I hope you are both well and happy dear friend, and able to carve out some much needed creative time. Your soul depends on it, I believe.

I always feel like my comment is inadequate after your beautiful words. Before I commented, today I chose to read what others had said.

I must agree with Mea. When I see you have posted, it feels exactly like a gift, to be opened slowly, again and again. I savor the words and music and images and go back to my gift many times until you give me a new one.

Thank You!

ANITA.. this hit home this morning as my youngest graduates in two weeks with her Masters in Accounting.. and what a journey that was! It is bittersweet. I am thankful we are relieved of the cost component BUT will miss the youthful college years as (now) both of my kids are out there in the adult working world. Yes, it all starts with a small seed and two people falling in love. Thank you for this beautiful post in honor of all Grads AND those that got them there!! xxleslie

Awh, my HM and I were married in June. Yup, I am a June Bride. Third time got it right. lol Lovely tribute to your two focals; love and education. Very well done my Minnesota friend, very well. Anita, please have a lovely holiday weekend and enjoy your time with your loving husband. I am feeling more well today. The symptoms are more mellow and that is wonderful! It is amazing how water and activity help get the symptoms to get out. I am on less pills this time too, which is a BIG difference. Be certain to see my post for Monday ...eeeek especially my hair, or the lack thereof. eeeeek. ♥, Renae

Anita,
What a lovely post honoring the graduates and the couples who are getting married. Jess will graduate next month getting her Masters, and I get so emotional when I go to one of my loved one's graduations. This cottage with the purple roof and walkway is magical. Nel saw your cottage and said it looked just like a storybook cottage. She loved it. And this little boy catching the fish - his prize hehehe! You always come up with the most wonderful pictures to tell the story, Anita. Yes, all because two people fell in love......isn't it amazing all the goodness that comes after?

Have a peaceful weekend, dear Anita.

Usually, I'm here for the pictures, but this time I stayed for the words. How beautiful. How wonderfully constructed, turning back to the beginning and reminding us that events that feel small on the cosmic scale are actually full of significance. Hi Anita,

Thanks so much for stopping by...that white and black pattern is actually a shower curtain. We've had it for years, but I still love it. When I brought it downstairs yesterday, Maximus asked me why I had the shower curtain and I explained that I needed to take Santino's weekly photo...and that I did the same thing for him when he was little. haha...

So happy to hear that you are going to be done with school in a couple of weeks. I bet you are counting down the days. It seems like you're going later this year. Perhaps for all of those snow days you guys had earlier?? Good and bad I suppose...But I bet you are just about as giddy as your students to be on summer break soon.

Have a lovely week...I just heard Santino on the baby monitor so I better say, bye bye in case I need to go see him.

How was your weekend?
It was hot here but we had Florida like weather where it's sunny & HOT until about 3:00 PM and thunderstorms pop up and go away pretty fast.
I couldn't believe Marilyn Monroe would have been 88 years old on the first of June had she lived. I always felt her style was pretty classic. She favored Levi's jeans, black capri pants, Pucci blouses, Chanel No. 5, red lipstick, & Ferragamo black kitten style heels.
Isabelle, our dog, is slowly getting better. On Thursday she finally began gently placing her paw down but still limps and is in pain. At least it's headedinbthe right direction. We're just hoping it's not neurological.....
Hope you had a wonderful Monday!!!!
Love & Hugs,
Shannon

came back to see your post again. Gosh! I haven't had a Pompano fish since I left Florida.
Well it's heating up at last in Maine, and along with it Mosquitoes. Better get the yard work done.
So far no black flies. yvonne

Dear sweet Anita,
Back again to enjoy an encore presentation of your lovely post. My heart sings with the photo of the boy with the fish. My Grand Dane loves to fish and does nearly everyday. I came back to check out the church you posted ... OMGosh it looks exactly like one in my neighborhood.
Enjoy your last week of school and the kickoff to your Summer of play.
XOXO,
Vera

Lovely photos and themes here Anita! Thanks for the ray of sunshine this morning. I have figured out that in order to stay energetic and keep the chemo symptoms at bay, I can only do a few things each day. Which is better than being stuck in bed all day. That only happens on the first few days after the infusion. After that I have to make sure I manage my energy, not too much, not too little. A few days last week I was so energetic, I was not believing my energy levels, but then I did too much and bammmm down I go again. So a little bit each day is perfect. I haven't barfed once, I haven't stayed awake in agony once and I haven't been able to exercise but it is all good. If the next 4 are like #2, I've got this!!! Happy day to you dear, sweet friend! happy day! ♥, Renae

Well, I will be singing Hallelujah when my hair is back. I don't feel ugly at all. That is not the issue. It is the feel / what my head feels like, that is odd. 1/16th of an inch is just stubble that is so prickly or velcro like. I guess I didn't make that clear in my post. Oh well. I just learned today that a dear co cancer patient is now having to have her 4th surgery for cervical cancer. Just when her hair grows in to be substantial she has to have chemo AGAIN! Man, I count my blessing 100 times a day that I am not getting worse at all. Ah, thank you for your wonderful friendship and support. ♥, Renae

Thanks for stopping by today, my dear. Can you believe those girls and some of the dishes they ate in New Orleans.....alligator bites! I also heart that Jess' boyfriend tried the frog legs.....yikes! How are you doing on this lazy Sunday afternoon? We went to a festival yesterday. Did you hear about the Triple Crown race that went on yesterday? Well, one of the horses in Yuba City ran in that race, and there was a big festival that we went to in Yuba City. It was a long day but so much fun. Anita, there is a cupcake shop in this town, and you would not believe how amazing these cupcakes were. I took three home with me hehehe.

Have a beautiful Sunday, my friend.

love,
~Sheri

Hello dearest Anita!!!!
How are you? Did you have a fun weekend? We had crazy weather here Saturday- we heard the tornado sirens go off twice in 20 minutes!!!! Luckily they were far enough away from our house.
I got the new Sharon Tate book called Recollection. It's amazing!!!! It focuses on Sharon's style and find memories recalled by family, friends, and co stars. It's great to see a book about her that isn't focusing on how she died. You would love the book!!!!
Hope you're having a wonderful Monday!!!!
Love & Hugs,
Shannon
