dear,
I don't know if my emails are reaching you these past couple of days so I have come here to let you know I am thinking of you!
Just a quick note as we are getting ready to go for my dear husbands shoulder surgery this morning! We will be home by afternoon...
A beautiful peaceful respite here before my day begins, thank you!

Friends are so precious, you have made me think about who my true friends are, take care, Doreen x
Dearest Anita, what a full week this is for me - and so much computerwork! But it looks like i get everything done in time, and that cheers me up! How's your week going so far? Weekend round the corner - YAY! xx
Always a delight to come over to visit you in your 'Castles Crowns and Cottages'.(even those three words bring a smile to my face and warmth to my heart :)
I had dropped by earlier on and then skipped on over to have a peek at what Irina was all about. LOVE it when you find kindred spirits.
Anyway, I'm back again, this time to leave a comment, after savouring once again your prose and thoughts. You really DO own quite the MOST BEAUTIFUL TIARA....unlike any other.
"embedded with rare finds whose facets dance like raindrops of hope..."......that is just SO lovely a description...*happy sigh*
Keep up the wonderful magic, Anita.
♥
Bonjour my beautifu lAnita! i love coming here (you already know that!) to read your post and... the tons of comments you get... humm... I think you are really reaching into people’s heart and soul with your beautiful posts. maybe you are casting a spell on all of us?

(et oui, je suis francaise, et mon mari est Hollandais!)
Anita, I got a good chuckle off the comment you left me. How on earth did Ruben keep a secret that long??!! I could never. Sly devil, he really played that well.
Dearest Anita
Ah, yes...my doll...she is so magical...I had intended to make more, but then I had the care of my husband's invalid mother take precedence over my life for almost two years...so I had to set many things aside. I am now just getting my life back to normal. I adore marionettes!
And here I come to your site today and you are playing Enya...one of my most favorite musical artist. I used to listen to Donovan in the late 60's and I loved his music! Anything from the U.K.
Music takes me away to another world...
May you have a blessed rest of the day~
many smiles and joy to you today~
Teresa
Such an inspiring and beautiful post as usual Anita. It is so true that friends are like diamonds. I hope you are having a good week!
Carol
The longer I live, the more I value the friends who surround me. Worth more than silver, purer than gold--they are treasures each and every one. Love your thoughts in this post!
Hello, dearest, Anita
It sounds like you had a frantic evening! Sorry about your computer problems...that is not fun.
And yes, when I begin making my dolls again, I do want to sell them. They are such a joy to make! And they have their own personalities which take shape, and they become 'who they are'. And I know, since I have already made one doll, which they say, the first time to make anything is the hardest...it should be a lot more simple for me to sit down and make more. And Jane Des Rosier suggests making a few bodies at and time and the process goes much faster, as one doll is in one stage, you can go on to the next stage in the process with the other dolls.
I do have two favorite doll sites:
Du Buh Du Designs (with Christine Alvarado)...her dolls are to die for! She puts her dolls in her Etsy shop and poof! They are sold like that, in an instant! And then there are Black Eyed-suzie dolls with Sarah Faber (she was married to a rock and roll star in her past life) put has moved on years ago from that point...but her dolls are Gothic/Victorian Damsel in Distress style, which I did manage to 'capture' one of her dolls as it flowed through her Etsy shop.
I will definitely let you know when I begin creating my dolls again...and I hope it is soon!
(I think I would settle on a fair price of $75 per doll). I think that is a reasonable price and comparable to most of the doll makers who have 'studied' doll making in the Cloth and Clay doll ning site and have sold their dolls.
There is so much you can do with that one doll design. The designer of the doll (or the person who is buying the doll can request what they want on a doll)such as putting mohair on the head for hair, and dress her up anyway you want to. Mohair comes in all different colors...I even have a swag of aqua mohair! (or it may be wool roving, but it is aqua!)
I hope Friday is a more relaxing day for you.

Sweet, sweet Anita
I am so terribly sorry your email is dead. I almost emailed you yesterday, but decided to post here instead and I am so glad that I did.
I am excited for you in promoting your artwork. Your style is elegantly charming! Life gets crazy, doesn't it?
Yes, Du Buh Du Designs by Christine Alvarado are dolls you will swoon for. The are flawlessly beautiful.
The first time I found out about them was about three years ago when a tragedy hit Stephaine Clark and beautiful Morman woman with four children. She and her husband Christian were in a horrific single airplane accident, where the pilot died and they were burned extensively over their bodies. Christine Alvarado made a Nie-Nie doll (which is Stephanie's blog name). I mean, the doll looked exactly like Stephanie, as she herself was a flawless beauty.
Stephanie's blog is called The Nie-Nie diaries and I was already a follower of her blog for about a month before their plane crash, so I was in shock, as were thousands of people, and donations came pouring in for the cost of their recovery. Anyway, Stephanie and her beautiful husband and children have been an inspiration to so many with this hard trial they have been through. That was a little side track from Du Buh Du Designs and how I found Christine's beautiful dolls.
Romans 8:28 I believe God's children are every where, no matter what race, creed, or belief they are in, if they believe in Him, they are his. I have a very open mind about this, as God sees the hearts of people and there is freedom in believing God cares about everyone. This is such a freeing thought and raises the joy of knowing God doesn't judge or see things as man's limited ability does. God accepts all, as Christ died for the sins of the whole world, He is not willing that any should perish.
I think of what we post sometimes, and I want to be true in what I post, as I think there is so little time left before the world falls apart and to be able to touch one soul with truth would be incredible. That is what we are here for, to help others see the light.
Just some words that are always in my heart. I have been buying a lot of items on Etsy and I have been trying to stop buying so many things! It has almost become a fetish with me to buy doll related items. So, I told myself, every time I want to buy something, to pray instead. I felt that if I am buying things more than I am praying, it may stop me from buying so much and praying instead. I think this plan may work. I felt that if I could start praying as much as I was using valuable time up to buy things, that maybe it would get me to thinking more about others and situations that needed praying about. 'Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind' kind of thing. To focus on what I am here for and everything else will fall into place.
Have a lovely weekend, my dear, and I hope your email comes back to life.
love and hugs,
Teresa
Hello Anita,

Missing you, and I know you must be so frustrated about your email!
Can you start a new one elsewhere? I know many use gMail or HotMail.....
I've been fitting in a tiny amount of glittering but taking care of everything here while my husband recovers from his surgery is taking up most of my time.
Love you, have a good weekend my dear!

Dear girl, I am waiting for your new post, but my eyes are closing...I hope this doesn't mean that Blogger is being naughty again. I sent an email this a.m. but I doubt that you got it. Love and Bonsoirs,

So, can I sit in that little pink cottage by the lake, wearing a beautiful diamond crown and watch Audrey Hepburn movies all day? Please? You have taken my imagination to new places and I've run away!
Thanks...
