Oh Anita, aren't there just so many talented people! It's wonderful that you all share your gifts with others... {not to hide your talent under a bushel, but to let your light shine!}

I hope you had a wonderful and sweet Thanksgiving. Your dining table and dining room are so beautiful.

One of my blessings today was to walk arm in arm with my father around our neighborhood. It's been so long since we've done that. He's so concerned about his balance...
Chris and I were on either side of him and he went around the neighborhood completing the whole loop. ♥
Makes me smile just thinking of it.
The weather was ideal and he mentioned that after having opened our patio door. I just knew he was aching to walk out there!

Wishing you many joys dear ♥
God bless you always,
~Maria

Taking time to listen becomes more difficult this time of year, Anita. But also more important. Now that I'm older and don't have the rush of children, I can take the time to look and listen. I remember several years ago stopping in my tracks in the middle of a store to listen to some music they had playing. It gave me shivers. That's the year I discovered Mannheim Steamroller singing Silent Night. Still my favorite.

i have just visited 'Nowhere' where the most amusing conversation was being held between Tea Rat and Rattus concerning obituaries. those two really are a riot when they turn to talking on such matters and as i said in my comment are sure to live together.
thank you so much for your visit and kind words on my blog. i am feeling a bit grotty with the lupus these days unfortunately but i am sure that continuing visit you and the land of Nowhere i will remain in good cheer.

blessings to you and rats everywhere xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

i once had a dear little rat who went by the name of scallywag, he was a character i can tell you :3

morikomidori said...

ps. i meant to say (in my comment above) that Tea Rat and Rattus are sure to live 'forever' but i am also sure they will always live together too :3
i must tell you the tale of scallywag. it all began when he narrowly escaped being a snakes dinner. a friend of a friend kept a pet snake and popped this dear little rat inside it's tank. but i quickly popped dear little rat out again and put him in my pocket. from then on he became a sweet friend. we used to drink from the same cup (which horrified my mother) and eat from the same plate. he was very sociable, a real party animal. whenever i was invited to one he would go too and had a wonderful time dancing on peoples shoulders or their heads! we had such fun! :)

morikomidori said...

i think that you and Ruben are artists and writers extraordinaire and i long for the day that you produce books as it would be so magical to hold your creations in my hands as well as view them via the magic of internet (which was invented by clever rats :)

I wanted you to know I received the "Holiday Audrey Cards" and they are far more beautiful in person! The colors are stunning... and the way the snowflakes shimmer-- just beautiful!! The "Audrey Tags" are gorgeous (!!!) ...but now the problem is parting with these beauties. How can I possibly give them away? :)
Your designs are simply beautiful, Anita.
Thank you!

Hello my sweet sweet girl,
Ahhhh...I am looking forward to kicking back and relaxing...p.j.'s ALL day long :)
Your greeting cards are splendid!!!!
You must be soooo busy!
The desk is indeed, in need of earrings :) but she is quite pretty. I will pick up some silver library pulls tomorrow, on my way to pick up more goodies for the shop.
Spent the whole day, dusting cleaning, and redoing the shop...ready for another week. Started out with just a bit of book work and just snowballed.
How is your cold dear one? Are you feeling ANY better? I hope so...cause this IS our favorite season.
Mom is slowly getting her life back..still weak, but happier when I call.
No, no snow yet...well one evening we had a bit of white, but we were back to green the next day.
Well, I am off to bed...sweet dreams dear friend...xoxo...R

Awww! my friend don't stress, the words inside you are tucked away and waiting for that perfect topic that inspires your soul. Some times when we just move a piece of furniture in our home as I did with the door moving it from the kitchen to my small sitting room it inspired a story to tell.

Go MOVE something in your life and let the new order of things inspire the best from you.
Nothing should be forced, just let it play out and you will see.

Friday is fine with me, I better get writting and take pictures with that sad camera of mine, you see deary my camera does not inspire me at all and the photos it takes leaves me un-inspired LOL!! I am laughting now loudly!

So it is we will link our sites making mention of each other and the performances the satge creates will be in the eyes of the viewer.

If Friday is too soon then the following week will be fine, let me know in a day or two if you are inspired and the words are flowing.

a big French hug to you

Because of all the art and craft shows I attend each year, I get to see wonderful and unique handmade objects all the time. What I like about etsy, however, is that not every artist or craftsmen is able to travel around doing shows, but still has an outlet to sell their wonderful work. You have some fabulous artists listed above and I plan to visit each of their shops. Thanks for the list!

I am so amazed! We live in St. Anthony Park. We are probably no more than ten minutes from you! I always forget and tell people we live in Minneapolis because we are only a few blocks from 280 which is the border!
I have to say, I was so thrilled with your name. My mom was Anita and died when I was eighteen. I always wanted to name my daughter "Anita" but my sil named hers Anita first so Katie got her last name as a middle name, which is LaGrave. French! Did you see that we just took a trip down the Canal du Midi in a barge? A wonderful dream of ours. It was fantastic!
things are a bit chaotic with Jud's illness but I would love to connect sometime.

Good morning Anita,

I have been meaning to tell you that your Christmas cards are stunning and charming all rolled into one. I am sending my photograph ones out this year.

Soon, very soon I imagine you will be out for Christmas break. I can only imagine the wonder you will dream up. I know you must be looking towards the holiday season in your new home
makeover. I'm sure it will just sparkle!

Len will be decorating outside this weekend as he has a 3 day weekend. I have done the inside of our home, my gnomes never fail to delight me and friends and family that visit. My whole tree is gnomes and a few woodlawn critters and of course a snowman or two. I had fun decorating our lower restroom this year and did it in vintage santa. We have even decided to put a small tree in our bedroom this year. It makes you dream...of a white Christmas and all the charm of the season.

I'm doing great. I'm busy at the store. Decorated it too! The store has had a grand kick-off and we are doing well. I spend my time doing all the displays and now three days a week I'm out in the community marketing. Lots of fun for a girl with a few curls.

In the midst of it all, my first little grandbaby coming in May and Kara has bought her wedding dress. You would love it!

She is on Pinterest too (Kara Burgess) and you should take a peek at her wedding section, I have re-pinned some on mine too.

Love you, think of you all the time, hearts as one.

Your theatres need not have so much said about them they will be like a Christmas window display.
A piece of art that will inspire all as they did for me.

let me know how its coming, use pictures like the ones you sent me, they are as pretty and as inspiring as miss clara's are.

How have you been?
This has been a very sad week. A family friend passed away Wednesday night; he had colon cancer. He was 33 years old and had been married a very short time. None of the treatments were helping. He had been diagnosed 11 months ago. By the end he was in horrific pain. I am so glad he isn't suffering anymore. He was a really wonderful person; I have known him since he was born; I was 4 years old and our mothers taught at the same elementary school. I found a old photo of us sitting on a wagon. I was about 6 years old and he was 2 years old.
Life is so fragile! I am still having difficulty believing he is gone. It doesn't seem real!
Thinking of you and wish I lived closer to you!!!
Hugs!! Shannon

Hello, dearest Anita
I am still here! I tried leaving a comment yesterday evening but it must be my slow computer or something. I just noticed you have 1111 followers! Wow!
This post was lovely with you highlighting several wonderful gift areas online to shop at.
It was a very busy Thanksgiving time for us...one dinner at my brother's house here in town and another dinner at my husband's brother's house in the Sacramento area.
Have you seen the terrible devastation the winds have done to So. California? It's crazy! My 21 year old son is driving down there today to go visit the college he will begin attending in January. There is still a wind advisory in effect and lots of power outages...I am wondering if he will find the power out at the college in downtown Los Angeles?
That and street signal lights will be out too...quite a dangerous situation to be driving around. I do pray a lot!!!
Hope you are well.
lots of love and hugs,
Teresa in CA

Anita, I am now working on the post and I am going to load the photo's and get as much of it done as I can if all done tonight. I will then just save it and hit publish Saturday at your time.
If it shows todays date as the time of post and it is really posted a day later I am ok with that, I just do not want anything to go wrong with everything I have been dealing with going wrong these past days :)

so I will work as you are doing and I will publish in the Morn, if you publish tonight even if it is that wee hours then let me know and I will post as well :)
xoxo
Dore

PS. Still not sure waht I will do with the million photos I took to make sure I get enough to work with and what I will talk about yet...BUT its coming to me, its like Christmas morning and can't wait to open the gifts.

Burlap Luxe said...

PS. Have you come up with music or the soft Christmas that is on your list now, if so I will paly soft piano Christmas as well :)

I am not doing a nwe header due to time and this darn flu has me so down and its all I can do to get what I have already been working on.
see you soon over at my home where I create.

A Magical Whimsy said...

Hello, dearest Anita
We are fine here in Central Calif. but Los Angeles, mostly Hollywood, Pasadena, those areas had massive power outages,(350,000 homes and businesses without power over night)from the severe winds, LAX, two nights ago had the power out with twenty-eight flights stranded. You can imagine what that was like. In other states like Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah was actually the worst with 150 miles an hour winds, flipping semi trucks over and trees crashing onto cars in residential areas and some homes too. Very rare weather for L.A. And of course gusty winds through all of the passes like San Bernardino and I am sure the Mohave Desert, etc.
I know you have been pushing yourself with this time of year and all that transpires between teachers, students, and parents. Yes, do try to rest all you can during your winter vacation time.
(BTW, did I tell you my sister Rebecca has Lyme Disease? I think I did, please pray for her. It can be such a terrible ordeal to go through even with antibiotics. There is one lady on Jenny Doh's Crescendoh blog who talks about having Lyme Disease (see the blog's side bar with 'Readers Write')...it breaks my heart to see people have to suffer such devastating disabilities. And so many of them are sweet Christians suffering through their malady with peace and joy. What beautiful souls they are! Life can be so strange at times, and only God knows the whys and wherefores.
I am happy you have your beautiful blog to come to for relaxation...we all need that kindred spirit connection in the middle of daily life scenarios.
Be blessed and I can't believe it is Friday already!
love, and hugs~
Teresa in good ole CA
