Anitaaaaaa.........did you write this for me??......the word for me these past weeks has been exactly that...."fragile".....like a breeze could shatter me into pieces. I adore you, I don't know how you do it, but you find the most amazing images, and your own poetry is the balm to my ears and soul. No mundane sounds from the mouths of mediocrity are acceptable anymore.....but the beauty of soul as you express brings me back to LIFE and the LIVING.......'''seasoned women'' ''the light years above''......and women and children playing on the stars and moons living their dreams and capturing them ! sighhhh

and by the way, my ''rendition'' of the Moss, Rose and Candle Chandelier is not done, in fact, I do feel inspired to make it today. I will post again on it when I am done. I feel a bit giggly now with joy at going out to get some roses for this....I will delight in its floral light later on tonight.....lol ....I'm playing with words now :D

I love this...and it is so true.....and there is so very much to pay attention to, is there not!
A never ending story...which does have an ending...finding the time to finish it all has become my great challenge!
Happy Sunday Wishes my creative friend!

Isn't it amazing how normal things can become extraordinary if we can somehow just begin to see it? Maybe the astonishment of youth's newness with everything gets lost and forgotten as we move into the tyrannical bustle of the world, and only found again as seasoned eyes rush toward their final astonishment. Perhaps it is only then, when time, like our tired eyes, contract to a sliver. Ah, what a brilliant horizon.
Thanks, love, for inspiring my day.

Very beautiful heartfelt message. So many beautiful gifts right within our sight, if only we quiet our mind and see it's wonder. We all need to love the life we live and live it to it's fullest.

Beautiful images and a beautiful message as well. If we would all just awake each day to realize that even what we have already seen can be seen differently and in a different like, we would all continue to be astonished by the beauty around us. While that bud is still there from yesterday, today it just might be a bit more open.

Oh Anita, there's so much to see outside and tell about. The white blossom tree is gorgeous and they are all around here right now. Oh my goodness, I love the picture of the owl and the girl. What a glorious picture. And the horse running through the field - how free that would make me feel. There's nothing new under the sun, but you always find something new in everything you see and do.

I wanted to tell you that I loved your comment today about my Barbie (ssshhhh, it was a favorite). I loved hearing the story of how your mom made you so many outfits and accessories too, and how the memories will always remind you of her. I know what you mean, though, cause there are things that I've given away, and l look back now and say to myself, "why did I give that away?"

I loved your post today, and especially those little girls at the end. I am going to send them to Jess and Nel. Have a nice Sunday, my beautiful friend.

Hello on Sunday dear Anita!
You have such a wonderful eye - and ear, for what goes beautifully together! Those windows are amazing, as is the trim surrounding them inside; the owl was marvelous with the little girl and unfolding his wings, the house with the pale peach roses climbing its walls stirs my heart in the tenderest of ways, the blue bird, the two young girls confiding in one another - all is new again thanks to your magic in reminding us that with perspective, everything is extraordinary:)

Divine smile, when she met
And clothing this veiled place
With loveliest reflection
Of her face...

Some people would look at the ocean like we do each day and think "it looks the same every day", but it is new every single day and there is so much beauty in the changing colors of the water, the rise or fall of the tide, the size of the waves. I remember when I first brought this up to my afterschool kids...they looked at me with heads cocked, huh...so we have had some eye opening discussions on enjoying the process, I say. one little boy said to me last year...I never knew I liked to do this stuff Mrs. Miller (when I found him staring at his collage I posted on a wall) I love it! he says and then mentioned that "it sure is fun to do it with you and the other kids too" priceless! xoxo

Dear Anita, I was so in need of a wake up call of beauty, hope and love. I hate feeling sorry for my miserable self when there is so much beauty in this world. everynight, when I get home, I stand in my courtyard and look at the stars ir makes me feel a part of the mystery that is so much grander than ourselves. My husband gave me an amazing app "sky guide", it opened a whole new world of stars..

ANITA!!!! Hi lovely friend - i was so happy to come home and see that you do like your portrait and feel yourself in it I'm always a little nervous when i draw someone i know, because - of course i want to make them look their best! Looking at your pictures, i found that, yes, your smile is very characteristic of you and you hadn't changed much over the years. You are really sparkling and shining your light and that is, what keeps people young and - beautiful! And Paris really fits to you - a city of soft and elegant greys and pastels, a historic site but also always fresh and new, considering all the art and fashion!
Hop you have a wonderful day - thinking of you and sending you sunshine!

Oh my talented and beautiful friend-we will never lose touch. :) Just stopping back again to let you know I will certainly be forwarding links to my new digs and you won't have to follow twitter to get to it. I'm just having Stylemindchic moved to Wordpress. It will be found at stylemindchiclife.com. Easy, breezy-I hope. I agree, I'm not really into twitter but I do use it to publish blog posts. I also use Stumbleupon which I see in stats gives me lots of views-but probably not many comments. Ahhh, the backside of blogging. Just never lose the passion and creativity, Anita. You are such a gift to the blogging community!
xx, H

My friend, I had too come back to linger here once more.
I came for another stroll through the wonderment you offer us .
Upon the back of that beautiful brown horse I gaze through his ears out into the sun kissed field.
I stop for a moment at the crescent moon surrounded by stars .
I sit in the shadow of that fascinating gnarly tree .
I pick a few daisies and watch the ferns dance and flutter in the breeze.
That gorgeous fluffy feathered blue bird of happiness certainly does reside here ~
here where I marvel at the creativity of a beautiful seasoned sophisticated woman
that amazes me as she embraces her inner child .
I sigh with contentment .
Thank you my friend ,
Most Sincerely,
Willow

Good morning dearest Anita! And - yes, OF COURSE you are allowed to post your portrait - and use it anyway you want to - sure, it makes me happy! So kind of you to spread the word about the upcoming article and let your readers know about Scarlet Pink.
I'll get down to finishing my answers for the interview with SP this afternoon i hope and select some pictures. Of course your portrait will be amongst them! Also, i'll have the print made over the weekend and send it to you. Could you e-mail me your postal address again?
Am exited - you know, i just got a comment from one of my readers, who said, she recognized you instantly on the portrait ;) You see - your smile & your style really do stand out! Keep sparkling and have a fantastic day! xox

hey Anita! I'm making progress by leaps and bounds. I still have to have a nap in the morning and the afternoon, but all things considered, less than a week after surgery, I feel pretty good. It is still a bit hard to blog and be at the computer a ton but I feel really good today. Thanks for the nice words and encouraging promise of spring and summer. I start chemo on 4-18 so get your Pink post, attitude or ensemble ready, k? Keep praying. I am collecting all the prayers I can, let me tell ya. ♥

I have a rosette topiary that is very similar to the vine going around the window in one of your pics above. So pretty.
Thank you for stopping by the table, friend. Hope you noticed my little note of gratitude to you for the scripted dove I used on my tag. :) It found its way to a most perfect spot, as did one of your golden metal pieces for another tag I made last week.
Have a lovely day.

Very well-said, Anita! I was just explaining this recently to my daughter in a letter. When one can find joy and delight in simple things, he/she will always be blessed. And sharing that joy and delight only multiplies the blessing. Peace.

I am so blessed to be allowed to see the world again through my daughter's eyes.
Years ago, I had wondered if that's all there is. I was in a very dark place. Very dark and alone.
God taught me (through Gracie and Michael) that that is NEVER all there is.
Thank you for the reminder.

Hi Dear Friend!
I can't get over how beautiful these windows are on your blog header! If I had a house with them, I think I'd sit and just stare at them for hours. haha...Happy Friday to you! Are you on spring break soon? The kids in our area had spring break this week and go back to school on Monday. It's hard to believe that we're almost into the month of April! WOAH!

That was a great analogy of the clock ticking in fast motion and watching kids grow up. I'm sure you have seen that a lot with the students you have taught over the years. Each stage of their growth is a lot of fun. It keeps getting more and more fun watching M & S interact...

We had another beautiful rainbow tonight. This time it was a double rainbow. Yay! I hope you have a great weekend, Anita.

Enjoy!

xoxo

GEE WHIZ Anita...have I maybe said this before; i love the messages you leave on my blog. you are the sweetest ever! i love that you painted a table with chalk paint...this intrigues me as i see other people's work with this paint...they all look so different. and i guess it's the look one is after...i love the muted colors, and would like to try it out myself.
as for the paint i use; Golden fluid acrylics or HEAVY BODY in the same line are my go to. but i do paint with many other kinds, and it is a really good way to find out the differences for your own taste. even though i am sure there are volumes written on the subject, i think the only way would be your own tests and preferences. and i don't think any thing matters, EXCEPT for the lasting qualities, especially when we sell. that's my humble opinion. one humorous example from me would be....there is an 88cent craft paint i sometimes add to Golden's to get just the right illusion, usually in small doses. boy, i could write a book (snore) on all the products I've experimented with. and i have to say, it has all been worth it, learning more than one thing at a time (not just about the consistency, etc).
i must say too, on this same note; i have many friends that AGREE to DISAGREE on how paints work for them, what you are after and so on...I'm sure this paints you a pretty good picture...only no STRESS...just do it as they say! xoxo

oh...i forgot...no worries ever about getting back to me, ever. and i sure do know about the school time hours. when easter arrives here, that will be when i get a weeks break, yayyyy! and then come June 10th, i am retiring to paint away my days ;))))

I found it Anita...the traveling journal...your page is exquisite. and I so love that idea, where will it end up?
thank you for the name of the chalk paint. when warmer weather hits...i'll be searching.
I am an after school director (with an early childhood teaching certificate) the school is full of Kinders-8th graders. (my fav age was not pre-schoolers I found out in class). it is the best job on earth for me, yes teaching of sorts, about every minute...or listening, homework, art, crafts, nature hunts...keeps me younger than I am. I shall retire though as I mentioned...(soon to be 65 in July) I want my whole life to do over again, ha!!! but I will return to teach some art classes to the children and parents, they have given me the gift of trust and pure joy to entertain on both age levels. it's been a lifetime of learning and blessings, with all my doors and windows flung wide open to those little ones, teaching me something every day, and lots of HUMOR! I am sure you have an idea of this, teaching French and from just being a teacher period. we receive much more than we ever expected. I feel like I've repeated myself, hope not...trying to answer your questions. Have a marvelous writing week! xoxox
