Oh Dearest this is such perfect timing for me today. I had a setback in the painting but I know that tomorrow is a new day and i will try once again. I love how you put it and I will remember that. :)

Don't worry too much about the new following button, I think that GFC will be on blogger for a bit, but at least we will know of another way to follow if they do take it away from blogger.

Much love!!

What Shaw said .... I have kept that in my mind for most of my life. It is as true now as it was when I first heard it. It's a personal favorite.

We play, we go round and round until it feels right to share it. Not "good enough" –– that is so horribly negative and spirit quashing –– "right". I like that. When the world whispers 'yes', it's time to let it go.

I am good at child play. It is good to be "child-like" (not actually childish)
Free to imagine
Because they believe all is possible
and they don't judge
and they just say it how they see it
and they trust
sooooo many good attributes of a child. And they have FUN
(funny side note)
When I was married to my second husband...he was 15 years younger then me. I always told everyone it works because I act much younger then my age...and hubby acts older then his age.
(I know, my married life has been a bit of a circus, but LONG LONG story...I am not the flake it sounds like)

anyway, you gotta play, you gotta hope and believe
and dance in the rain barefoot

Yes, until we get it right... I think I finally have. I'm so happy with my life right now that I am cherishing every day I am alive! As I look out on Golden Pond the Mallards and the swans are drifting around and the sun coming up is making the dew glisten all around the pond. I am so blessed.

How have you been mon amie? It sounds like you have a great classroom experience this year. The peeks I've seen of your home are so wonderful. Love your little sofa with the draping... tres chic! You have a dream house.

Last week I painted my oval writing desk (antique black) and a second bookcase the sm color. (the bookcase was an enormous bargain used) and today I'm painting my mom's 6 legged table in antique linen and a black image of a french postcard on top. I'm in a Marie Antoinette Shoe swap and working on things for my new upcoming Etsy. Life is busy and good!

Interesting that you post about children. Riley turned 21 today and I'm feeling like I want the little boy that used to get so excited about this day. He still counts down the days and hours, but I miss all the presents and the hugs and the kids all gathered around the cake.
I did make him his cake, but he had to bring it to work and share it with his workmates. He's doing well, in love, and saving money... what's not to be happy about?? Motherhood I guess. I want the party hats again and all the wishes that come with my children's birthdays. I want to keep making them cakes till I'm 90. It's also my mom's birthday Friday. She would have been 93. I miss her. I truly miss her.

I am glad for you that you took a day off to rest. I noticed that Blogger has changed things around again and I do not like it at all. Their new format is annoying to say the least. I don't know why they change things around just because it is 2012, so they use that as an excuse to mess with our minds. I did have your blog badge on my sidebar, but after January 1st, something happened and it won't link back to your blog and then a pop up comes up and says 'castlescrownscottages' is not a valid blog and is available as a blog name, which we know is NOT true. So, I'm trying it again. Your ETSY link from my blog still works. So I don't know why the other is now void. Just letting you know in case you notice your blog link badge is missing from my side bar. I tried three times to get it to link back.
Hope you are doing well.
xoxo

The little girls picture was stolen from the mothers Flickr album FYI. It's not a stock image just a shot taken by her mommy and stolen and posted everywhere.. Her mom is in my mommy group.

My dear Anita,
I noticed a comment you made on sweet Francis' blog, "to give love no matter if we are teacher, mother, or friend, we are acting in the highest, more honorable role we can play." Right then, I thought to myself, Oh, this is it, she nailed it. I even wrote it down myself and will look at it on those difficult days. I just wanted to come over here and tell you how wonderful you are, Anita, on this special Wednesday afternoon.

Hi Anita,
What a beautiful message and I would like to think that such a mindset would keep one looking younger too:-). Inspiring as always. I go back to work next month and I am not looking forward to it at all. However, I will not ponder on such things, but instead enjoy the time i have with my two bundles of joy! Happy week and evening to you dear friend. xx

Good good morning, bon jeudi ma plus chere sweetest amie Anita. How is your week going so far, clicking heels down the school corridors, tons of warm comforting tea and a warm fluffy scarf to keep you warm? Hmm, on second thoughts my week almost sounds the same ;) Except for the clicking heels, I have been wearing my Dubarry's too many days now, not that lady like but oh so comfortable and warm and they keep me up instead of gliding sliding and falling, heehee
Have a glorious start to your Thursday, mijn lieve Anita xoxoxoxoxoxo mine is off to a glorious one already now that I came to visit with you xoxoxoxo

Yes Anita, Nowhere seems to be lost, but it still can be found.

My camera has broke and we are hitting a couple of bumps and potholes in the road through life right now. I have also had big computer problems posting etc...rethinking this whole race that feels like a rat race in life and wondering if going back to basics and more simple living is the answer. A quest for peace and more simple times. I have been writing letters and it's been pure joy. I'm striving for that, life is way to complicated at times and I know you know what I'm talking about because you often post "I'm late" I don't care if you are late but I do care if your heart is at peace.
Love you,
Jackie

Dear Anita,
This is just how I feel! As a child exploring and try, try, trying again with reckless abandon, to get it right!
Maybe I will, maybe I won't, ...
but the fun is in the trying!
Big hugs to you!

Hi Anita!
This is such a beautiful post! I love Enya's song ~ it's perfect as I stroll through and admire each photo you've search for and selected for your beautiful words.

The image of the dragon fly is amazing. I looked at it for the longest time. I'm now on the third listening of Enya's song! It really looks like a fairy!

The little girl's face is so precious!

I think all of us are now done with our mid-year assessments and grades. Oh it's so nice to start anew.
Wishing you a sweet Friday and a fabulous weekend!
Blessings always, ♥
Maria

Hello dear Anita! I am so sorry it has been so very long since I have come by. I haven't been doing anything with blogging except for a few posts in the past month. Oh what a month. How are you my friend?? How is work and your writing and art?

My work has overtaken my life so far this year, which I am trying very hard to find that balance. When I get a chance to "have that balance" and actually work on blogging or my own hobbies, then I am too tired to do so! Also, with any free time I get, I have been trying to spend as much time as I can with my grandma because some things haven't been going too well with her lately. It has been very hard because she is one of the most important people in my life.

I am very sorry for the amount of time that has passed. I have missed you and your inspiring words!

Sending much love your way. xoxo
