Dear Anita,
This is a lovely tribute to someone who is indeed a wonderfully bright light of love, kindness and friendship, and who has become dear to us both. Beautiful post.
Ruben
Hello Anita:
A friend who is so much part of oneself that one can barely see the join is one of life's greatest gifts. And, how thrilled your friend must be to have this most enchanting of tributes. Beautifully illustrated and charmingly accompanied by the music. In this ever changing and challenging world, the constancy of a good friend has never been more important.
O...what beauty in this post..the beauty of your soul...love you !
And the music ..and the squirrel..bravo..:-)
Hugs from all of us

This post is so gorgeous!! I am enjoying seeing you create all these beautiful headers...Once again I feel so proud of your technical abilities!! I LOVE that in French they say: "You are missing from me." Perhaps we were french in a past life, Antita! xoxo
Anita a deep post from you today, and I really like the birds flying at the end of this.
You express yourself so very well and most importantly your not afraid in doing so which to me is half the battle, So you communicate with ease to your readers and they understand you.
Before I forget Anita happy Birthday to your husband and if you should have a little time please stop by my own blog when I post Jeans post this Monday which is also her daughters birthday, and I have added a old fashioned chocolate cake recipe from an Amish style cook book for anyone who plans on making a cake for someone's upcoming Birthday or some occasion.
And maybe the next time if you like chocolate you can make this cake for someone special, and before I go you did a great job with this post and enjoy the now cooler Fall weather this Sunday.
Your buddy Richard
This made me tear up:(
Thank you sweet Anita ..
Have a beautiful day,
Marfi
As always just lovely. We really like the flying bird. How cool. Of course we had to stop and look longingly at the squirrel. Beautiful sentiment Anita. Have a lovely Sunday.
Best wishes Molly
Oh, Anita, so beautiful here as always, starting from the header all the way to the closing. Thank you for sharing with us. This is a beautiful tribute to a friend, and we all benefit from it. Kindness just keeps on giving and it is so contagious, really.
LOVE the sweet mouse in his perfectly knitted sweater. Is that cashmere or angora. ;)
But that adorable face peeking from the side of the door, those ears, that look ... stole my heart. PRICELESS.
Thx for visiting the shop, love.
XOXO's,
Marcia
Dear Anita, this post has truly captured the essence of what it means to be connected to another both spiritually , emotionally and mentally. The three ways we connect with each other, and when all three are present, I believe we create a truly magical bond with that person . Your beautiful words and images establish that with the reader ! A very rare gift you have, Anita! Your posts are magic to me! N.xo
A touching tribute to a dear friend.Wonderful Dear Anita.

I am just sitting here smiling and feeling joy after your post...enough said!!
What a lovely tribute, Anita. The beautiful blues in the artwork speak to me. Indeed we DO love the same things.
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. And a Happy Belated Birthday to Ruben, too!
Never fear my going way. Temporarily sporadic; yes. Going away; definitely not. I think visits are down because people are outside after a horribly hot summer enjoying the beautiful weather. When it gets colder and a little closer to holiday time, they will pick back up, I'm sure. Your posts are as beautiful as ever.
Thank you for taking the time to visit me. I always look forward to your comments.:)

Beautiful post Anita,
The paper dress is of beauty, I see your mind wrapped around every piece of paper torn and pasted to its form. It is divine and I would love to try my hand at one.
So inspiring you are my friend to take time to honor ones work. I have worked with ephemera paper for years and I like to weave it into different pieces here and there, I must find some time to create more with paper, maybe over the holidays.
Anita, do you not remember making those paper chain garlands in grade school, well I think that was the start of me loving paper art :)
Fine day to you, and a coming week of inspiration.
What would it be like, to be your neighbor, me looking for every reason to come in and sit with you to create paper art.
Lots of love

Anita this is so precious!
I loved reading this post and loved the true sayings and your photos and the way you always bring everything together to make that "moment of beauty".
Hugs my sweet friend xo

Hello my Darling girl,
I am guessing your Sherlock is Benedict Cumberbatch (how English is that?). Watch out for him in "Parades End" which will be coming your way around Christmas. It makes Downton look like a soap opera, so beautiful!
Lovely to see you today.

We popped over to salivate over the squiggle and baby again. Anita, Anaïs Nin oh my good golly gosh. We are more a Balzac , Zola or Voltaire kind of doglet. Loving french classics big time and in true spirit off to buy my lottery ticket and a vile of cyanide.
Take care and love Molly

Truly, truly a beautiful tribute to someone special. The photos this time are especially memorable. What a gift you are to so many!
Anita don't tell me you like the miserable Russians as well, they are my fav with the french. Loving Russian classics as much as the froggy ones. Have to sign off now but email is molly.thewally@btinternet.com.

Kind actions....how true! This was a beautiful post and you always show your beauty here. Sweet hugs, Diane
Very cute. Oh to be that friend and read such prose!
I just realised I have never seen a baby squirrel before! Ever! Loved that pic.
You always make me miss Paris. Your pics always transport me there.
Am back, just, from a hectic move. How I hated it. I feel very tired, trying to destress but feeling a cold coming as got run down, and I hate the change in weather.
So you brightened me up today.
Happy week dearest

Hi Anita,
Oh how wonderful to have friends that are so special and carry such close bonds.
How exciting that you are getting a new camera...oh, and a happy belated birthday to Ruben. I hope you both had a good weekend!
I plan to get a picture or two or three, haha...of Maximus this week. He is so much fun...getting to be more of a huggy, cuddly guy and I love it!
He is doing well with swimming. We've been doing it now since summer. Not sure if we will continue again when this session is over with...maybe we'll do something new. :)
Anyway...so nice of you to stop by and thanks for your birthday wishes. I had a good day!
Much love,
Heidi

Your posts are always filled with so much emotion!!! You have an amazing ability to communicate and express your feelings through pictures and words :) As a parent of grown kids, I must say that all those individuals that were fortunate enough to have you as their mentor/teacher were given a gift. What an inspiration you are!
Enjoy the start to a new week!

Beautiful post! I hope you are doing well, mon ami. xoxo, B
My dear friend,
Received your email. Check yours please.
THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! You are an angel!!!
I am doing well! Yes, still in classes.. I'm scheduled to graduate in May! I still plan to continue my education but at a slower pace. Last year was incredibly busy.. it seems like a blur! You know how time consuming art classes can be.
This year I am taking three courses each semester and holding a student liaison position with the IIDA, which I love. I've considered posting some of my projects on the blog.
How are you? I'm certain that you have so many wonderful projects in the works!! xoxo, B
Anita, this is such a beautiful tribute to our friend! Am I correct that this is who I think it is?
She is indeed a kind, gentle and caring person and I am blessed to have her in my life as well.
I love this tribute!
xoxo Elizabeth
Awh - awh, the peace that comes over me while I languish in your thoughts and words with photographs with music, doesn't seem like I am reading a blog. It seems as though I'm in a dream, or a movie or a trance; which is all good.
Anita! hi, you are so kind and sweet. You take me by the hand. You suggest so sweetly. thank you, thanks for your encouragement. Thanks for liking my new look. I am feeling so good lately, so good!!!! awh ~
I can relate! Everywhere I turn, someone is saying that interior designers won't' make it. I've put so much hard work and dedication into this that it breaks my heart; however, like you, I must find my niche in what people want. We must follow our hearts and passions, and not be discouraged!
You WILL find your niche, I know it. You are very creative and blessed with so many talents. Be patient.
It was wonderful to converse with you also! xoxo, B
Dearest Anita,
This post has moved me to tears. Your words, art, and images always take me to a higher place and my spirits soar.
Yes and I am so very thankful for the friends who have stood by me this past year; of course including you!
xoxo,

How wonderful to have a friend who shares many feelings and likes (and I'm sure precious moments) with you. This is a wonderful tribute, Anita. Truly, you possess the talent of putting into words that which the rest of us can feel in our hearts but at times can't express. Oh, my dearest. I'm so happy to be back in blogland and to come visit you. Your words, as always, make my soul soar!
Have a lovely day, my sweet friend.
Hi Anita ~~~ Words can be so uplifting and sometimes no words are better than words spoken unkindly. I enjoyed your "words" spoken through your beautiful blog Anita and the saying "you are missing from me" is simply heavenly. Thanks for sharing.
Sincerely,
Michele

Hi Anita,
I just watched that video...Oh, that was so COOL! Okay...this is so up your alley. Are you going to look into doing life size work like this? You should! :)
I am with you...love the seasons and Fall is one of my favorites. This summer the weather was so nice here for about 2 months straight, so I'm a little sad to see it go, but the leaves are turning and temps are cooling down in the 70's, so it's just perfect. I love a good storm or blustery winds as well!
Have a good week!
Heidi
Oh Anita, my dear friend, what a breathtaking post again..........can´t tell you, how much I love it!!!! To visit you is always such a joy and really magical!!!!! Thank you so much for all!!!
Have a wonderful autumn week, big hugs, Jade
Morning dear one...sending you some "pink" joy this morning as I fly out the door to morning devotions before school starts.....hope your day is blessed in everyway. Thank you for being such a dear sweet friend. xoxox
Anita, mi amiga! I've missed being able to visit and soak up your deliciously divine posts! This one makes my heart swell with love. It's beautiful!! Are you loving substitute teaching? The boys are doing fine and keeping me very, very busy!. Mama sure could use a break:-). I hope you have a very beautiful week bella! XX
Anita!! hi!
Yes poetry is alive an well in this here nogan. I'm getting grand inspiration from Kooser. Collins book wasn't checked in but I did get on transfer list. I'm also enjoying Writing from the Heart by Nancy Aronie.
Thank you so much for your consistent encouragement. It moves me along where I am wanting to be.
(hug)
So lovely, Anita! I lost my best friend a couple of years ago and miss having that special someone you tell everything to. No one else quite compares to your bestie! Blessings to you and yours!
Bisous, Kirsten
Oh Anita! I don't know whether I am becoming more emotional in my old age, or whether I am just going through 'a moment', but this post actually moved me to tears - the music, the film, the words and the images - all of it! You are SO incredibly gifted at telling a story and conveying a sentiment in so short a space and time. Perhaps you ought to try animation or a short film - I don't believe that there would be a dry eye or an untouched heart left after seeing what you could produce! Whomever this is a tribute to - they are incredibly lucky to have you as a friend.
Best wishes,
Paula xxx
Bonjour beautiful Anita!!!!!!
What a wonderful post!!!! I love the first photo of the two friends!!!! :-)
How was your weekend? It's still warm on & off here. We have rain showers today so I figured it was a great day to stay inside & work on my blog.... :-)
My husband and I celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary on Thursday. It has gone by SO fast!!!!!
Hope you're having a fabulous Tuesday!!!!!
Talk to you soon!!!!!
Luv & Hugs,
Shannon
Friendship is so precious because it is a sign of faith towards another human being. We are very fortunate when we find someone, as you obviously have, that we can truly call friend. It is rare these days.
I adore the French meaning of I miss you. And of course all your images are lovely! Such a beautiful post Anita, I loved it!!!
Hi dear one!
Lovely to have you over at my blog - you write the BEST comments. Fee and I both love it when you pop over to us!!! (have never met Fee either but it doesn't matter in blog land!)
Yes we have finally bought our own home. It's been a long time coming.
How does it work in the States? Do people tend to buy more than they rent?
Hope you are well and happy. And yes that pink Champagne was AMAZING!!!!!!!!

awwwww Anita! Mother Goose and I are honored.. Thank you so much for the link and photo here.. You are a dear soul.
BISOUS!

Oh Anita what a beautiful tribute to someone special...I just adore everything about it.
Oh Dear Heart thank you so much for your Prayers for my Brother...who knows what advances may be made in the years to come...Many Many Blessings to you...Much Love, Dzintra xo
Hello Anita,
I DO remember you telling me that you had someone interested in your work but they were thinking it was life size. Oh, this would be perfect! I could totally see you doing window displays...traveling to 5th Ave. in NYC dressing up the windows with your amazing paper collections, only in lifesize dimensions!
We had a good day...and I am so glad that M is liking swimming and we're having fun!
Have a blessed day!
Heidi
O..thats so sweet of you dear Tea..!!
okay ...I take a deep breath ...
and try to write AGAIN what I wrote to you in a comment .
When I pushed the Publish button I already got the feeling something went wrong
But I wrote this very long comment right from my heart and I hoped it would be alright
there always comes first this comment will show after .....
But I looked and no comment.
So Now I start all over .
I love your change in the blog
I admire the courage to change
It fits you ...in your process
In Amsterdam the STEDELIJK MUSEUM re-opened after 8 years of renovation . It's a museum of modern arts and our Queen opened the museum so there was a lot on tv about the history of the museum ,
about the collection and about the artists .
I loved all of it and I was so moved about the whole artists-world
Suddenly I understood it's all about the PROCESS .......and the artist .
and of course about the people who come and enjoy the result , wondering what the artist meant , wondering why they are touched ....
After all of that I visited your post and OH MY .....the film shows the process and I loved it
I loved seeing all the things on the table and how the artist works
It is a present to me
Here I am in my new studio keeping everything clean and organised ....
so NOTHING is happening hihi
Thank you for sharing so much more than the blog and the post and the film and the words can show ....
YOU ....YOURSELF.....YOUR PROCESS
Thank you for being my friend
I am so honored and greatful
All ther best for you
Tu nous rappelles que la beauté est tout autour de nous. Il suffit d'ouvrir grands les yeux...
Imagens emocionantes. Amei ver cada uma.
Have a lovely week.
Anajá

Kisses and I wish you a happy week!!
Lovely words and sentiments for a cherished one in your life. We should all be so blessed to have such a soul mate.
oh Thank you dear Anita! Your encouragement helps me so much. Kooser's book is addicting. I love to get addicted to blogging and poetry lately. Those addictions are ok, right? His mind is so naturally brilliant. Wow! (Wow doesn't seem to be a strong enough word?)
Loved that you saw the picture of my sweet brother. His smile is so exact in that picture. He always smiled like that around my daughter. She is the one he held for hours as a baby (in my "sweet brother" post). Thankyou!!!!!!!!! Thankyou!!!! for your sweet words. awh.
I had a very intens day today
I was at my school for an appointment
with my principal Els .
It's always a big step to enter my school
I know now for sure That's the past !
I was calm and in the present .

My friend Anita
I am not in the slightest bit surprised that you have such a glorious friend in your life all her attributes mirror yours so beautifully
I am always so touched that you always leave a gorgeous comment on my little blog all the here in Ireland
All my best
Denise
Lovely post...your sister photos are wonderful and the words, though few speak volumes.
Dear Anita,
I love listening to music. My son is learning to play the guitar, and I can listen to him for such a long time. The purple picture is so amazing and makes me think I am right in the middle of it. This reminds me of how truly lucky we are to have that special friend around us. I have alot of acquaintences, but I can say that I have only a few true friends. You, my sweet one, are one of them. You have character, love, and a heart as big as the ocean. I love the picture of the statue, it's so beautiful.
~Sheri at Red Rose Alley
Oh Anita, I have goosebumps!!!!
What a beautiful post of pics, words and your flare!!!
Thank you for brightening my day!
La la love this post and you sweet friend!!!1
lots of love
gi gi
Always nice seeing you Anita on my own blog and I'm glad your able to have a little more time to visit blogs like my own and post your comments.
Sadly I'm not able to find the time that I would like to visit the amount of blogs like I used to, and the amount of comments and hits are reflective of that for Amish Stories.
So with all of that said I dont have any pressure on me because my blog is free and I have no ads or anyone to answer to, and I now have a very relaxed way of posting all of the content and dont pay attention to the hits anymore.
I hope if you can find a little time to pop over my way and read a brand new post from Martha who is old order Mennonite (horse and buggy), and this post Martha explains what goes on during a quilting Bee and on how the ladies all work together to get a quilt done.
It may say Fall on the calendar but try convincing my air conditioner which has been running for 2 days now, "so come-on Fall just get here already"! Richard
Sounds like a very special
friend, indeed, Anita! How
lucky you are to have each
other. I hope she is local
so you can have "real" tea
together and other adventures!
Love all the images that you
must have scoured the internet
to find. Amazing how YOU
they all are!!
Enjoy this Indian Summer we
are having. I have to catch my
breath each time I go outside
or on errands in my car ~ it is
just SO beautiful.
Hugs my friend,
xo Suzanne
How are you, Anita?
What a cute story of the two characters you taught that were on the small and tall side. I bet that was a hoot to watch. And it's so funny when the voice doesn't quite fit the person. Ahhh...too cute.
Have you started subbing yet? I bet you miss your students in a way. There's got to be someplace for your designs to be used in store front windows. Wait! Aren't you close to The Mall of America? I'm sure it's a tough thing to get into...very niche and also everything tends to be so cookie cutter, corporate...I think they should branch off and use you for some freelance work.
Well...I hope you have a good weekend, my friend!
Love,
Heidi
Ah, this post totally makes my day worthwhile. Love all this inspiration from your post. Tu me manques! Got my eye on your next posts.
You truly moved me to tears ..... To good ones this time! Love you...
Thank you soooooo much, for your sweet comment, my dear friend!!!! I take my pictures with a CANON EOS 550 D (think it´s the same, as your´s). I don´t have Photoshop or any other program.........and I don´t know anything about technical details ;)), I take the pictures only with my heart!!!! One day I would love to learn more about photography!!!
The garland at my post belongs to this church, have been there at the last sunday:
"St. Stephan's Cathedral, or "Dom St. Stephan" in German, is a baroque church from 1688 in Passau, Germany. It is the seat of the Catholic Bishop of Passau and the main church of his diocese.
Since 730, there have been many churches built on the site of the current cathedral. The current church, a baroque building around 100 metres (328 ft) long, was built from 1668 to 1693 after a fire in 1662 destroyed its predecessor, of which only the late gothic eastern side remains. The cathedral's overall plan was made by Carlo Lurago, its interior decoration by Giovanni Battista Carlone, and its frescos by Carpoforo Tencalla.
Over time, the Passau Cathedral has acquired the largest organ outside of the United States. It is also the largest cathedral organ in the world. The organ currently has 17,774 pipes and 233 registers, all of which can be played with the five-manual general console in the gallery. Portions of the organ have their own mechanical-action or electric-action consoles, for a total of six consoles."
Have a wonderful weekend, dear Anita, Hugs Jade
You´r such a great artist and you have a really good cam, so you will take wonderful pictures, Anita, I know that!!!!! For your sidebar you can use every picture you want, it´s a great pleasure for me!!! Have a wonderful weekend,
Hugs Jade & Sheila (she´s feeling fine and now we will take a long walk trough the lovely forest, sun is shining and it´s very warm outside )
Anita, my goodness me. I am all mixed up with the days. I simply must RE-FOLLOW you as Blogger is not sending me notification of your magical posts.
That little video is a treasure indeed. Paper and eighteenth-century costumes are a match made in Heaven just as you and your friend are too, clearly. This is such a beautiful post, Anita. As beautiful as your soul.
Stephanie, who is off to re-follow you right now.
O Madame Anita! How I wish I could recall my french..
This week has been glorious with both it's highs and lows. I burst into tears one night thinking of my sweet brother's suffering, yet was joyous at the knowledge of his life from now on.
I've been devouring Kooser! So gracious of you for telling me about him. We can have poetry reads via Skype? But o wait, I don't have a camera... dang! silly me! I am so grateful you told me about him. I am about half way through his book. I read slow and softly when I read. I don't read fast ever! If something doesn't keep my interest then adieu. I don't have ADHD, but I do get BORED fast.
This post of yours is so lovely! I had to absorb it again. I love the music with the pink mushrooms, resembles Fantasia right then. hahahaha.
Love to you,
me

Always a delight stopping by, Anita. I could never get enough of your beautiful corner in the Land of Blog, and YOU KNOW I had to stop by again for a second look at Mr. Donkey who has completely stolen my heart. :)
I also had another look at the video and I am simply amazed by the artist's gift. So much beauty we can fix our thoughts on, isn't there.
Have a lovely Friday evening, my friend.

Great post, very nice.
Thank you dear friend for the early morning visit...I was up early...really early and on my day off..what is that all about?? My body is so use to getting up that it doesn't care if it is Sat. or not. So I read my devotionals and had some peace with our Heavenly Father...it was sooo worth it. My body is tired but my spirits are soaring!
Today is family day at our home...lots of baking and cooking...I think the focus will be Pumpkin Spice..sounds good doesn't it? Maybe pumpkin spice candles going...drinking pumpkin spice tea...baking something pumpkiny and spicy...wish you could pop on over. The weather is just perfect...sun and clouds with a nip in the air. Maybe a walk is in order today too...I need to slid on my boots and put on my new cozy sweater and find myself a dog to walk!Hope your day is just as cozy dear one. xoxox Love and hugs.
Dear Anita,
You always manage to surprise me... with your choice of images and the sentiments you express... this one is amazing... and of course, a beautiful tribute to friendship... xv
Dear Soul,
What wonderful things you write, to go with the perfectly right images. Every time I come here to read, I go away feeling better, satisfied, content. It's a wonderful thing that you do.
(Oh! I saw the Masquerade Rabbit in your Etsy shop! How wonderfully good! Is this a theme, I wonder? I'm working on my own, I've been sent one on a fabulous ATC. I love her ruffled collar and her sweet little smile)
je suis celui qui manque de moi-même
Hi Anita...
yes... I feel as though I am missing from myself!
I have been working 10 hour days Anita!
Today, I spent a few sweet moments in one of my favorite consignment shops. I enjoyed all the lovely vintage items. It feels like spending time with my mother and grandmother... like a warm hug.
I think of you often, hoping you are finding yourself enveloped in creative ventures.
The joy of art is so profound ~
Wishing you a beautiful Sunday.
God bless you, Anita ♥

Oh drats..........I just wrote this LOVELY post comment and now it's vanished by one wrong slip of my hand. Whimpering right here in virtual land. :( Well...back to the comment! This post really struck a chord with me Anita. It's so special...and a tribute to all great friends. My fav pic is the one of the friends that are holding hands...and it reminded me of the Summerbreeze gals that met in Canada. Claudie had us at one point in time on the trip (each one of us) holding and swinging hands & arms in the city of Montreal...we were like school friends. I told her it's the first time I held a friends hand like that since I was in 6th grade. We giggled, and the innocence of our youth seemed to rise to the surface. This post reminds me of that day in Montreal when she grabbed my hand and started swinging. :) We need to do that more as friends...without intimidation of someone questioning our sexuality; don't we? I love this thought provoking and brilliantly narrated post today. Love you friend! xoxo
Thank you for filling in another piece of my puzzle. Dave, my husband, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.
Tu me manques...yes, you are missing from me, beloved.
Olá Anita! Que espetaculo teu blog! Adorei...e já estou seguindo, posso? Me visita também, será um prazer. Beijinhos
Ooooh I like that -- you are so missing from me! I don't know how I missed this French post but I am glad I see it now. I have been so busy with my artwork. I am trying to better at blogging with 2 blogs now, sometimes I just get so busy.
Hugs to you my friend!
xoxo
