Spring showers are awakening earth's dormant life today
but the raindrops on my window pane
roll down streams of tears for me.
It's raining outside mama, and I can't see you
but I BELIEVE
I WILL see you again.
Your great beauty did not reflect back from a looking
glass
nor does it hang from a delicate memory
but rather it REMAINS
in the simplicity and strength of your
CHARACTER.
I still have the little plastic dolly you dressed up
and gave to me
the morning you died.
For 29 years, you taught me how to live
and in one last courageous breath
you taught me how to die.
I WILL see you again, Mama.
Your little girl who believes,
~Anita~

Anita, you've brought tears to my eyes with this one ~ an incredibly touching post to your precious mother. I'm fortunate to still have my mom. She is 96. My sadness came in my early 20s when I lost my dad. Life was forever changed for me that day.
Thanks for sharing these beautiful thoughts. You are an amazing individual. ~ sarah
Your mom was such a kind woman, Anita. I didn't know her long but she always treated me nothing less than her own son.
Your own kindness and inner beauty no doubt come from her.
Love
Ruben

That was a beautiful tribute to your mother and I think it spoke for all of us who have lost our mothers.... some sooner than others. I think we learn from our mothers how to be the best that we can be, in all aspects of our lives. I also take comfort in knowing that I will be with my own mother again.~Hugs, Patti

Anita,
You have opened up your heart with words that resound. A beautiful tribute to your mother, did you know that there is a scripture about God storing our precious tears... Oh how He loves us, and cares about those things that break our hearts. The sorrow you feel as you miss your mother is one felt around the world, it is universal... but not everyone has the certainty of F A I T H that you so eloquently share here.
I too B E L I E V E
Love you,

Dearest Anita,
You’ve written such a beautiful and heartfelt tribute to your dear mom. Oh, yes, my friend, you will meet again...where there is no more pain or heartbreak or tears! May your Mother's Day be blessed as you remember her and keep her close in heart. And may the times you recall with her bring a smile to your face and abiding joy and peace to your soul.
Blessings!
Dear Anita,
Your post just touches my heart with memories and love. I too lost my mother 10 years ago, in fact, the last time she was in my home was on Mother's Day for dinner. I have those memories to hold me till we meet again in heaven.
I know it is a hard time but God gives us comfort with the blessing that we have such cherished women that we will always carry in our hearts.
I hope you Mother's Day is special and God blesses you with great reflection.
Big Blessings from Texas,
Celestina Marie

You are so right...she will be waiting for you, along side the saints, angels and Our Lord, with open arms. Until then, this post is a tender tribute, a memorial to your sweet Mother.
Love you dearest friend.
Oh Anita Sweetie...
What a beautiful tribute and write to your gorgeous Momma. She would be so proud.
You have such a beautiful way with words when you write. It comes from your very soul, and thus you touch each of ours as we read them. Thank you sweet friend for sharing this beautiful look at your sweet Momma, and for sharing your love as always with me.
Many Motherly hugs to you sweet one. Yes, you will see her again. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Oh Anita,
The "Bestest" gift that our Parents (and our loved ones, and we to ours..)
can give is that SECURITY of KNOWING that they will be waiting for us with LORD JESUS!! Praise GOD your Mommy is waiting in eternity! (I lost my Daddy when I just turned 30)
Thank you for a beautiful Mother's Day tribute!!
Blessings and lots of Love Linnie
My sweet Anita,
Your photos and words touch my soul. My mother died 10 years ago and I miss her every minute of every day. She was a wonderful mother and a proud grandmother to her granddaughter.
I think losing your mother is losing a piece of yourself. This post is a lovely tribute to your mother.
Hugs my friend,
Liliane

Dearest Anita,
With this 'proza' you certainly do have two mothers looking down from heaven... your own earthly Mama and your heavenly Mama too. Yes, I too believe that once we will meet with our loved ones again!
Lots of love especially during Mother's Day weekend!

Your ability to touch hearts with pictures and words is truly amazing. Your mothers love and grace has been imparted to you in a very visceral way. Happy Mother's Day to you Anita!
May God bless you forever, Anita. You are quite simply one-of-a-kind.
Beautiful, talented, creative and warm of heart. Sending love...
What a beautiful way to honor the memory of your mother during this special weekend. My mom passed away last year so it was easy for me to hear myself reciting the same things to my dear mother. Their sweetness and what they have taught us will always be with us. And yes, I have hope that one day, we will see them again. Take care, dearest.
Besos,
Silvia
Oh Anita, I am sitting here crying ( and by the comments I see I am not the only one) This is the most beautiful Mother's Day post ever!
I am sorry I haven't been by all week to respond to your lovely lovely comments! I do cherish each and everyone!
I think you should write a book all about you, I would def read it!
Hey, I don't know if you have time or would even want to, but would you want to guest post for me next week? I have a very busy week, both my girls (Cloe and Myah) have a dance recital and my Love will be here (Yay) I was thinking you would be perfect for a tutu/dance post. The dance recital is fri and sat, would any one of those days work ( if you decide to) ?
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend Anita Love!!!

Dear Anita, this is the sweetest post for your momma, I know that she is loving it. :) The greatest gift the we have been given is to see the ones we love one day again and to spend eternity with them, together. I hope that this weekend brings you some comfort and maybe some tears of joy knowing all the wonderful things that you shared with her and that you will share again. Dearest, yes, i had a lovely day - very relaxed, dreamy. and topped of by a little dinner out - just salad - because the night before we had eaten soooooooo good and so much - but nevertheless very nice. I LOVE to sit outside and enjoy the warm spring air, and so hope you can soon do the same. Am sure you had an amazing day yourself, with your very kind and loving husband! What did you do? xx
Wonderful, great words from a great woman!!!
Much love to you this week, sweet friend Anita!!

I would never survive the death of my son if I did not KNOW, we will be together again....someday.

Oh my friend...I am doing a happy dance for you...so glad you went to the Dr. and you have nothing seriously wrong. As you say...keep moving.
I was able to go for a longer walk today myself. Today at Physio I was told I can start riding my bike...only 15 mins. at a time but it is a start...and I am over the moon with happiness. My back is still sore but nothing like it was...it is taking it's time to heal but at least it is healing....yahoo.
Good news for both of us today.
Sending you lots of love for a great nights rest and a wonderful tomorrow. xoxoxox
Anita!
I just had to come back for some more of your world of beauty and grace!!! Your words speak to my heart so deeply.
Love you!
~ Violet
From another little girl who also believes! And isn't the promise behind that belief what makes everything okay!
So beautiful... a perfect ending to my own Mothers Day.
xo
Hi Anita,
So sorry about my absence...You've got my eyes brimming with tears with this special tribute to your Mom. This is really heartwarming and I know she must be so proudly smiling down at you now. You're a wonderful daughter and she sounds like she was a treasure to have as a Mom. Warm hugs to you. XX
Brrrrrinng....Brrrinnng..."Hello dear one...Are you here? I'm just popping over for a little something sweet to nibble on and a STEAMING HOT cuppa of girl talk."
Oh Anita girl how did it go? What did they say? Your hips, your thigh, your skin...oh dearest ,did he have answers??? Tell me.
And Mrs Robinson, is such a SMART mama...SHE KNOWS WHAT TO DO. Ahhh but we love them, and we just want all to go well. We had two nests on the front porch last year, tucked into each of the corners, that the neighborhood finches were "leasing". They took a LONG time to show up this year, and apparently the accommodations were NOT "up to snuff" because now, we now have a NEW nest, right "smack dab in the middle" of the other two...Ah, the more, the merrier. It would be SO wonderful if they would stay all year round, but they are only there for a few short weeks, to raise their babies, then they're gone.
Oh YOUR babies are going to be so excited to see you back. THEY LOVE YOU SOOOO MUCH. And to think summer vacation is just around the corner...YIPPEE...YOU CAN DO IT!
See you in the morning...
....L*O*V*E...rosie...
A wonderful love letter to your mom, Anita...how proud she must have been of her sweet and talented girl, and how lucky you were to have had each other...:)
Oh Anita, this is such a touching post. It definitely brought tears to my eyes. I am glad you have peace in knowing you will see her again. I am sorry to hear that you had to deal with this loss though. I hope you had a special mother's day without sadness, but joy. I am sure she looks down on you with so much love and is proud of the wonderful person you are with such a sweet spirit.
It makes me think of my grandmother who passed a few years ago. How wonderful it is that we can know we can see our dearest ones again in heaven.
Well, it is getting late here. I am fighting allergies/asthma so it is getting harder to stay on the computer. But, I am about to finish up a blog post and publish it. I will be guest posting for gi gi today! So I shall talk to you later. Have a wonderful Tuesday!
xoxo

Dear Anita
A very touching post about your Mum.
Keep believing !
She will always be around you.
Love
Mapi
Anita, I would want to give your mom a hug. As well as if I ever met you I would also want to give you a hug. To have such loving, heartwarming memories of your mom is certainly a gift on Mother's day. Again your blog is a breath of loveliness in my day. God Bless you and yours.
My goodness, You just made a lot of people cry, including me. How touching. You will see her again, as I know, when my mother passes away, I will see her too. I have been fortunate to have my mom for my 57 years as she is soon to be 84. I know she won't be with us much longer, my consolation being that we will meet again in a better place. With love, Jeri
Your heartfelt post brought tears to my eyes today Anita. It was a sweet and touching letter to your Mama. I need to take your lead and write a letter to my Mom who passed away just over a year ago- I think it would be a wonderful way to heal the sadness I feel from her loss. I believe there will be a time when we are both reuited with thesewonderful women who gave birth to us.
Have a beautiful day dear Anita. I hope you are well and enjoying these sweet days of spring.
Enjoy dinner, mijn lieve vriendin. I miss my toasts in the morning, the children miss the Whimpy Burger ;)
Well, I think we have to come back one fine day.
Lots of love, hugs and kisses to YOU o xx o
Ooh Anita, I don't know how I missed this post! What a beautiful one! I'm sure your mama was a wonderful person and isn't it encouraging to know that you will see her again :) Have a beautiful day!
xx Kristin
Oh my dearest Anita, you got me right through my heart. I too miss my mom so much. The biggest guilt is all those times I complained her meddling and now I just wish she'd be here butting in once again; just like old times. Mother's are such a gift and little did I know before you can possibly imagine they can be gone. Big hug to you for bringing your tender words and gorgeous photos into my home.
With love,
Deb
Anita, I am very happy with your visits, even if you do not understand Portuguese! My English is basic ...
I like to visit your blog, so I will train and hopefully improving my
English! Abraço!
Good Morning my friend...
How shall we celebrate dearest? It must be GRAND, as this IS fine news. All will be well in time as long as you look after yourself. Oh dear one, WHAT A RELIEF!
Today was a day of cooking, baking and smiling. I do LOVE to create :)
ON the menu, you ask? A little tribute to summer...creamy potato salad, fresh buns, apple coleslaw, and rosemary roast chicken...and for desert, a strawberry shortcake with a dollop of lemon zested whip cream. Oh, I can't wait for those hot summer days.
Needless to say, I did NOT get outside work done today...TOMORROW, I must get out there tomorrow. There are not enough hours in the day.
But for now, I will leave you a bit of that shortcake( More like a sweet scone) with freshly sliced strawberries strewn about and a cuppa overflowing with love. See you in the morning...xoxox...Rosie
Thanks for that comment, my dear teacher-friend! It is so true! Blessings.
Ah thank you so much for popping in Dearest and for your so very encouraging words...your poor friend, you just never know what the day holds in for you do you...I've been wondering, how is that heel of yours? Wishing you a beautiful and sunny day...we are starting to get cold now Down Under...Dzintra
Anita, this is one of your most beautiful posts ever! Your mother raised a caring, lovely, loving daughter!
I think of mine every day; so many thing remind me of her. Cooking, recipes, jewelry, photos, antiques...all the things she gave me, but most of all, her love, her strength and determination.
I hope you had a beautiful Mother's Day!
Oh Anita 29 is too young to loose your mother ! And for your mother that must have been very hard too !
She can be so very proud ! You are such a loving caring person .
I lost my mother when I was 49 and still wished she could be here .
When I was little my mother typed on such an old but black typewriter. With 10 fingers without looking ! Magical to me !
She would have loved the computer !
My son who is going to be a father , and his Vanessa gave me a subscription for a magazine . Its a magazine for GRANDPARENTS !
You know I love magazines and this one is new for me !
The weather overhere is so so very summerish beautiful and warm . Looks like summer allready !
Have warm days and evenings sweet friend
Dear Anita I have not heard of Little Dog Syndrome...please take care...injuries can happen in a flash...Have a beautiful Thursday...Dzintra
Good morning sweet friend..it is one wet one here today...more rain but boy is everything GREEN! Nothing I adore more than looking out my window at the new leaves and green grass growing...the colour is amazing!

I forgot to tell you I got a lovely gift certificate for Rosies shop...a Mother's day gift from my daughter..can't wait to go in and peek around. Will wait for a day when she is in her adorable shop!
Sending you a blessed day my sweet friend. xoxoxox hugs
Good sunny afternoon dear Anita! I hope the sun is shining for you today inside and out! I hope that you are getting things wrapped up for the end of school. Do you take the summer off or do other things? That would be so wonderful to enjoy the summer days any way you please. :)

Anita, I am without words...
"Mon cœur a trouvé un endroit pour se reposer."
Beauty flows from a heart of a womens soul, you are the soul of that women, and what beauty is within.
Your Mom is sure proud of her daughter, and your testimony to being all that we can be!

I am not sure if I left a message, but your words are incredibly moving and tender! You and her were too young to part! But it's not in our power to help it! You will see her again, just believe this and the love you got from her to carry along for as long as you shall live!
I guess I can see were the lovingness and longing in your posts comes from!
Much love!
Victoria
Touching and beautiful.

A beautiful tribute to your mother.
I'm sure she is proud of the woman you have become.
Good morning my sweet!
Rain, Rain GO AWAY!!!!
There ARE days when I do love the
pitter...patter of rain drops on my window pane, but NOT NOW. I have SO much to do. Fortunately my mista has tomorrow off and we will blitz...I hope.
AND YOU MY DEAR, are sun bathing on your fabulous red and white beach chair. Ok, dig out those cute shorts and lets get this party STARTED!
My mom and aunt are dropping in for brunch on her way through to Vancouver on Friday...YIPPEE...not sure what will be on the menu, but thinkin`maybe an "ooey gooey cinnamon bun", a plate of fresh fruit, and of course a steaming hot cuppa. CAN'T WAIT!!!
I will be sure to save you one my sweet...see you in the morning...

Hello, Anita
Yes, your comment on my post for Blogger came through.
Oh! And I absolutely love all of the photos on the Faerie Tale post before this one. So Charming!
And Claude Debussey and Clair de Lune was and always has been one of my favorites...when I was younger and very much in love with love with a romantic Victorian girl's heart, I would swoon when I heard Clair de Lune and would literally weep to have my own true love. Gosh! Fairy Tales have such an influence on young girls and young boys...not that life is perfect after marriage...the books and movies never do show what follows 'happily ever after'...
Have a lovely day!
Teresa
THank God I believe also
It helps to know this but I sure miss my Mother. I only knew 3 weeks before she died that she had cancer. It took years to get over the shock
I talk to her and feel her presence sometimes
In Mom's memory xoxoxoxo
Hi sweet Antia, I think these Blogger problems were world wide. The posts published after May 11th disappeared (when I am not mistaken). I posted again..
Lots of love and hugs to you, ALWAYS o xx o

Hi Anita...
You and I share in this... the loss of our mothers at such a tender age.
I was only 23. I was a newlywed ~ married barely six months. My youngest is 23 now... and I can not imagine that I was that young...and that it's been that long.
I can still feel my mother's presence near me ~ there are times that just amaze me and I know that her love continues regardless of time.
I believe the circle is unbroken for those who love ♥ and we will be together again with our beloved mothers ~
Beautiful post, Anita! Thank you for stopping by today ~ I'm always grateful for your "company."
*blessings always*

I know...can't imagine what problems blogger was having! I didn't know if anyone had seen my post or not. I have been meaning to comment on the comment you left me! I love it that you think of me when you are out garage saling...lol. YOur sideboard is going to be beautiful! I can't wait to see your new room! Are you going to let us all see it?? I want to get that chandelier cleaned up this weekend. Going to be a rainy week ahead...what else is new???? We have plans to go to a garden/antique show but I just wonder if downpours could keep us from going. I guess we will find out. Have a glorious weekend my friend!~ Hugs, Patti

Dear Anita, While going back to read the rules for your Paris Inspiration Party I scrolled down and started to read your next post about your mama. I am so touched.
Expressing your emotions through your words and images so heart felt. I share those very same beliefs. A lovely post and tribute to your precious mama...........

Absolutely beautiful, Anita! And so very touching. I'm right there with you, wishing to see mom again on Mother's Day. Or any day. For now we keep their memories safe and alive. Thank you so much for your lovely tribute. And sending you much love.

This post has touched me deeply this morning Anita. Just knowing you lets me know what kind of a woman your mother was and is. I love how you weave words into a beautiful story EVERY time you post. Whenever I come here I feel that I have been transported to a magical place EVERY time!!!
I am so sorry that I have been absent so much Anita, I am having a hard time keeping up with everything right now. It always feels like I have gone on vacation after coming here, so I thank you for your beautiful posts. They make my day!
sending hugs from here...
Simply enchanting to visit here. I am your newest follower and so glad I found you.
I lost my dear mother 20 years ago and it still makes me cry to think about it. What a lovely tribute.
Hello Anita
I just found your blog today and am reading your early postings. Such pleasure. You are a gifted writer.
I am sorry to read your mother left this world when you and her were so young. My mother is also in heaven. I love the doll your mother made for you. My mother made me a doll using potatoes, seashells for eyes and seaweed for hair. We grew up by the ocean and her dolls were a regular items for us. Many of our dolls got left by the shore and the tide swept them away. My sister almost drowned one time, swimming after her doll.
Thank you for sharing this poignant personal story.
Lifting you up in prayer
Helen
