I can see your home is as lovely inside as I have imagined. I am also drawn to my own home during this season. It's the perfect thing for comfort.
Your creations are so delightful! I'm headed over to your Etsy shop to check out the new additions.

Anita, I love your new header, it is so artistic and sensitive. And, I know you will have something in your Etsy shop which I will have to own.
Sending love, my precious friend....
Anita, you must call your little mice creations "inspired by The Nutcracker Ballet. So perfect for you, and then there will be so many more characters too. I'm ordering 2 or the pieces for my little 2 & 4 year old grandchildren to hang on the tree and keep FOREVER. Just beautiful!
My dear Anita,
I see your heart in this post. It is one of my favorites..
Although your paper ballet mannequin is in progress, it could be considered finished.. It is magnificent! I believe it is some of your best work my dear friend.
I love your sweet holiday ornaments, and of course little BOO!
Bisous!

Absolutely gorgeous! But after looking at that toasted sandwich picture, now I'm hungry.
Hmm, methinks I need to go buy some crusty bread for lunch.
Wow, Anita! You are definitely one of the most multi-talented people I know!
I'm so glad we can enjoy the fruits of your talents. I've always enjoyed your blog...I need to check out your Etsy shop.

B L I S S ~ !!!
The new ornaments are so fun and filled with whimsy, as are the wands, and your papered mannequin
is exquisite my dear.
A joy to behold!!!
I love hearing how your mother was creative. Can you believe mine wasn't? It was my father who passed on the creative genes to me. My mother was trained as a nurse, and those skills are quite important.... something I could never do!!!
Being loved, that is the best gift of all.
Thanks for sharing your love
in so many wondrous ways!
~ Violet

The joy of taking ballet class each day for me is a gift I treasure. The joy of being able to create a paper ballet mannequin so beautiful as yours I cannot even imagine how that must feel. Thank you ever so much for sharing your many talents with all of us.
So lovely Anita. I think your art is magical. It reminds me of the Nutcracker Suite..touched with fairy dust.

....and I adore the tiny bunny with the lovely ruffled collar!

I can imagine a whole tree with your ornaments... it would be magical. You should get a magazine spread for your work (every seen Sweet Paul?) so that others can discover your work.
This time of year draws many of us back into our nests to rearrange our twigs and branches. I have been fussing with my big book-case, rearranging the decorations snuggled in the books... bit of things collected, photos and odd bits... just like any good magpie would!
Snuggle into your fall time and create your wonders, lovely ANita~
Bravo Anita......love this. Your work and your home are your core and help define who you are. Your talents are unlimited and these works of art are simply magical.
You continue to inspire and uplift me and every time I visit I leave feeling hopeful and open. Another beautiful post...sent you an email last week, did you get it?
I love it all, Anita, from the music, to that perfect cake, to the newest arrivals at your etsy, and how all of it centers around HOME. Do you know that is one of my favorite words?
Perfect way to enjoy my quiet Sunday morning. Thank you for sharing.
Much love,
Marcia
Beautiful Anita!! you are a true artist.
Bigs hugs to you
Cecilia
Anita,
This is a beautiful post with many elements that touch my heart. One is Kenny Rankin's haunting song, "The Eye of the Eagle." Though he passed away some years ago, he's still one of my all time favorite singer-song writers. That amazing Easter Redbud tree reminds me so much of our countless walks together in New England, and reminds me that this world can be truly magical. And of course your wonderful words about however much around us, however much we do, there's no place like home.
Love
Ruben
LOVING your latest work Anita - just divine! We are making, then photographing pictures for Cleggy's new book which is all about fairies! So much glitter everywhere...I'm in my element!
Wishing you a magical sunday too

Oh Anita this 'Bobby' just loves the magical place of the theatre....whoever wouldv'e thought this...You must have countless magic moments yourself from there as well...Oh how I imagine your students wouldv'e loved it all! And yes our Spring is here...warms and sunny one day....2 days later cool and rainy...but that's Spring for you isn't it!
Enjoy your week...Much Love to you across the miles....Dzintra xo
You have such incredible talent Anita. Such a gift to bring pleasure and inspiration. I know that things will turn in the direction that you desire.

Anita, I will email you about this post. This is divine. Have a wonderful weekend (This is Silvia at Casabella, by the way...I've changed my Profile pic :-)
Anita,
I am filled with joy over this post. We were just talking about using our imagination when we were young, and does this post ever portray that? The little girl on your Header is beautiful. You find the most amazing pictures to go along with your story. The crooked tree, how unique is that? This really hit home for me because out of all that we have, going home to my loved ones is the most important thing. Your sweet little creations that you are making for Christmas are adorable. I am off to check out all your lovelies in your shop now. Have a nice Sunday, and thank you for showing me how far our imagination will take us.
~Sheri at Red Rose Alley

Your new creations are very interesting, indeed! As I can see you are getting better with this new Canon:)
Keep going, my dear friend, even when the going is hard and slow.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your friendship.
Hi Anita, I enjoyed the entire post and love all your creations. The ballet mannequin will be so beautiful when it is finished. My mom taught me to stitch when I was young and I too turn to that gift she gave me in the fall and winter months when I usually start a new needlepoint project with her in mind.
I especially loved seeing the pictures of your home. Lovely!!! I am always torn between my love of color and that special peaceful charm of grey and white interiors. Have a fabulous day!!!!
I just love seeing your beautiful comments.. Thank you so much for your visit dear one. I missed you too yesterday...

hi! O how I wish I had money to buy some of your precious pieces!!!!! Perhaps in a few months.
Thank you for your nice words and feelings behind your words. So I guess I am a poet. I couldn't sleep last night so I read more on Kooser and some history about him. He was an insurance person/underwriter that became the US Poet Laureate!?! That is so amazing. That gives me hope. Thank you for telling me about him. I just may do a post about him. smiles all around !!!!!!
(now today I was able to get in here to comment - others days my computer gives me frustrations) :D

I always hear your carefully selected music and it's always right on the money! You share a part of our hearts that sometimes are missed in the hurry of this world, and I don't want to miss any of it. I'm always reminded to enjoy the beauty around and within when I visit you... Hi Anita and you mentioning split pea soup had my mouth watering, so your hubby is a lucky guy for having a wife making real homemade soup and not having a few Campbell Soup cans in the garbage can, lol.
And I have found a tomato split soup recipe that I will post next week because of your comment on my blog, and please if you can find the time drop over this Thursday for a new post from a Amish business woman named Anna Zook who owns and runs an Inn in Lancaster county, and that one will be including a recipe fro her as well! Richard
Oh I hope you enjoyed you sub day. I did subbing for about 3 years between having my own school. I really loved elementary grades. I also did high school, and skipped middle all together. Now where do I teach? Middle....hahahhaaheee.

Hello my friend...Thanks for your visit. I loved that shot of my two boys. They are actually BOTH wonderful helpers. (I have to say)

Oh Anita I have bursitis which is the swelling and strained knee muscle...I didn't do anything in particular....just rehearsing and warm ups! The physio is working with me to hopefully be right for the performance but I have done 2 rehearsals as a policeman with 1 crutch and some of the cast quite liked that ha ha!!! Apart from that it is rest, rest, rest...thank goodness my dear Hubby has a very understanding boss and he can work from home and care for both me and JoJo! Wishing you a very creative weekend...let's have some bubbles...Cheers...Dzintra xo
I meant to ask you...how is your Husband dealing with his knee and did he do anything specific to bring it on?
Oh my, so pretty. You are very creative and whimsical with your craft.

Morning dear one...will be back later..just popped in to say hi and thank you for the sweet visit. I am off to the school auction bright and early today...lots to do to make $$$$$ for the school. Have a happy day.
I'd like a bite of that melty cheese sandwich. That lock down in Washington was unusual it bet, even for the area. Wildlife does not have rules for bear crossing places.
Oh, you came to see Ms. Tudor!
Thank you, dear friend! Yes, like you,she did know how to create the magic...
Those horse silhouettes up above are mesmerizing....
Do you know what I just finished reading again? My beautiful book of "Bird Songs" by a certain gifted poet Anita Rivera ;)
I am so thankful for this precious gift, merci merci merci, chere amie...I treasure it.
Love you!
Hello Dear Friend,
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you had a peaceful day. How is that new camera of yours? I hope you're having fun with it.
Have a good Sunday!!!
Heidi

Hi Anita,

We have a little of you in our home, no wait a mintue, I've just had a count up. Two of your drawing on the wall the stamp that I use on all my correspondence, heck that's a big word for me! and of course Mr Blue.
We are using Fuzz Book more but this week even that's taken a back seat.
Love to Ruben and Balzac, I saw him spooked, me and Tess have been done to, what a scream:)
Have a good week
Love and Hugs George and Tiny Tess xxx
Anita now I can finally say that its starting to feel like Fall over my way in the Lancaster Pennsylvania area with pumpkins and other dead giveaways bring home the point that its really Fall, even though the warmer temps we had been receiving were trying to make us believe it was Spring.
But now our temps are starting to feel more Fall like with the changing and burning of the leaves in the air, and don’t forget my posting of that split pea soup with tomato this Wednesday! Richard
Hello lovely Anita, stopping by to say hello and find beautiful inspiration here. As always such lovely photos and music. Your new ornaments are just precious!

The French Hutch
My dear friend,
Thank you so much for coming over to meet little Bei and leaving me such sweet words.
BISOUS!
Penny
Anita, I have come back to visit your beautiful home, the room with the French doors, I have a question it looks like you have a trolly track over a doorway where an old barn door would hang, its most likely not yet is most likely a curtain next to the white side table, I love the way that room feels.
I have been adding some washed paints in my home getting ready for the holidays so its all done now rather than later.
Anita when you see this piece I know I can trust that you my French friend will tell me what it lacks, I am still working a bit on it.
I have been creating these French farmhouse milking stools as well, and soon will sell on etsy as well as my shop space.
Come visit the whites that fool the eyes of seeing a hint of grey!
xoxo
I am leaving here with a piece of your yellow cake :)
xx
