Dear Anita,
This is a lovely tribute to someone who is indeed a wonderfully bright light of love, kindness and friendship, and who has become dear to us both. Beautiful post.

Hello Anita:
A friend who is so much part of oneself that one can barely see the join is one of life's greatest gifts. And, how thrilled your friend must be to have this most enchanting of tributes. Beautifully illustrated and charmingly accompanied by the music. In this ever changing and challenging world, the constancy of a good friend has never been more important.

Anita a deep post from you today, and I really like the birds flying at the end of this.

You express yourself so very well and most importantly your not afraid in doing so which to me is half the battle, So you communicate with ease to your readers and they understand you.

Before I forget Anita happy Birthday to your husband and if you should have a little time please stop by my own blog when I post Jeans post this Monday which is also her daughters birthday, and I have added a old fashioned chocolate cake recipe from an Amish style cook book for anyone who plans on making a cake for someone's upcoming Birthday or some occasion.

And maybe the next time if you like chocolate you can make this cake for someone special, and before I go you did a great job with this post and enjoy the now cooler Fall weather this Sunday.

Your buddy Richard

Oh, Anita, so beautiful here as always, starting from the header all the way to the closing. Thank you for sharing with us. This is a beautiful tribute to a friend, and we all benefit from it. Kindness just keeps on giving and it is so contagious, really.

LOVE the sweet mouse in his perfectly knitted sweater. Is that cashmere or angora. ;)
But that adorable face peeking from the side of the door, those ears, that look ... stole my heart. PRICELESS.

Thx for visiting the shop, love.

Dear Anita, this post has truly captured the essence of what it means to be connected to another both spiritually , emotionally and mentally. The three ways we connect with each other, and when all three are present, I believe we create a truly magical bond with that person . Your beautiful words and images establish that with the reader ! A very rare gift you have, Anita! Your posts are magic to me! N.xo

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. And a Happy Belated Birthday to Ruben, too!

Never fear my going way. Temporarily sporadic; yes. Going away; definitely not. I think visits are down because people are outside after a horribly hot summer enjoying the beautiful weather. When it gets colder and a little closer to holiday time, they will pick back up, I'm sure. Your posts are as beautiful as ever.

Thank you for taking the time to visit me. I always look forward to your comments.:)

Beautiful post Anita,
The paper dress is of beauty, I see your mind wrapped around every piece of paper torn and pasted to its form. It is divine and I would love to try my hand at one.
So inspiring you are my friend to take time to honor ones work. I have worked with ephemera paper for years and I like to weave it into different pieces here and there, I must find some time to create more with paper, maybe over the holidays.
Anita, do you not remember making those paper chain garlands in grade school, well I think that was the start of me loving paper art :)

Fine day to you, and a coming week of inspiration.
What would it be like, to be your neighbor, me looking for every reason to come in and sit with you to create paper art.

Lots of love

But I looked and no comment.
So Now I start all over .
I love your change in the blog
I admire the courage to change
It fits you ...in your process
In Amsterdam the STEDELIJK MUSEUM re-opened after 8 years of renovation . It's a museum of modern arts and our Queen opened the museum so there was a lot on tv about the history of the museum ,
about the collection and about the artists .
I loved all of it and I was so moved about the whole artists-world
Suddenly I understood it's all about the PROCESS .......and the artist .
and of course about the people who come and enjoy the result , wondering what the artist meant , wondering why they are touched ....
After all of that I visited your post and OH MY .....the film shows the process and I loved it
I loved seeing all the things on the table and how the artist works
It is a present to me
Here I am in my new studio keeping everything clean and organised ....
so NOTHING is happening hihi
Thank you for sharing so much more than the blog and the post and the film and the words can show ....
YOU ....YOURSELF.....YOUR PROCESS
Thank you for being my friend
I am so honored and greatful

Always nice seeing you Anita on my own blog and I'm glad your able to have a little more time to visit blogs like my own and post your comments.

Sadly I'm not able to find the time that I would like to visit the amount of blogs like I used to, and the amount of comments and hits are reflective of that for Amish Stories.

So with all of that said I dont have any pressure on me because my blog is free and I have no ads or anyone to answer to, and I now have a very relaxed way of posting all of the content and dont pay attention to the hits anymore.

I hope if you can find a little time to pop over my way and read a brand new post from Martha who is old order Mennonite (horse and buggy), and this post Martha explains what goes on during a quilting Bee and on how the ladies all work together to get a quilt done.

It may say Fall on the calendar but try convincing my air conditioner which has been running for 2 days now, "so come-on Fall just get here already"! Richard

How are you, Anita?

What a cute story of the two characters you taught that were on the small and tall side. I bet that was a hoot to watch. And it's so funny when the voice doesn't quite fit the person. Ahhh...too cute.

Have you started subbing yet? I bet you miss your students in a way. There's got to be someplace for your designs to be used in store front windows. Wait! Aren't you close to The Mall of America? I'm sure it's a tough thing to get into...very niche and also everything tends to be so cookie cutter, corporate...I think they should branch off and use you for some freelance work.

Well...I hope you have a good weekend, my friend!

The garland at my post belongs to this church, have been there at the last sunday:

"St. Stephan's Cathedral, or "Dom St. Stephan" in German, is a baroque church from 1688 in Passau, Germany. It is the seat of the Catholic Bishop of Passau and the main church of his diocese.
Since 730, there have been many churches built on the site of the current cathedral. The current church, a baroque building around 100 metres (328 ft) long, was built from 1668 to 1693 after a fire in 1662 destroyed its predecessor, of which only the late gothic eastern side remains. The cathedral's overall plan was made by Carlo Lurago, its interior decoration by Giovanni Battista Carlone, and its frescos by Carpoforo Tencalla.
Over time, the Passau Cathedral has acquired the largest organ outside of the United States. It is also the largest cathedral organ in the world. The organ currently has 17,774 pipes and 233 registers, all of which can be played with the five-manual general console in the gallery. Portions of the organ have their own mechanical-action or electric-action consoles, for a total of six consoles."

Anita, my goodness me. I am all mixed up with the days. I simply must RE-FOLLOW you as Blogger is not sending me notification of your magical posts.

That little video is a treasure indeed. Paper and eighteenth-century costumes are a match made in Heaven just as you and your friend are too, clearly. This is such a beautiful post, Anita. As beautiful as your soul.

Stephanie, who is off to re-follow you right now.

O Madame Anita! How I wish I could recall my french..

This week has been glorious with both it's highs and lows. I burst into tears one night thinking of my sweet brother's suffering, yet was joyous at the knowledge of his life from now on.

I've been devouring Kooser! So gracious of you for telling me about him. We can have poetry reads via Skype? But o wait, I don't have a camera... dang! silly me! I am so grateful you told me about him. I am about half way through his book. I read slow and softly when I read. I don't read fast ever! If something doesn't keep my interest then adieu. I don't have ADHD, but I do get BORED fast.

This post of yours is so lovely! I had to absorb it again. I love the music with the pink mushrooms, resembles Fantasia right then. hahahaha.

Love to you,
me

I also had another look at the video and I am simply amazed by the artist's gift. So much beauty we can fix our thoughts on, isn't there.

Have a lovely Friday evening, my friend.

Thank you dear friend for the early morning visit...I was up early...really early and on my day off..what is that all about?? My body is so use to getting up that it doesn't care if it is Sat. or not. So I read my devotionals and had some peace with our Heavenly Father...it was sooo worth it. My body is tired but my spirits are soaring!
Today is family day at our home...lots of baking and cooking...I think the focus will be Pumpkin Spice..sounds good doesn't it? Maybe pumpkin spice candles going...drinking pumpkin spice tea...baking something pumpkiny and spicy...wish you could pop on over. The weather is just perfect...sun and clouds with a nip in the air. Maybe a walk is in order today too...I need to slid on my boots and put on my new cozy sweater and find myself a dog to walk!Hope your day is just as cozy dear one. xoxox Love and hugs.

Dear Soul,
What wonderful things you write, to go with the perfectly right images. Every time I come here to read, I go away feeling better, satisfied, content. It's a wonderful thing that you do.

(Oh! I saw the Masquerade Rabbit in your Etsy shop! How wonderfully good! Is this a theme, I wonder? I'm working on my own, I've been sent one on a fabulous ATC. I love her ruffled collar and her sweet little smile)

je suis celui qui manque de moi-même

Hi Anita...
yes... I feel as though I am missing from myself!
I have been working 10 hour days Anita!
Today, I spent a few sweet moments in one of my favorite consignment shops. I enjoyed all the lovely vintage items. It feels like spending time with my mother and grandmother... like a warm hug.

I think of you often, hoping you are finding yourself enveloped in creative ventures.
The joy of art is so profound ~
Wishing you a beautiful Sunday.
God bless you, Anita ♥

Oh drats..........I just wrote this LOVELY post comment and now it's vanished by one wrong slip of my hand. Whimpering right here in virtual land. :( Well...back to the comment! This post really struck a chord with me Anita. It's so special...and a tribute to all great friends. My fav pic is the one of the friends that are holding hands...and it reminded me of the Summerbreeze gals that met in Canada. Claudie had us at one point in time on the trip (each one of us) holding and swinging hands & arms in the city of Montreal...we were like school friends. I told her it's the first time I held a friends hand like that since I was in 6th grade. We giggled, and the innocence of our youth seemed to rise to the surface. This post reminds me of that day in Montreal when she grabbed my hand and started swinging. :) We need to do that more as friends...without intimidation of someone questioning our sexuality; don't we? I love this thought provoking and brilliantly narrated post today. Love you friend! xoxo
